Ink. Stamp. Share. February Monthly Blog Hop Fancy Fold Cards

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. February Monthly Blog Hop as we showcase wonderful Fancy Fold cards to help inspire you. I hope you will take the time to hop along and visit the amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are participating in our blog hop as they share their ideas and projects to help spark your creative spirit.
Fancy Fold cards are a wonderful way to make the people you care about feel extra special. For my Fancy Fold card, I chose to create a Gate Fold card and I stepped it up by using the pretty Flowers For Every Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152486) combined with Gold Foil and Gold Embossing for an elegant touch. I am not normally a yellow person, but I just love this gorgeous designer series paper and wanted it to be the showcase for this card.
Products Used:
Jar Of Flowers stamp set (item #152515)
Peaceful Moments stamp set (item #151595)
Flowers For Every Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper
(item #152486)
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323)
Layering Ovals Dies (item #151771)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Bumblebee Cardstock (item #153077)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon (item #153622)
Measurements:
Basic White Thick Cardstock
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8")
Basic White Cardstock
Inside Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Oval die cut with Stitched Shapes Dies
Bumblebee Cardstock
Inside Layer - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Flowers For Every Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper
2 Pieces - 5 1/4" x 1 7/8"
Gold Foil
Scalloped Oval die cut with Layering Ovals Dies
This pretty Gate Fold card is simple to create and fits inside a regular medium sized envelope. The Bumblebee designer series paper really pops against the Basic White cardstock and I love how the Gold Foil frames the sentiment label. The Gold Embossing for the sentiment label and on the inside layer of the card adds a touch of elegance to the card. I used the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and I added the floral image from the Jar Of Flowers stamp set to the sentiment label and the inside of the card to coordinate with the designer series paper. The used a piece of the Bumblebee ribbon to keep the card closed and tied a bow next to the sentiment label as a decorative touch. This pretty Spring themed card would work for a variety of occasions.

ICS September Blog Hop 2020 Mini Catalog Fun Fold

Welcome to the ICS September Blog Hop as we explore sharing Fun Fold card designs using products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. You will be visiting with wonderful Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you to create your own amazing card designs.
For my fancy fold card design, I chose to use products from the amazing Snowflake Splendor Suite. I love the way all of these beautiful products coordinate together to make creating projects so much easier. For my card design, I chose to use the Snowflake Wishes Bundle (item #155172) combined with the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512) for a non-traditional frosty Christmas card.
 Products Used:
Snowflake Wishes Bundle (item #155172)
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512)
Winter Snow Embossing Folder (item #153577)
Blue Adhesive Backed Gems (item #153547)
Basic Rhinestones (item #144220)
Stitched Nested Label Dies (item #149638)
Silver Foil Sheets (item #132178)
Night of Navy cardstock (item #100867)
Seaside Spray cardstock (item #150883)
Whisper White cardstock (item #100730)
 Measurements:
Night of Navy card base - 4 1/4' x 11" (Scored at 5 1/2")
Cut at 1 1/2" after the score mark on one side to create top flap
Cut 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece from remaining piece of Night of Navy        for bottom piece
Snowflake Splendor DSP - 2 pieces  1 1/4" x 4"
Seaside Spray inside card layer - 4" x 5 1/4" (embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder
Extra Seaside Spray, Whisper White and Night of Navy cardstock for die cut layers
Silver Foil to die cut snowflakes
This fancy fold is simple to assemble and the focal layer has been die cut using dies from the So Many Snowflakes Dies and Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I covered the back of the focal layer with a die cut layer of Seaside Spray cardstock that I embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. The sentiments from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set have been heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder to coordinate with the Silver Foil die cut snowflakes. I used the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to embellish the silver snowflakes and the small Basic Rhinestones to embellish the Night of Navy snowflake detail of the frame on the focal image. I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to attach the focal layer to the top flap and bottom layer of the card front. I wanted to make sure that I had a strong adhesive that would hold the card front together. I love how this card came together to create a sparkly Christmas design for someone special.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will inspire you to try this fun fold technique and create your own beautiful cards for the people you love. There are so many wonderful Stampin' Up! products to explore to help you with your creativity.

GSF September Blog Hop Fancy Fold

Welcome to the GSF September Blog Hop as we showcase Fancy Fold card designs to help inspire you. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their amazing projects and ideas using current Stampin' Up! products.
Today I decided to try creating a Double Easel Card and I was inspired by a design created by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Lyssa Zwolanek. Her card design had a Fall theme but I decided to create a fun and frosty Christmas card using products from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the non-traditional colors in the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512) and I created my color combination from the colors used in this paper pack. To decorate this fancy fold card design, I chose to use the Warm & Toasty stamp set (item #152615) and the Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444) to create this wonderful Winter themed Christmas card.
 Products Used:
Warm & Toasty stamp set (item #152615)
Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444)
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512)
In The Woods Die Set (item #151809)
Misty Moonlight cardstock (item #153081)
Balmy Blue cardstock (item #146982)
Highland Heather cardstock (item #146986)
Thick Whisper White cardstock (item #140272)
Whisper White cardstock (item #100730)
Stampin' Blends Markers - Balmy Blue Combo, Highland Heather Combo, Seaside Spray Light
Color Lifter (item #144608)
Basic Rhinestones (item #144220)
Seal Adhesive (item #152813)
 Measurements:
Card base - 4 1/4" x 11" Misty Moonlight cardstock
(scored at 5 1/2")
Layer 1 - 4" x 9 3/4" Thick Whisper White cardstock
(scored at 2 1/4" & 4 1/2")
Designer Series Paper - 1 piece  5" x 3 3/4", 2 pieces 2" x 3 3/4"
Stamping layers - Whisper White cardstock 2 pieces 2 1/4" x 4"
Matte layers - 1 Balmy Blue cardstock 1 piece 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
                       1 Highland Heather cardstock
                       1 piece 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Inside layer - Whisper White cardstock 5 1/4" x 4"
This card design is very simple to create. The background piece for the front panel was sponged using Sponge Daubers and Balmy Blue and Highland Heather Classic Ink Pads. The snow layers in the background were die cut with a die from the In The Woods Die set. I fussy cut the skating polar bear and colored both bears using Stampin' Blends Markers and softened the coloring around the edges of the bears with the Color Lifter. The combination of both stamp sets gave me a wider range of sentiments and snowflake images to decorate my card. This is such a fun design and I love this color combination.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you enjoy my card design and I hope it inspires you to try creating your own Fancy Fold card. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore and this fold is great for creating cards for special occasions.
