Ink. Stamp. Share. September Monthly Blog Hop Autumn

As September comes to an end, we are all embracing Autumn and getting in the spirit creating projects for the new season. Our Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Design Team is looking forward to sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity for Fall.
The early signs of Autumn have arrived and the colors are already starting to change. The bright colors of Summer are being replaced by the warm, muted tones of Fall and I am loving the chance to create projects with a new color palette. For my card design, I chose to use the new Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks to create a lovely sunflower design. Here in Colorado, the sunflowers are putting on their final display and I love seeing these beautiful flowers along the road side. I chose to use Crushed Curry with a touch of Pumpkin Pie for the flowers and Pecan Pie with Early Espresso for the centers. The leaves are a combination of Old Olive with Mossy Meadow. This clean and simple card design is a wonderful way to show the transition of seasons and would work well for a variety of occasions.

Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks are the star of the show with this card design. I love how each layer lines up to make it so simple to create a beautiful design. The notches and numbers in the top left corner help you to know what sequence is needed to create your beautiful sunflowers. I used Blending Brushes to apply the ink colors and I love the softness that they create. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Translucent Florals stamp set with Gold embossing powder. I added the sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and finished off the card with a couple of Gold pearls for a touch of bling. I used this design for a recent card swap and I loved how easy it was to create a lot of cards in a relatively short amount of time with these masks. I hope it inspires you to explore creating your own beautiful projects for Autumn and beyond.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities September Blog Hop Love & Gratitude

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities September Blog Hop and this month we are sharing alternative project ideas using the Love & Gratitude Kit. This beautiful kit has a lovely Fall feel to it, which is perfect for this time of year. Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get into the spirit of the season.
One of my favorite things about this kit are the wonderful die cuts used to decorate the cards and bags. They have an almost vintage feel to them and I knew that I wanted to use them for my focal image. Instead of creating the small card in the kit, I decided to show how to transform the pieces from that card into a full size card that you could mail to a friend. To achieve this, I added a Pebbled Path cardstock card base and a Basic White cardstock layer to help frame the focal design. I love how these beautiful colors work together to create this versatile card design that could be used for a variety of occasions.
Products Used:
September Paper Pumpkin Love & Gratitude Kit
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #161354)
Pebbled Path Cardstock (item #161722)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack (item #161633)
Festive Pearls (item #159963)
Measurements:
Pebbled Path Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5" x 3 3/4"
Love & Gratitude Kit
Lost Lagoon Texture Card Front - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
This card design is very much a CASE of the design on the small card from the kit. I cut the small Lost Lagoon card base to create the card front and then stamped the tone on tone background design using the large leaf stamp from the exclusive stamp set with the Lost Lagoon Stampin' Spot onto the card front. I love how the combination of the textured background and the stamped leaves creates a pretty background that helps anchor the focal design. I layered the Lost Lagoon card front onto the Basic White cardstock layer and then added a piece of  Gold 1/8" Trim around the card front to cover the fold score line. You could add a bow if you wanted to, but I wanted to keep the design relatively clean. I then added this layer to the Pebbled Path card base with Stampin' Dimensionals from the kit. To decorate the card front, I added a Pebbled Path circle that I punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch, to the bottom left corner of the Lost Lagoon card front. I layered the die cuts from the kit to create the focal image, adding the pumpkin with Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I stamped the For You image with the Lost Lagoon Stampin' Spot to the sentiment label from the kit and attached it to the card front, making sure to tuck the left end underneath the pumpkin die cut. To complete the card design, I added several of the light green pearls from the Festive Pearls for a touch of bling. I love that these pearls are close enough in color to coordinate with the Lost Lagoon elements for this card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to think outside the box to create your own wonderful projects with this kit. There are so many wonderful ways to create alternative card designs with the supplies in this kit.

New At SU September Blog Hop Shine, Shimmer & Glow September-December 2023 Mini Catalog

Welcome to the New At SU September Blog Hop as we explore this month's theme "Shine, Shimmer & Glow with the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog". It's a fun way to explore the wonderful new products in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog with a bit of a twist. Our talented Design Team will be sharing their ideas and projects to help inspire you to get creative.
For my card design, I wanted to show how the Translucent Florals Bundle could be used to create a beautiful Fall themed birthday card. I chose colors that had a distinctive Fall feel to them including Wild Wheat, Copper Clay, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso. For my touch of shimmer, I used a piece of the Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper for the background and I embossed it with the new Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to add some wonderful texture. For the base of my floral design, I die cut a circle using the new Deckled Circles Dies and I love how the Copper Clay cardstock peeks through the floral design to add depth and dimension.  This was a color combination I had not tried before and I really love how these colors work together to create that warm Fall feeling.
Products Used:
Translucent Florals Bundle (item #162253)
Deckled Circles Dies (item #162286)

Copper Clay Cardstock (item #161721)
Wild Wheat Cardstock (item #161725)

Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad (item #147101)

2 medium flowers stamped with Calypso Coral Classic ink
2 small flowers stamped with Copper Clay Classic ink
2 large leaves stamped with Wild Wheat Classic ink
2 medium leaves stamped with Wild Wheat Classic ink
(all flowers and leaves created using the Translucent Floral Bundle)
Wild Wheat Cardstock
2 detailed foliage die cut with the Translucent Floral Dies
Early Espresso Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
For this card design, I wanted to let the different colors be the focus of this card design. The Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper adds a soft shimmer to the background the provides the perfect background for the flowers. I love how the Calypso Coral and Copper Clay flowers look together and the Wild Wheat leaves add a wonderful contrast without overpowering the design. For the centers of the large Copper Clay flowers, I added centers die cut from the Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper to help step up the design. To add a little more detail and texture, I die cut 3 of the detailed foliage die cuts from Wild Wheat cardstock and sponged them with Copper Clay Classic ink using a sponge dauber to add a touch of dimension to the design. The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto an Early Espresso label and I tucked the left side underneath the floral layers so that the right side lines up with the edge of the card front. To complete the card design, I added several Pebbled Path Dots. I love how this all came together and I am excited to see how the Translucent Florals Bundle will look with other color combinations.

Stamptastic Friends September Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone. I am so happy you could join me for today's Stamptastic Friends September Blog Hop. This month we have a fun Sketch Challenge and I can't wait to share with you the card design I created with it. Our wonderful Design Team will also be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative. Here is the sketch we are using this month.
For today's Sketch Challenge, I decided to create a fun Halloween card, combining the Trick or Treats Bundle with the Bag of Bones Bundle, For the background, I used one of the designs from the Them Bones Designer Series Paper and used Parakeet Party and Gorgeous Grape to add a pop of color to the design. I love the Frankenstein image from the Trick or Treats stamp set and thought he would be perfect for the focal image for this card.
Products Used:
Tricks Or Treats Bundle (item #162226)
Bag Of Bones Bundle (item #162219)
Deckled Circles Dies (item #162286)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Them Bones Designer Series Paper (item #162215)
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (item #146987)
Parakeet Party Cardstock (item #159259)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Parakeet Party Classic Ink Pad (item #159208)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies
Them Bones Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Frankenstein image stamped and die cut with the Tricks or Treats Dies
Parakeet Party Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Basic Black Cardstock
Bats die cut with the Bag of Bones Dies
Halloween doesn't have to be scary or spooky. I wanted my design to be fun and I thought that the Frankenstein image would be perfect for this card. I love the way the Parakeet Party Classic ink glows against the Gorgeous Grape cardstock circle that I die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies. For the background, I used one of the designs from the Them Bones Designer Series Paper and I liked how the subtle bones pattern added some texture to the card design. The sentiment has been heat embossed with Black embossing powder onto the Parakeet Party sentiment label to coordinate with the focal image. I wanted to keep the design simple, so I chose to use the bats die to cut out several with the Bag of Bones Dies as embellishments for the card front. There is something almost sweet about this card design and I would like to think it would bring a smile to someone's face when they receive it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to give this Sketch Challenge a try and see what you come up with. This sketch can be used for so many occasions and is a wonderful opportunity to explore new possibilities.

Stamping With Friends September Blog Hop September-December 2023 Mini Catalog

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends September Blog Hop as we showcase the wonderful new products in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the holidays and beyond.
Today I want to share a cute Halloween card that I created using the new Them Bones Suite Collection. Our family loves to decorate and celebrate even though our kids are grown up and past the Trick or Treat age. This not so spooky card design has fun "glow in the dark" skeletons in a graveyard on a dark night. The headstone reminds me of the fake headstones we put up in our front yard with funny names on them. I love that all the products in this suite coordinate to make it easy to create fun projects.
Products Used:
Them Bones Suite Collection (item #162222)
- Bag of Bones Bundle (item #162219)
- Them Bones Designer Series Paper (item #162215)
- Glow In The Dark 6"x6" Specialty Paper (item #162221)
- Glow In The Dark Bats & Ghosts (item #162220)
Nested Essentials Dies (item #161597)
Starry Sky Cardstock (item #159263)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Starry Sky Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/3" (Scored at 4 !/4')
Sentiment Label die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies
Them Bones Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Glow In The Dark Specialty Paper
Skeleton and cat skeleton stamped and die cut with the Bag of Bones Bundle
One of the things I love about this card design is the "spooky" background created from one of the designs in the Them Bones Designer Series Paper. The graveyard scene does all the work for this card design and all I needed to do was add the cute skeleton and cat skeleton to complete the scene. A tip for stamping on the Glow In The Dark Specialty Paper is to use a stamp positioner so that you can stamp the image several times so that the image is stamped evenly and you can make it as dark as you like. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder onto the Starry Sky label to make it pop and I added two of the Glow In The Dark Bats to finish off the design. Isn't this card so much fun? I can't wait to see what else I can create with this wonderful suite.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help spark your creativity ready for the holidays. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore in this new mini catalog.
