PPP April Blog Hop My Wonderful Family

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities April Blog Hop as we showcase alternative project ideas using the My Wonderful Family kit. This beautiful kit is perfect for what we are all currently facing and I love the wonderful sentiments that work for so many occasions.
For my alternative card design, I chose to use the images from the exclusive stamp set to create my card. I chose Highland Heather cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Whisper White cardstock as a matte for the Gorgeous Grape cardstock layer. I heat embossed the leaves image with Shimmer White Embossing powder, stamping the image in each corner to create a pretty background design. I also embossed the delicate butterflies image on to the background twice to fill in the blank spaces.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the exclusive stamp set, once again using Shimmer White Embossing Powder and added the butterflies image on either side to complete the design. For a touch of bling, I added small Basic Pearls to the design to finish it off.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design shows how easy it is to create beautiful cards with this wonderful kit, even after you have created the projects. There are so many wonderful possibilities.

3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop Mother's Day

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop as we showcase ideas for Mother's Day. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as we share our ideas and projects to help inspire you.
Today I decided to create a beautiful gift bag and coordinating card for Mother's Day. I chose to use the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (item #149484) and partnered it with the Magnolia Bloom stamp set (item #152729) and Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732). I chose to use two sheets of 12"x12" of the same pattern to create both projects.
The card is a clean and simple design using a 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of the designer series paper that was left over from creating the gift bag. I chose Petal Pink cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I attached the designer series paper piece to with Snail Adhesive.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and the flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set using Silver Embossing Powder onto the Whisper White cardstock layer. To embellish the card, I added a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) to the center of the card front with Snail Adhesive to hide the seam of the designer series paper. For a touch of bling, I added three small Basic Rhinestones below the sentiment to complete the card design. I colored the embossed flower with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Markers to coordinate with the design in the designer series paper.
To create the gift bag, I followed the directions in the tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers by Kelly Acheson here. I love how simple this bag was to create and the coordinating designs on the designer series paper look beautiful for this gift bag. I used two sheets of the same 12" x12" Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and cut them to 9 3/4" x 9 3/4" as per the tutorial instructions. The handles were cut from the same two sheets and were cut at 3/4" x 12".  I embellished the gift bag by tying a bow with the Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and adhered it to the middle of the top of the bag with Mini Glue Dots. I added two of the large Clear Faceted Gems (item #144142) to the base of straps for a touch of bling.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my gift bag and coordinating card design inspires you to create your own projects for Mother's Day. You will be amazed at how simple it is to create beautiful projects using designer series paper.
