2020 Kre8tors December Blog Hop Holiday

I am so excited to be a part of this special Kre8tors Blog Hop for December to finish off 2020 on a creative high note. Our theme is Holidays and I can't wait to see all the amazing projects shared by talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators participating in our blog hop today. I hope that you will be inspired by the ideas and projects we have to share with you.
One of my favorite things about creating cards for the holidays is all the different types of cards that you can create. Over the past few months I have created traditional, elegant, whimsical and even fancy over the top cards. But today I wanted to create a clean and simple card that reflected the peace and beauty of the season. I chose to use the stunning Feels Like Frost 6"x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #150444) as the focal image for my card design and added a simple sentiment from the Curvy Christmas stamp set (item #155364). The scene I chose was a beautiful, snowy Winter forest and I just love the photo realistic look of this pretty paper. It was important to me that the sentiment not overwhelm the scene, so I chose to use the Layering Ovals Dies to create the layers to fit in the top right corner.
Products Used:
Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper (Retiring) (item #150444)
Curvy Christmas stamp set (item #155364)
Layering Ovals Dies (item #151771)
Night Of Navy Cardstock (item #100867)
Silver Foil Sheets (item #132178)
Silver Embossing Powder (item #109131)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Stampin' Seal (item #152813)
Measurements:
Night Of Navy Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
(Scored at 4 1/4")
Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Night Of Navy Cardstock
- For the sentiment oval die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies
Silver Foil
- For the scalloped oval layer die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies
The key to this card design is the beautiful contrast between the Night of Navy card base and the designer series paper. I love the way it frames the image and brings it to life. The silver embossing for the sentiment from the Curvy Christmas stamp set coordinates with the Silver Foil scalloped oval layer that adds a touch of elegance and steps up the design. I added three small Basic Rhinestones to the card front for a touch of bling to complete the card design. This card design reminds me of when it snows in the Rocky Mountains not far from where I live and the fun family memories of holidays  past. The Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper is sadly retiring and is available only while supplies last. It is also on sale so make sure you place your order soon to avoid missing out on this beautiful paper.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to create your own special projects for the Holidays. Designer Series Paper is a wonderful way to create beautiful cards for Christmas without the stress. New At SU December Blog Hop Warm & Cozy

Welcome to the New At SU December Blog Hop as we share projects and ideas with the theme, "Warm & Cozy". As the days get colder, it's the perfect theme for creating projects to send to friends and family. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their creative ideas and projects to help inspire you.
Today I thought I would share a fun Winter themed card design featuring retiring products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the Freezin' Fun Bundle (item #155176) with its cute little critters and it works perfectly with the beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512) to create beautiful clean and simple card designs.
Products Used:
Freezin' Fun Bundle (item #155176)
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512)
Winter Snow Embossing Folder (item #153577)
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Classic Label Punch (item #141491)
Pacific Point Cardstock (item #111350)
Pool Party Cardstock (item #122924)
Whisper White Cardstock (item #100730)
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (item #132708)
White Embossing Powder (item #109132)
Stampin' Blends Markers
Measurements:
Pacific Point Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
(Scored at 4 1/4")
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Pacific Point Cardstock
- for Scalloped Circle die cut with Layering Circles Dies
- for sentiment label punched with the Classic Label Punch
Pool Party Cardstock - for Stitched Circle die cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies
Whisper White Cardstock - for stamped image
This clean and simple card design is suitable for a variety of occasions and is easy to create in multiples to add to your card stash. The designer series paper layer has been attached to the card base with Stampin' Seal Adhesive. The Pool Party circle has been embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder to add detail to the background and was attached to the Pacific Point scalloped circle with Stampin' Seal Adhesive. The focal image was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the image and attached it to the embossed Pool Party circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of Pacific Point cardstock and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. To assemble to card I attached both the focal image and sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Seal Adhesive. I chose not to add any bling or ribbon because I preferred the clean and simple look of this design. The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, Freezin' Fun Bundle and Winter Snow Embossing Folder are all retiring and are available while supplies last.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to create your own fun projects to warm the hearts of family and friends during these cold weather months.  Take advantage of the great savings during the Year-End Closeout Sale to stock up on your favorite products before they disappear.

Around The World On Wednesday December Blog Hop Something New Something Old

It's time to hop along with the Around The World On Wednesday December Blog Hop as we explore the theme - Something New, Something Old. You will be visiting with amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their creative ideas and projects to help inspire you.
For my card design, I chose to use the Dragonfly Garden Bundle from the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog as my something new and I paired it with the retiring Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog as my something old. While I am excited about this wonderful new bundle all its amazing possibilities, I am also sad to say goodbye to the beautiful designs of this designer series paper. I felt like they combined beautifully to create this elegant clean and simple Thank You card.
Products Used:
Dragonfly Garden Bundle (Sneak Peek from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog)
Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #153520)
Stitched So Sweetly Dies (item #151690)
Early Espresso Cardstock (item #119686)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink Pad (item #147102)
Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad (item #147114)
Copper Foil Sheets (item #142020)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Measurements:
Early Espresso Cardstock Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
(Scored at 4 1/4")
Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Early Espresso Cardstock - For label die cut with Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Very Vanilla Cardstock - For sentiment label die cut with Stitched So Sweet Dies
Copper Foil - For small dragonfly punched using the Dragonflies Punch
This clean and simple card design is easy to assemble and great for creating multiples to have on hand in your card stash. I attached the designer series paper layer to the card base with Stampin' Seal adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set onto the Very Vanilla label using Early Espresso Classic ink and stamped the floral image twice using Soft Sea Foam Classic ink to create a soft design. I added the sentiment label to the Early Espresso label with Stampin' Seal Adhesive and then added the label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using the new Dragonflies Punch, I punched out one of the small dragonflies from Copper Foil and attached it to the sentiment label with a Mini Glue Dot. I embellished the dragonfly with three small Basic Rhinestones and the sentiment label with two large Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling. I love the simple elegance of this card design and the beautiful foil detail of this designer series paper is a great way to create a simply Wow card without the stress.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to explore combining old and new products to create your own amazing projects and spark your creativity.

ICS December Blog Hop Thankfully Yours

Welcome to the ICS December Blog Hop and this month we are sharing Thank You card ideas for the theme of Thankfully Yours. Thank You cards are one of the most common cards we send, yet we tend not to think about them until we need them. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own stash of Thank You cards to have ready at a moment's notice.
Today I thought I would share how you can create simply beautiful Thank You cards using designer series paper. I chose to use the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper (item #153517) from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, which is actually Halloween themed. Yes, you heard correctly, I said Halloween. The beauty of this amazing designer series paper is the versatility of the designs and I was able to convert one of the black and white designs with just a little ink and sponge daubers.
Products Used:
Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper (item #153517)
Free As A Bird stamp set (item #149468)
Layering Ovals Dies (item #151771)
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock (item #146988)
Blushing Bride Cardstock (item #131198)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink Pad (item #147102)
Blushing Bride Classic Ink Pad (item #147100)
Rococo Rose Classic Ink Pad (item #150080)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Sponge Daubers (item #133773)
Metallic Pearls (item #146282)
Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897)
Measurements:
Card 1
Blushing Bride Cardstock Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
(scored at 4 1/4")
Basic Black Cardstock Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Gold Foil - For Scalloped Oval die cut with Layering Ovals Dies
Basic Black Cardstock - For Sentiment Oval die cut with Layering Ovals Dies
Card 2
Blushing Bride Cardstock Card Base - 5 1/2" x 4"
(Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic Black Cardstock Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Gold Foil - For Scalloped Oval die cut with Layering Ovals Dies
Basic Black Cardstock - For Sentiment Oval die cut with Layering Ovals Dies
The key to these wonderful cards is the sponging of color on the black and white designer series paper. I used Blushing Bride Classic ink with a Sponge Dauber to apply color the flowers and the added Rococo Rose Classic ink to deepen the color in the center of the flowers and to deepen the shadows. For the background, I applied Soft Sea Foam Classic ink with a Sponge Dauber to the designer series paper, adding more color to the shadows to create depth and dimension. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set with Gold Embossing Powder onto Basic Black cardstock and die cut it with the smallest oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies. I die cut scalloped ovals from Gold Foil to layer behind the sentiment ovals and added them to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The designer series paper layer was adhered to the Basic Black cardstock layer with Stampin' Seal and I added the card front to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. To add some shimmer, I used Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and leaves of the designer series paper. For a touch of bling, I added Gold Metallic Pearls to the sentiments to finish off the card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card designs will help inspire you to create your own beautiful Thank You cards. Using beautiful designer series paper is a great way to create lovely cards without the stress. The Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper is retiring and is on sale for just US$6.90, which is a great savings. This paper is only available while supplies last, so make sure to place your order before it disappears.
