Global Stamping Friends November Blog Hop Snowflakes

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends November Blog Hop as we showcase projects featuring Snowflakes. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.
When I think of Winter themed cards, I think of snowflakes. For today's card, I combined the Snowflake Wishes stamp set with the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders, both in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I used one of the beautiful Wonderful Snowflakes die cuts from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog as the focal image for my design and I love the way this pretty iridescent foil snowflake pops against the embossed Misty Moonlight background. There is something so clean and beautiful about the combination of Misty Moonlight and Basic White and I love how this clean and simple Christmas card turned out.
Products Used:
Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #158267)
Wintry 3D Embossing Folders (item #155433)
Wonderful Snowflakes (item #156340)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad (item #153118)
Opal Rounds (item #154289)
Stampin' Dimensionals
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4" Embossed with the snowflake embossing folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1- 5 1/4" x 4"
Sentiment Strip - 1" x 3 3/4"
This pretty card design has wonderful texture and detail while keeping the supplies simple. The Basic White layers pop against the Misty Moonlight layers and the embossing adds a wonderful subtle texture to the card front. The Wonderful Snowflake die cut has a lovely shimmer to it that helps step up the card design. I stamped the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Misty Moonlight Classic ink to coordinate with the card design but you could also heat emboss it with Silver embossing powder if you wanted to step it up to the next level. The Opal Rounds add an elegant touch to the design and coordinate beautifully with the die cut snowflake. I attached the snowflake to the card front with a Stampin' Dimensional in the center to pop it up. The card front was adhered to the Basic White layer with Stampin' Seal Adhesive and then I attached it to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love how this adds dimension to the card design. This clean and simple card design could be created in a variety of colors and it is a great design to create multiples to send out to the people on your Christmas card list.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects using snowflakes to send to family and friends. Snowflakes are perfect for Winter themed all occasion cards as well as Christmas cards. There are so many wonderful options to explore.

Colour Combo October Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo October Blog Hop as we are challenged to use Mossy Meadow, Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate to create our project this month. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas to help inspire you.
This month's color combination was quite a challenge and I decided to create a Winter themed card design using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I combined it with dies from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies and the In The Woods Dies to help create the Winter Scene as the focal image. I think that this design would work well as a masculine card for a variety of occasions.
Products Used:
Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444)
In The Woods Dies (item #151809)
Snow Globe Scenes Dies (item #150655)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Bermuda Bay cardstock (item #131197)
Mossy Meadow cardstock (item #133676)
Whisper White cardstock (item #100730)
Smoky Slate Classic Ink Pad (item #131202)
Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pad (item #147096)
Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends Combo (item #154878)
Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Sponge Daubers (item #133773)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Stampin' Seal (item #152813)
Measurements:
Bermuda Bay cardstock card base - 8 1/2" x 51/2" (scored at 4 1/4")
Mossy Meadow cardstock layer - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White cardstock layer - 3 3/4" x 5"
Bermuda Bay cardstock for circle die cut
Whisper White cardstock for snow
Mossy Meadow cardstock for trees die cut
The key to this card design is in the layers. I attached the Whisper White cardstock layer to the Mossy Meadow cardstock layer with Stampin' Seal and then added it to the Bermuda Bay cardstock card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. To create the focal image, I die cut a large circle from Bermuda Bay cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies and then die cut another circle from Whisper White cardstock and used the curved die from the In The Woods Dies to create the two layers for the snow. Using Bermuda Bay Classic ink, I sponged the edges of the snow layers with a Sponge Dauber to add a touch of color. The first layer of snow was attached to the Bermuda Bay circle with Stampin' Seal and then I attached the trees which were die cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Snow Globe Scenes Dies with Stampin' Seal to the snow layer. I attached the second layer of snow with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension to the design. The sentiment and snowflakes were stamped with Smoky Slate Classic ink and I added Basic Rhinestones colored with the Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends Marker for a touch of bling and added Clear Wink of Stella to the trees for shimmer.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will inspire you to try this color combination to help you create your own projects.

GSF September Blog Hop Fancy Fold

Welcome to the GSF September Blog Hop as we showcase Fancy Fold card designs to help inspire you. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their amazing projects and ideas using current Stampin' Up! products.
Today I decided to try creating a Double Easel Card and I was inspired by a design created by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Lyssa Zwolanek. Her card design had a Fall theme but I decided to create a fun and frosty Christmas card using products from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the non-traditional colors in the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512) and I created my color combination from the colors used in this paper pack. To decorate this fancy fold card design, I chose to use the Warm & Toasty stamp set (item #152615) and the Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444) to create this wonderful Winter themed Christmas card.
 Products Used:
Warm & Toasty stamp set (item #152615)
Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444)
Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (item #153512)
In The Woods Die Set (item #151809)
Misty Moonlight cardstock (item #153081)
Balmy Blue cardstock (item #146982)
Highland Heather cardstock (item #146986)
Thick Whisper White cardstock (item #140272)
Whisper White cardstock (item #100730)
Stampin' Blends Markers - Balmy Blue Combo, Highland Heather Combo, Seaside Spray Light
Color Lifter (item #144608)
Basic Rhinestones (item #144220)
Seal Adhesive (item #152813)
 Measurements:
Card base - 4 1/4" x 11" Misty Moonlight cardstock
(scored at 5 1/2")
Layer 1 - 4" x 9 3/4" Thick Whisper White cardstock
(scored at 2 1/4" & 4 1/2")
Designer Series Paper - 1 piece  5" x 3 3/4", 2 pieces 2" x 3 3/4"
Stamping layers - Whisper White cardstock 2 pieces 2 1/4" x 4"
Matte layers - 1 Balmy Blue cardstock 1 piece 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
                       1 Highland Heather cardstock
                       1 piece 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Inside layer - Whisper White cardstock 5 1/4" x 4"
This card design is very simple to create. The background piece for the front panel was sponged using Sponge Daubers and Balmy Blue and Highland Heather Classic Ink Pads. The snow layers in the background were die cut with a die from the In The Woods Die set. I fussy cut the skating polar bear and colored both bears using Stampin' Blends Markers and softened the coloring around the edges of the bears with the Color Lifter. The combination of both stamp sets gave me a wider range of sentiments and snowflake images to decorate my card. This is such a fun design and I love this color combination.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you enjoy my card design and I hope it inspires you to try creating your own Fancy Fold card. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore and this fold is great for creating cards for special occasions.

SBTD July Blog Hop Embossing Folders

It's time to hop along with the Stampers By The Dozen (aka STBTD) July Blog Hop as we showcase the amazing embossing folders that Stampin' Up! has to offer. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as the share ideas and projects to help inspire you.
My card design today features some Sneak Peek products from the New August-December 2020 Mini Catalog that launches August 4th. To escape the hot Summer weather outside, I had fun creating this beautiful snowflake themed Christmas card with products from the Snowflake Splendor Suite. The Winter Snow Embossing Folder adds a delicate embossed snowflake pattern to the background of this design that sets the theme for this card.
To create this card, I chose to use Misty Moonlight cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Seaside Spray cardstock that I embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder (item #153577) to add soft texture to the background. To create the sentiment label, I die cut a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock using a die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638). I heat embossed the sentiment from the new Snowflake Wishes stamp set (item #153444) with White Embossing Powder and embellished the label with three of the beautifully detailed snowflakes die cut using the coordinating So Many Snowflakes Dies (item #153560) from Whisper White cardstock.  For a touch of bling, I added Basic Rhinestones to the centers of each of the die cut snowflakes.
This clean and simple card design is easy to create and assemble. I added a piece of the Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) across the center of the card front and added the sentiment label over the top using Stampin' Dimensionals so that the snowflakes added depth and dimension to the design. I love that the Snowflake Wishes Bundle (item #155172) and the Winter Snow Embossing Folder provide me with everything I need to create pretty Christmas and Winter themed cards.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will get you excited about the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog that will launch August 4th. There are so many wonderful new products to help you get started with Holiday projects.
