Paper Pumpkin Possibilities May Blog Hop Exploring In Color

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities May Blog Hop as we share alternative projects and ideas using the Exploring In Color Kit. This amazing card kit features the beautiful new 2023-2025 In Colors with wonderful scenic landscapes that work for a variety of occasions. Our talented Design Team members will be sharing their projects to help spark your creativity and help you to think outside the box.
The designs in this month's card kit remind me so much of the beautiful state of Colorado. I am so lucky to live in an area that has stunning views whether I am looking towards the Rocky Mountains to the west or the grassy plains to the East. The card bases are amazing and I knew that I just had to cut them in half to maximize the number of cards that I could create with this kit. Today I am sharing 2 card designs that I created using one of the card bases as well as supplies from the kit. I used Copper Clay cardstock to create the card bases for my designs and heat embossed the compass image from the exclusive stamp set with Gold embossing powder to create accents for my cards. I love that these card designs work perfectly for masculine cards and I see so many wonderful possibilities with this kit.

2 Compasses stamped and fussy cut
Paper Pumpkin Exploring In Color Kit
1 Card Base cut in half along the center fold line to create 2 card fronts. Trim both card fronts to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
2 Sentiment Labels
1 Moody Mauve Label
To create my 2 alternative card designs, I cut one of the card bases from the kit in half along the fold line. I then trimmed both pieces to create 2 card fronts measuring 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". To step up the designs, I heat embossed the sentiments using Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the Gold embossed compasses. For the Adventure card, I wrapped the Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a knot on the front. I added the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it over the Linen Thread. I then added the fussy cut compass with a Stampin' Dimensional so that it slightly overlaps the top corner of the center and attached the card front to the Copper Clay card base.
For the birthday card, I tied a bow with the linen thread, similar to the instructions in the kit and attached it to the Moody Mauve label and attached it to the top of the card front. I then added the Gold embossed birthday sentiment label, slightly off setting it over the Moody Mauve label, using Stampin' Dimensionals to the center and right side of the label. I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the left side so that it lays flat on the card front. To complete the design, I added the compass to the left side of the sentiment with a Stampin' Dimensional. For both cards, I used one of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to the center of each compass to finish off the card design. I love the simplicity of these card designs and how the scenery of the backgrounds is the focus of each card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my alternative card designs will help inspire you to create your own beautiful alternative cards with the supplies in this kit. The designs in this kit work well for so many occasions and are perfect for masculine cards. Stamptastic Friends May Blog Hop For The Men

It's time to hop along with the Stamptastic Friends May Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on projects for the men. Masculine designs can be a challenge to create, so our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects.
Here in Colorado we are blessed to be close to the wonderful Rocky Mountains and the incredible wildlife that live there. One of my favorite stamp sets is the Wildlife Wonder stamp set and it is perfect for creating beautiful masculine card designs. The sentiments and images work for a variety of occasions and provide you with so many options. I paired this stamp set with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder to add a woodgrain texture to the Misty Moonlight background layer. My color palette includes Misty Moonlight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive and Very Vanilla with a hint of Gold. I love that this card design has a rustic, natural feel to it. The Deckled Rectangles Dies add a vintage feel to the layers for the focal image that tie in well with this card design.
Products Used:
Wildlife Wonder stamp set (item #157923)
Deckled Rectangles Dies (item #159173)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Timber 3D Embossing Folder (item #156406)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081)
Pecan Pie Cardstock (item #161717)
Old Olive Cardstock (item #100702)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Pecan Pie Classic Ink Pad (item #161665)
Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pad (item #153118)
Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad (item #147114)
Old Olive Classic Ink Pad (item #147090)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Sponge Daubers (item #133773)
Blender Pens (item #102845)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)

Measurements:
Pecan Pie Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Deckled Layer die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder
Small Stitched Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Old Olive Cardstock
Medium Stitched Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Focal Layer die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies
One of my favorite things about creating masculine cards is the opportunity to add texture and dimension. I love the richness of this color combination and the Timber 3D Embossing Folder adds wonderful texture to the background. To bring out the detail and add a distressed look to the design, I used Sponge Daubers to add Misty Moonlight Classic ink to the embossed Misty Moonlight card front, around the edges and over the raised embossed areas. I also sponged the Old Olive Circle with Old Olive Classic ink to give it an aged look. I stamped the bear image from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set with Early Espresso Classic ink onto the Very Vanilla cardstock layer and then used a Blender Pen to add Pecan Pie Classic ink to color in the lighter areas of the bear and blend it with the Early Espresso ink to create the coloring for the bear. To complete the image, I used Pecan Pie Classic ink to stamp the ground below the bear's feet and some plants with Old Olive Classic ink. I layered this layer onto the Pecan Pie cardstock layer to create the frame for the image. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the bottom of the Misty Moonlight layer and tied a bow towards the right side. I attached the Misty Moonlight layer to the card base and then added the focal layers with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder onto Misty Moonlight cardstock and die cut it with one of Stylish Shapes Dies. I then attached it to a slightly larger circle die cut from Old Olive cardstock and then attached it to the bottom right corner of the card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful masculine card designs for the men in your life. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore in the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

Stamping With Friends May Blog Hop 2023-2024 Annual Catalog

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends May Blog Hop as we celebrate the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and all the amazing new products inside. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get excited about the wonderful new products and colors in the new catalog.
Today I am sharing a pretty card I designed using the new Circle Sayings Bundle for a recent 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Swap. I love the images and sentiments in the stamp set and I am so excited to have a new coordinating circle punch. For the background, I used the new Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder to add some wonderful texture. This is a wonderful clean and simple birthday card design using a soft and pretty color combination of Highland Heather with the returning Fresh Freesia and Basic White.
Products Used:
Circle Sayings Bundle (item #161355)
Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder (item #161473)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Highland Heather Cardstock (item #146986)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Medium Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder
Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch
Highland Heather Cardstock
Large Stitched Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
This beautiful birthday card is simple to create and I love how the focal circles pop against the embossed background. Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia look so pretty together and I love how the layers of circles help make the embossed focal image pop. I chose to use White embossing powder for the embossing on the Fresh Freesia circle and added some Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling. The new 2 3/8" Circle Punch layers beautifully with the circle dies in the Stylish Shapes Dies set. This color combination is perfect for a soft and pretty birthday card but you could easily transform this design into a masculine card, just by changing the colors. The Circle Sayings Bundle is so versatile and a great addition to your crafting collection.

Ink. Stamp. Share. May Monthly Blog Hop Something New

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. May Monthly Blog Hop as we celebrate Something New. One of my favorite things about a new catalog, is exploring the wonderful new products and new In Colors that Stampin' Up! has to offer. Our amazing Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the new products and new colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog to create your own beautiful creations.
For my card design today, I thought I would share the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and the coordinating Bright & Beautiful 6"x6" Designer Series Paper, to create a fun birthday card. It was my first time using the bundle and I love the wonderful combination of images, sentiments and coordinating dies. I am loving all the new blues and thought I would try combining the new Azure Afternoon with the returning Blueberry Bushel with a touch of Silver to step up the design.
Products Used:
Beautiful Balloons Bundle (item #161457)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #161354)
Bright & Beautiful 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #161449)
Silver Foil Specialty Pack (item #156457)
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock (item #146968)
Azure Afternoon Cardstock (item #161719)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Azure Afternoon Classic Ink Pad (item #161663)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels (item #158130)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
1 Small Balloon die cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies
2 Small Stars die cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies
1 Large Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Azure Afternoon Cardstock
1 Medium Balloon die cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies
Silver Foil Specialty
1 Small Balloon die cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies
1 Tassel die cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Large Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch
Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This fun birthday card design showcases how well these beautiful blues work together. You may notice that in the background of the card front, there is an ombre effect with the stars pattern, using Azure Afternoon and Blueberry Bushel, that helps to tie it all together. I die cut one of the small balloons and the balloon tassel from Silver Foil to step up the design. I also die cut one of the small balloons and two of the small stars from Blueberry Bushel cardstock to add some contrast. To create the focal design, I stamped the large balloon image from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set onto the Basic White circle using Azure Afternoon Classic ink. I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder over the top the stamped image and also heat embossed the background stars balloon image onto the Azure Afternoon Balloon die cut, to coordinate. The Stylish Shapes Dies work well with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch and I added a slightly larger circle to create a frame around the focal image. I attached the focal circle to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added the other elements to create the final design. For a touch of sparkle, I added several Iridescent Rhinestones to the card front. This would work well as a masculine birthday card or you could change the sentiment for a Graduation card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore the wonderful new products and new colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. There are so many possibilities to help spark your creativity.

New At SU May Blog Hop New In Colors With Core Colors

Welcome to the New At SU May Blog Hop as we explore the amazing new colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. We will be focusing on the beautiful new 2023-2025 In Colors and how they look with the wonderful Color Collections Stampin' Up! has to offer. You may notice some new colors as well as some returning favorites that have been added during the recent Color Refresh. Our talented Design Team members will be sharing their ideas and projects to help spark your creativity and inspire you to explore these wonderful new colors.
My favorite color is blue, so I had to choose the beautiful Boho Blue from the 2023-2025 In Colors to showcase with my card design. I chose to use the Zany Zoo Bundle to create a sweet celebration card that would work well as a birthday card or even as a Graduation card. I paired Boho Blue with Misty Moonlight and Lemon Lime Twist, two returning colors, and Lemon Lolly, a new color that has been added to our color collections. For the raccoon, I used a combination of Smoky Slate with Pebbled Path, another of the new 2023-2025 In Colors.
Products Used:
Zany Zoo Bundle (item #161315)
Countryside Corners Dies (item #161471)
2023-2025 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #161646)
Boho Blue Cardstock (item #161724)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Boho Blue Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161659)
Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161658)
Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #159221)
Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161673)
Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161682)
Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154904)
Ribbon Duo combo Pack (item #161318)
Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels (item #158987)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Medium Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Boho Blue Cardstock
Small Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Raccoon with Balloons image stamped and die cut with the Zany Zoo Bundle
Boho Blue Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This fun clean and simple card design shows how beautifully Boho Blue plays with other Stampin' Up! colors. I love how it looks with Misty Moonlight to create a frame around the designer series card front and the focal layers. The pops of color from the balloons helps bring the card design to life. The striped Boho Blue card front creates a wonderful background for this design and I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create the layers for the focal image and the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder onto the Misty Moonlight sentiment label to coordinate with the background. To create the raccoon image, I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored it with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. The Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends are a wonderful alternative to using Basic Black and work well with Smoky Slate to color the raccoon. For embellishments, I used a piece of Lemon Lime Twist 1/8" Ribbon around the card front, beneath the sentiment label and I colored several Iridescent Pearls with the Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Marker to add a touch of bling. Boho Blue is a beautiful medium blue and is fast becoming a favorite new In Color. I hope you will give it a try with your new projects.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore the wonderful new In Colors and new Core colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. There are so many color combinations to experiment with using Stampin' Up!'s amazing range of coordinating products.
