Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights December 2023

Is anyone else wondering where the year has gone? It's hard to believe it's December already and we are having our last International Blog Highlights for 2023. I am excited to see all the amazing projects and ideas that my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will be sharing today with the theme "Thank You". There are so many different things in our life to be thankful for and sending a handmade card is just one small way we can show our appreciation to the people we care about.
Here in Colorado the weather is getting chilly and we have already had snow several times over the past month. So I thought I would use this as my inspiration for my Thank You card today. I chose to use one of the designs from the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper, which is retiring soon, and combined it with the Season of Chic stamp set and coordinating Chic Dies. I love combining silver and blue to create Winter themed cards, so this was the perfect excuse to play with this combination and come up with this beautiful design. I chose Balmy Blue from the designer series paper and used the new Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper (available in the Online Exclusives) to create sparkly snowflakes that coordinate with the Silver embossing for the sentiment and the Silver Trim that I used to tie a bow on the White Iridescent Ribbon.
Products Used:
Season of Chic stamp set (item #158810)
Chic Dies (item #158815)
Tailor Made Tags Dies (item #155563)
A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper (item #162377) - Retiring
Silver & Gold Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper (item #162288)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Balmy Blue Classic Ink Pad (item #147105)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins (item #162029) - Retiring
White 1/2" Iridescent Ribbon (item #161955)
Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim (item #161633)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Tag die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies
Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper
2 Large and 2 Medium Snowflakes die cut with the Chic Dies
This pretty Thank You card captures the feel of a snowy Winter with the sparkly snowflake die cuts and the frosty look of Balmy Blue for the card front and background for the embossed sentiment. To create the sentiment tag, I stamped the swoosh background image with Balmy Blue Classic ink once in the center of the tag at full strength and then I did second generation stamping to stamp the same image above and below to create an almost ombre look. I then heat embossed the Thanks sentiment using Silver embossing powder over the darkest area so that it would really pop. I added a piece of White Iridescent Ribbon to the tag through the hole and then tied a piece of Silver trim around it to create a bow. To assemble the card, I attached the designer series paper card front to the card base and then added the Silver Glimmer snowflakes to card front. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I added the sentiment tag to the center of the card front, positioning it over parts of the snowflakes. To finish off the design, I added some of the White Adhesive Backed Sequins for a little more sparkle.

Stamping With Friends November Blog Hop Anything Christmas

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends November Blog Hop as we celebrate Anything Christmas. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get in the spirit of the season to create your own beautiful cards and projects to share with family and friends.
Gift cards are a wonderful idea for the holidays but it can be a bit boring to just put them in an envelope with a normal card. That's why I love creating fun and festive gift card holders for the holidays and today I have another cute design to help spark your creativity. You may remember this card that I created here using the Beary Christmas Suite and I wanted to create another version of this type of gift card holder using the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper to show how versatile this design can be. This beautiful designer series paper is part of Stampin' Up!'s Craft For A Cause and for every pack of A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper that is sold, $3 will be donated to the Marines Toys For Tots Charity.

Christmas Tree fussy cut
Bear punched out with Beary Cute Punch
I feel like I have become a bit addicted to creating these gift card holders. I love how easy it is to transform the base into a variety of designs to help make each one special. For this gift card holder, I used one of the A Walk In The Forest designs for the card front and fussy cut out the tree and punched out the bear with the Beary Cute Punch from a different sheet to create the focal image. I also added some snowbanks along the bottom of the card front to help ground the tree and the bear. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the snow to give it a little sparkle and also to the tree. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder onto the Pretty Peacock label and added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. To decorate the tree, I added some Festive Pearls to give the appearance of ornaments. To create the basic gift card holder, I used the 2 3/8" Circle Punch to create the opening on the end of the card base that holds the gift card. I used Tear & Tape to create the pocket. I added the front panel to the front section of the base, making sure to not add adhesive beyond the half way point. For the inside of the card, I stamped the bear with Pecan Pie Classic ink onto the Basic White insert and then attached it to the Pretty Peacock layer before adding it inside the card. I just love how this cut gift card holder turned out. I think it would be perfect for a masculine card as well.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my gift card holder will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects to send to family and friends for the holidays. There are so many wonderful options to explore in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. Around The World On Wednesday September Blog Hop Let's Take A Walk

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday September Blog Hop and this month our theme is "Let's Take A Walk". Here in Colorado, the weather is getting cooler and there is a definite feeling of Fall in the air. It's the perfect weather for taking a walk and enjoying the beautiful world around us. The leaves are slowly starting to change colors and my neighbors are already decorating their homes for the new season.
One of our family's favorite places to visit is the Rocky Mountain National Park, which is about an hour's drive from our home. It's a great place to hike and explore, no matter the season. For my card design, I chose to use one of the designs from the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper for the background, to look like the forests in the national park. I fussy cut one of the sweet brown bears from another sheet in this paper pack to represent the animals that live there. This clean and simple birthday card works well as a masculine design and is easy to assemble.
Products Used:
Very Best Occasions stamp set (item #159871)
A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper (item #162377)
Double Oval Punch (item #154242)
Garden Green Cardstock (item #102584)
Pretty Peacock Cardstock (item #150880)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Brushed Metallic Dots (item #156506)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Garden Green Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Scalloped Oval punched with the Double Oval Punch
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5" x 3 3/4"
Sentiment Oval punched with the Double Oval Punch
A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Bear fussy cut with Paper Snips
For this nature themed birthday card, I chose to use two of the greens featured in the designer series paper - Garden Green and Pretty Peacock. I love how they look together and they create a wonderful frame for the designer series paper layer. I heat embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder onto the Pretty Peacock sentiment oval and layered it onto the scalloped Garden Green oval to frame it. I wound a piece of Linen Thread twice around the card front and tied a knot at the front. I layered the sentiment ovals over the top and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front. I added the bear to the bottom right corner with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop him up and add dimension to the card design. To finish off the card, I added two of the Copper Brushed Metallic Dots to the sentiment oval to step up the design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you take a walk and see how it inspires you to get creative. With the changing of the seasons, it's the perfect time to get out and experience the world around you. This year, Stampin' Up! is donating $3 from every pack of  A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper sold to support organizations to spread cheer and provide support to those in need. In the U.S. the charity is the Marines Toys For Tots. It's a wonderful way to help make a difference through creativity.

New Catalog Blog Hop September-December 2023 Mini Catalog

It's time to explore the new September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (often called the "Holiday Catalog"). This catalog is full of amazing new products and our Design Team can't wait to share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.
One of my favorite new bundles in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog is the Beary Cute Bundle. I love that the Beary Cute Punch coordinates with two of the designer series paper packs in this catalog - Beary Christmas and A Walk In The Forest, and both packs have bear images that can be punched out with this cute punch. For my card design today, I decided to create a masculine birthday card with the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper to show that the products in this catalog can be used for so much more than the holidays.
Products Used:
Beary Cute Bundle (item #162023)
Deckled Circles Dies (item #162286)
Tailor Made Tags Dies (item #155563)
A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper (item #162377)
Pretty Peacock Cardstock (item #150880)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Brushed Metallic Dots (item #156506)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies
Sentiment Tag die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies
A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Background Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies
Bear punched out with the Beary Cute Punch
Tree fussy cut with Paper Snips
For this fun birthday card, I chose to punch out one of the brown bears from one of the sheets from the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper and also fussy cut out one of the Pretty Peacock pine trees and a circle background using the Deckled Circles Dies. I layered the background circle onto a slightly larger Pretty Peacock circle also die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies. To create the scene, I attached the pine tree to the background circle with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added the brown bear so that it overlapped the pine tree. For the card front, I chose a coordinating design from one of the other sheets in the paper pack and adhered it to the Pretty Peacock card base. I attached the Pretty Peacock circle to the card front, centering it slightly towards the top. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Beary Cute stamp set with White embossing powder onto a Pretty Peacock cardstock tag die cut using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I attached it to the card front below the focal circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added a double bow tied with Linen Thread and several Brushed Metallic Dots to the pine tree.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to get creative with the wonderful new products in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. As part of Stampin' Up!'s Making A Difference, for every pack of A Walk In the Forest Designer Series Paper (item #162377) sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $3 to a variety of charities throughout their global community, including the Marine Toys For Tots in the United States.
