Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 3 - Old Olive

Welcome to Week 3 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge as we showcase Old Olive from the Regals Collection. This classic mid green is so versatile and I decided to create a masculine birthday card to create a fun clean and simple design.
This month I have been exploring different ways to create clean and simple card designs using heat embossing, one of my favorite techniques. For this design, I chose to heat emboss the sentiment images to create a contrast between the large bold image and the smaller sentiment. The designer series paper background adds wonderful texture and detail that works well for a masculine design.
Products Used:
Day To Celebrate stamp set (item #164963)
Sale-a-bration Level 1 Reward
Saying Hey stamp set (item #163697)
Nested Essentials Dies (item #161597)
Regals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item $163774)
Old Olive Cardstock (item #100702)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165679)
Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix (item #164618)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Old Olive Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies
Old Olive Striped Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This fun card design is a wonderful combination of stamps, paper and ink and I stepped up the design by using heat embossing for the sentiments. I love how the White embossing powder pops against the Old Olive cardstock and draws your attention. The smaller Happy Birthday sentiment was heat embossed using Clear embossing powder which gives a wonderful tone on tone look and a wonderful contrast. For the background design, I stamped the streamers image with Versamark ink to create a third variation for the sentiment label. To complete the card design, I added several of the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix sequins for a touch of bling without it being over the top.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore creating your own clean and simple cards using Old Olive. There are a variety of options available to help spark your creativity to create projects for all occasions.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 1 - Daffodil Delight

Welcome to a new year of Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and we are starting with Daffodil Delight to showcase for Week 1. What better way to start 2025 than exploring new ways to use Stampin' Up!'s beautiful colors to create your own wonderful projects.
With Winter settling in here in Colorado, I felt like I needed to create a card to remind us of warm Spring days that are just a few months away to help chase away the Winter blues. Daffodil Delight is such a pretty, cheerful yellow and I think it is a perfect color to bring some sunshine into our lives. One of my favorite products for creating beautiful clean and simple cards would have to be the Paper Butterfly Accents and I used one of the butterfly die cuts for my focal image for my design. I added soft color using a Blending Brush to customize it to coordinate with the designer series paper background. Which reminds me, the background strips feature a Sneak Peek of a new product from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog. If you love soft, pretty paper designs in pastel colors, you will love the new Beautiful Bokeh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper from the new Beautiful Bokeh Suite Collection. This pretty paper will be available to order starting January 7th, 2025.
Products Used:
Something Fancy stamp set (item #160416)
Something Fancy Dies (item #160424)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder (item #163414)
Beautiful Bokeh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #164607)*
Paper Butterfly Accents (item #162612)
Daffodil Delight Cardstock (item #119883)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pad (item # 147094)
Glossy Dots Assortment (item #158827)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Blending Brushes (item #153611)
Measurements:
Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder
Large Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper
3 Strips - 1" x 4 1/4"
Birthday cards are one of my favorite all occasion cards to create and I couldn't resist to creating a pretty Spring birthday design using Daffodil Delight. When I think of Spring, I think of butterflies so it was an easy choice to use the Paper Butterfly Accents for my focal design. Using a Blending Brush, I gently applied Daffodil Delight Classic ink to the butterfly die cut to build up soft color. I attached the butterfly die cut to the center of the large circle die cut to give it stability. I added some texture to the background using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and created a fun background with strips of the new Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Something Fancy stamp set with Daffodil Delight Classic ink onto the sentiment label die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies. I attached both the sentiment label and the focal circle to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up and add dimension to the design. To complete the card design, I added several Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots for a touch of bling. I love how well this card design showcases the versatility of Daffodil Delight with a variety of products.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to get creative for the New Year and explore the beautiful options that Daffodil Delight has to offer. With the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and 2025 Sale-a-bration set to launch on January 7th, 2025, there will be wonderful new products to explore to help spark your creativity.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 31 - Pretty Peacock

Happy Friday everyone. It's time for Week 31 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and this week we are showcasing Pretty Peacock from the Regals Collection. I love this gorgeous blue-green color and how versatile it is. I hope you enjoy the card design I created this week.
For today's card design, I wanted to play with the new Sketched Butterflies Bundle from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I love butterflies and I was so excited when I saw the detailed images and beautiful sentiments in this bundle. I chose to create a clean and simple birthday card using one of the patterns from the Regals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for my background. I love the texture and detail it adds to the card design and how it gives the impression that the butterfly is flying through a forest. The Countryside Corners Dies help add a frame around the focal image that really makes the butterfly pop. I love how this card design turned out and with the wide range of sentiments and images in this bundle, you could create a variety of card designs for all occasions.
Products Used:
Sketched Butterflies Bundle (item #163492)
Countryside Corners Dies (item #161471)
Regals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #163774)
Pretty Peacock Cardstock (item #150880)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Pretty Peacock Classic Ink Pad (item #150083)
Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Focal Layer die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Medium Butterfly stamped and die cut with the Sketched Butterflies Bundle
Pretty Peacock Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This beautiful clean and simple card design is easy to create with just a few supplies. I love how the Countryside Corner Dies help create a frame around the focal image and sentiment and help them pop against the designer series paper card front. I stamped the butterfly with Pretty Peacock Classic ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then die cut it out with the coordinating die. I also stamped the sentiment with Pretty Peacock Classic ink onto the focal layer towards the bottom. I attached the butterfly die cut with a Stampin' Dimensional towards the top of the focal layer and added several Pretty Peacock gems to decorate the body of the butterfly. I attached the focal layer to the larger Pretty Peacock die cut layer. To complete the card design, I attached the designer series paper card front to the Pretty Peacock card base and then centered the focal image onto the card front. As you can see, it comes together very quickly and easily to create a simply beautiful design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that this card design will encourage you to explore using Pretty Peacock to create your own beautiful projects. This pretty color is so versatile and would work well for so many occasions.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 17 - Granny Apple Green

It's Week 17 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Challenge and this week we are showcasing the beautiful Granny Apple Green from the Brights Collection. I love this fresh, pretty green and I am excited to share with you the card design I came up with to show the versatility of this wonderful color.
For this week's card design, I wanted to create an organic design using the retiring Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper for my background. I just love this soft tone on tone pattern that helps to add texture to the card design without being overwhelming. I also chose to use one of my favorite bundles from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, Notes of Nature, which sadly is also retiring. I chose to add some Gold embossing to add a classic elegance to the card and the Gold Sequins add the perfect finishing touch.
Products Used:
Notes Of Nature Bundle (item #162640) - Retiring
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #160839) - Retiring
Granny Apple Green Cardstock (item #146990)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Granny Apple Green Classic Ink Pad (item #147095)
Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154885)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555) - Retiring
Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins (item #161627)
Blending Brushes (item #153611)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
4 Detailed Foliage sprigs die cut with the Notes of Nature Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Medium Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
2 stamped and die cut leaves with the Notes of Nature Bundle
Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front die cut with the Notes of Nature Dies
I love the texture and detail in this pretty card design. The leaf design in the layer of vellum adds wonderful texture to the background of the design. I die cut the left side of the vellum layer using one of the Notes of Nature Dies to give the look of a notebook page. To help make the leaf pattern pop, I used a blending brush to add Granny Apple Green Classic ink to the reverse side of the vellum to add a layer of soft color which helps bring out the detail when I layered it on top of the Granny Apple Green card base. For the focal image, I die cut a medium circle from Basic White cardstock using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I heat embossed the detailed lines image from the Notes of Nature stamp set using Gold embossing powder and then stamped the dottage background image using Granny Apple Green Classic ink onto the background, stamping off once each time, to add some soft texture. Using a blending brush, I gently added some Granny Apple Green Classic ink to the die cut circle to add a soft layer of color. I stamped and die cut two of the leaves images and colored them with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers to bring them to life. I also die cut several detailed leaf sprigs to add behind the circle to add texture and details against the vellum background. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image onto a Basic White banner I die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. To finish off the card design, I added several Gold Sequins to coordinate with the Gold embossing.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to mix and match different products to help you create your own beautiful projects. Stamping Inkspirations April Blog Hop Fun Fold Time

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations April Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to create a fun fold but the twist is that it has to be one we have not tried before. It's a great way to have us step outside our comfort zone and share with you some fun projects to help inspire you.
My inspiration for my fun fold design today came from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Brenda Quintana, with a version of a Bridge card design that I had not tried before. You can see here video here for more details. I tweaked the placement of the "bridge" layer on my card to fit with the design I had in mind. I chose to use the Lighter Than Air 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for my design and used the coordinating Hot Air Balloon to create the focal images and accents. I wanted to create a fun, cheerful birthday card that would help brighten someone's day. With these pretty pastel colors, I think I managed to achieve that. What do you think?
Products Used:
Hot Air Balloon Bundle (item #162755)
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (item #154317)
Lighter Than Air 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #162747)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Azure Afternoon Cardstock (item #161719)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (item #146987)
Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink Pad (item #147099)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 4 1/4" x 11" Scored at 5 1/2"
- cut at 9 1/2" & 7" (Thin section is for the end panel, larger section for the middle panel)
Azure Afternoon Cardstock
Card Front - 4" x 2 1/4" embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
Basic White Cardstock
Inside Panel - 4 1/4" x 2 3/8"
5 Clouds die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
1 Small Banner die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
1 Large Banner die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
Basket die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Detailed Banner die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
Detailed Basket framework die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies
Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper
2 Side Panels - 1 1/4" x 4" (Striped)
Inside Panel - 5 1/4" x 4" (Blue Background)
Balloon die cut with the Hot Air Balloon Dies (Fresh Freesia Design)
I love creating clean and simple card designs and this applies to fun fold cards as well. As soon as I saw this layout, I knew I had to try it. I love that all the main pieces for the card come from one 4 1/4" x 11" card base and with just 2 cuts and a score line, you have the basics for your fun fold. The fun part is decorating and I felt like the Hot Air Balloon Bundle would be perfect with the coordinating Lighter Than Air 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for creating my card. I chose to place my bridge layer closer to the bottom of the card front to allow room for the balloon die cut to fit in and also to add some clouds in the background. I used the Hot Air Balloon Dies to cut out all the different pieces, including the sentiment banners. I love the contrast between the striped pattern for the side panels and the Azure Afternoon background design. It made me think of rainbows and a blue sky and I thought it was perfect for the idea of a hot air balloon floating through by. For the focal layer, I embossed the Azure Afternoon cardstock with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture to the card. I love the contrast with all the pretty colors and the Basic White card base helps make them pop. I used Gorgeous Grape Classic ink to stamp the sentiments for both the front and inside panels.  This was such a fun card to create and I can see myself making more of these Bridge Fun Fold cards in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my fun fold card will help inspire you to explore creating your own beautiful cards and step outside your comfort zone. There are so many options to explore to help spark your creativity.
