Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights December 2023

Is anyone else wondering where the year has gone? It's hard to believe it's December already and we are having our last International Blog Highlights for 2023. I am excited to see all the amazing projects and ideas that my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will be sharing today with the theme "Thank You". There are so many different things in our life to be thankful for and sending a handmade card is just one small way we can show our appreciation to the people we care about.
Here in Colorado the weather is getting chilly and we have already had snow several times over the past month. So I thought I would use this as my inspiration for my Thank You card today. I chose to use one of the designs from the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper, which is retiring soon, and combined it with the Season of Chic stamp set and coordinating Chic Dies. I love combining silver and blue to create Winter themed cards, so this was the perfect excuse to play with this combination and come up with this beautiful design. I chose Balmy Blue from the designer series paper and used the new Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper (available in the Online Exclusives) to create sparkly snowflakes that coordinate with the Silver embossing for the sentiment and the Silver Trim that I used to tie a bow on the White Iridescent Ribbon.
Products Used:

Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins (item #162029) - Retiring
White 1/2" Iridescent Ribbon (item #161955)
Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim (item #161633)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Tag die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies
Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper
2 Large and 2 Medium Snowflakes die cut with the Chic Dies
This pretty Thank You card captures the feel of a snowy Winter with the sparkly snowflake die cuts and the frosty look of Balmy Blue for the card front and background for the embossed sentiment. To create the sentiment tag, I stamped the swoosh background image with Balmy Blue Classic ink once in the center of the tag at full strength and then I did second generation stamping to stamp the same image above and below to create an almost ombre look. I then heat embossed the Thanks sentiment using Silver embossing powder over the darkest area so that it would really pop. I added a piece of White Iridescent Ribbon to the tag through the hole and then tied a piece of Silver trim around it to create a bow. To assemble the card, I attached the designer series paper card front to the card base and then added the Silver Glimmer snowflakes to card front. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I added the sentiment tag to the center of the card front, positioning it over parts of the snowflakes. To finish off the design, I added some of the White Adhesive Backed Sequins for a little more sparkle.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to get create and make your own beautiful Thank You cards to send out to family and friends. Global Stamping Friends September Blog Hop The Holidays Are Coming

It's the 1st of September and I am wondering if anyone else is beginning to think about the holidays? When I think of Fall, I know that the holidays are just around the corner and I get excited about creating fun projects to celebrate with family and friends. Whether you celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah or any of the other wonderful occasions happening in the next few months, there is something for everyone. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity and hopefully get you in the holiday spirit.
I love Christmas and making Christmas cards and there are so many wonderful options to explore. For my card design today, I thought I would share a pretty clean and simple Christmas card design I created using products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I wanted to show how you can create a beautiful card design with just a few supplies. My favorite color is Orchid Oasis and I thought it would be perfect for creating a Winter themed design using the Season of Chic stamp set to create the background and the Very Best Occasions stamp set for the sentiment. The beauty of this card design is that you could recreate it using any color and create a set of beautiful Christmas cards to send to family and friends.
Products Used:
Season of Chic stamp set (item #158810)
Very Best Occasions stamp set (item #159871)
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #161354)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Orchid Oasis Cardstock (item #159267)
Orchid Oasis Classic Ink Pad (item #159214)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon (item #159199)
2022-2024 In Color Pearls (item #161621)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Orchid Oasis Cardstock
Layer 1 - 3 3/4' x5"
Sentiment Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
This pretty Christmas card focuses mainly on stamping to create the design. I used the snowflake image from the Season of Chic stamp set and stamped it with Orchid Oasis Classic ink several times without reinking to create the layers of color for the snowflakes on the card front layer. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Very Best Occasions stamp set with White embossing powder onto an Orchid Oasis circle that I punched out using the 2 3/8" Circle Punch. To assemble the card, I attached a piece of the Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon around the center of the card front and added the sentiment circle over the top using Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the card front to the Orchid Oasis cardstock layer and then attached it to the Thick Basic White card base. I tied a small bow with the Orchid Oasis ribbon and attached it to the left side of the sentiment circle with a Mini Glue Dot so that it sits on top of the ribbon around the card front. To add a touch of sparkle, I added several Orchid Oasis Pearls from the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls to finish off the design. As you can see, it's very simple to create this card and is a great design to mass produce to send out to family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help you get excited about the holidays and start thinking about your own beautiful projects. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.
