Around The World On Wednesday September Blog Hop It's A Wonderful Day In The Neighborhood

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday September Blog Hop as we explore our favorite places in the world around us. Whether it is a special place in our local neighborhood or a favorite place we have visited, we will be sharing projects and ideas to reflect our connections with these locations.
It's so hard to pick just one favorite from all the places I have visited, so in the end I decided to focus on one of my favorite places in the state of Colorado - the Rocky Mountains. There is something so peaceful and soothing about the mountains, no matter the season. For my card design, I created the look of the mountains as they are now, getting ready to change from Summer to Fall. For my design, I chose to use Mountain Air and Grassy Grove stamp sets and I added some texture with the new Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Do you love the leaf label? It is a new product in the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and is perfect for the changing seasons. This card design would work well for a variety of occasions and would make a beautiful masculine card design.
Products Used:
Grassy Grove stamp set (item #157836)
Mountain Air stamp set (item #151610)
Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder (item #159847)
Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #144237)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Crumb Cake Cardstock (item #120953)
Evening Evergreen Classic Ink Pad (item #155576)
Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad (item #147111)
Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad (item #147115)
Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad (item #147116)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack (item #159969)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
This beautiful scenic card design was created by layering stamp images from the Mountain Air stamp set for the mountains and the Grassy Grove stamp set for the trees and foreground foliage. The combination of greens and browns add depth and dimension to the design to create a late Summer/ early Fall landscape that reminds me of the Rocky Mountains. For the sentiment, I used one of the Leaf Labels and heat embossed the sentiment with Copper embossing powder. I also used several of the amber gems to embellish it and add a warm glow to the card design. The background layer was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder after stamping to add texture to the card. The Linen Thread on the left side of the card front completes the design and adds a rustic feel to it.

Inspire. Create. Share. September Blog Hop My Favorite Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the Inspire. Create. Share. September Blog Hop as we showcase our favorite designer series paper, currently available in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. We will sharing projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the many wonderful designs available.
There are so many wonderful designer series paper designs to choose from, which makes it difficult to pick just one as a favorite. For today's card design, I chose to use one of my new favorites from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, which is perfect as we transition into Fall. The beautiful designs and warm colors provide wonderful backgrounds and focal designs for projects and I have chosen one of the designs that is perfect for creating clean and simple cards.
Products Used:
Peaceful Moments stamp set (item #151595)
Painted Labels Dies (item #151605)
Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (item #159633)
Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item #133676)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots (item #156506)
Glitter Washi Tape (item #159973)
Measurements:
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Painted Labels Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Strip approx. 1/2" x 3" covered with 2 strips of Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape & die cut with the Painted Labels Dies
This beautiful Fall card focuses on the wonderful floral design of the designer series paper as the background and focal image for the design. I chose to use Mossy Meadow cardstock for the card base and coordinating sentiment label. The sentiment image has been heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and I chose to use several of the small Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots in each of the corners to embellish the label. For a touch of sparkle and color, I die cut a detailed border using the Painted Labels Dies. To create this border, I layered two pieces of the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape side by side on a strip of Basic White cardstock and then die cut it to create the detailed edge. I thought the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Washi Tape coordinated beautifully with one of the flowers in the background to finish off the design. This card layout can be used for a variety of occasions and I love the wonderful sentiments in the Peaceful Moments stamp set that work well with this pretty paper. The Peaceful Moments stamp set is just one of the stamp sets that will be on sale September 15th as part of the 24 Hour Stamp Sale.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects with your favorite designer series paper. There are so many wonderful designs to choose from, suitable for a variety of occasion throughout the year.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities August Blog Hop Sweet Sunflowers

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities August Blog Hop as we showcase alternative projects created with the beautiful Sweet Sunflowers Kit. Our talented Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you think outside of the box to create your own wonderful projects.
This beautiful kit is hands down, one of my favorites and if you were lucky enough to get one of these kits, I am sure you would agree. For my alternative card design, I chose to use the exclusive stamp set to show how can continue to create beautiful projects, long after you have used up the other supplies in your kit. For the color combination, I chose to use the Crushed Curry and Soft Suede ink spots that were included in the kit and added Mossy Meadow and Old Olive Classic ink pads for the leaves to complete the design. This beautiful card is a wonderful way to transition from Summer to Fall and would work well for a variety of occasions.
Products Used:
Paper Pumpkin September 2022 Sweet Sunflowers Kit
Tailor Made Tags Dies (item #155563)
Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item #133676)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad (item #147111)
Old Olive Classic Ink Pad (item #147090)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Simply Elegant Trim (item #155766)
Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels (item #158130)
Measurements:
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple card design is all about the beautiful stamp images. I was able to get the detail from the line images and I used the reverse side of the sunflower and the leaf to create the color of the background. I stamped both of the sunflowers with Crushed Curry Classic ink, in opposite corners, by first stamping once and the reinking and stamping again by rotating the stamp image approx 90 degrees. I then stamped the center of the sunflower using Soft Suede ink in the centers of the flowers. Next, I cleaned and flipped the sunflower stamp so that the back side was facing up. I inked it up with Crushed Curry Classic ink and stamped off once on a scrap piece of paper before lining it up and stamping over the sunflower stamped images. This creates that beautiful soft yellow background that gives the petals their wonderful color. For the leaves, I stamped the leaf image with Mossy Meadow Classic ink and then cleaned the stamp and flipped it over. I inked the back side of the stamp with Old Olive Classic ink and once again stamped off once on a scrap piece of paper before stamping over the leaves on the card front. I added the foliage image with Mossy Meadow Classic ink and the bees with Soft Suede Classic ink to complete the background design.
For the sentiment label, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder. I wrapped a piece of the Gold Elegant Trim around the center of the card front twice and tied a simple bow towards the left side. I added Stampin' Dimensionals (from the kit) to the back of the sentiment label and then fed the bow and the ends of the trim through the hole on the tag so that they appear on the front. I attached the tag to the front of the card over the trim. To complete the design, I added several Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels for a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful alternative projects with this kit. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Ink. Stamp. Share June Special Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the Ink. Stamp. Share June Special Blog Hop as we share projects and ideas to help inspire you. Our theme for this hop is Anything Goes, so you will get to see a wide range of project ideas as you visit the blogs of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world.
Today I am sharing a clean and simple Thank You card created with the new Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle (item #154065). Instead of coloring the flower image to look like a sunflower, I chose a different color combination to create the look of a Gerbera Daisy. I stamped the image from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede Classic ink. I colored the image using the So Saffron combo, Granny Apple Green combo and Flirty Flamingo combo of Stampin' Blends Markers. I die cut the image using the coordinating Sunflowers Dies.
For the card base, I chose Granny Apple Green cardstock and I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed using the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (item #152718) to add subtle texture to the background. I die cut a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock using the label dies from the Hippo & Friends Dies (item #153585) and a slightly smaller die cut from Whisper White cardstock using the same dies. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto the Whisper White label, towards the center.
The ribbon embellishment was created by coloring a piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144146) with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Marker and folded it in half, securing it in place with a Mini Glue Dot. I attached it to the back of the Granny Apple Green label die cut with another Mini Glue Dot, towards the bottom right side.
To assemble the card, I attached the embossed Whisper White cardstock layer to the card base and then added the sentiment label to the center of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the die cut flower to the top left corner of the label with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that the flower overlapped the top of the label. For a touch of shimmer, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the flower and leaves, to finish off the design. I love how this flower image was transformed from a sunflower to a daisy by using a different color combination. It opens up so many wonderful possibilities for this bundle.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will encourage you to explore the wonderful new products in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. There is such a wide variety to choose from to help you create projects for all occasions.

PPP December Blog Hop Something For Everything

It's time to hop along with the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities (aka PPP) Blog Hop as we share fun alternative projects showcasing the December Paper Pumpkin kit. It has been fun to switch from the holidays to a great all occasion card kit to get a head start on cards for the New Year.
Today I have two card designs to share with you featuring stamp sets from the new 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog. The Gangs All Meer (item #152294) is a cute stamp set that you can earn with a qualifying US$50 order during Sale-a-bration and the Little Ladybug stamp set (item #152384) is a special reward that Hosts can earn with a qualifying party during Sale-a-bration.
This first card featues the Crushed Curry polka dotted card base from the Paper Pumpkin kit and I added the focal image that I stamped on to an oval of Whisper White cardstock that I die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies (item #141706) with Early Espresso Classic ink. To color the cute meerkats, I used an Aquapainter and gently colored it with the ink from the image. For the ground, I used a little Old Olive Classic ink from the lid of the ink pad and colored it with the Aquapainter. I layered this oval onto a scalloped oval that I die cut from Crushed Curry cardstock using one of the scalloped oval dies from the same die set.
I attached the oval image to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals from the kit and added two of the small flower stickers to decorate the oval. I cut two of the leaves in half and added them to either side of the flowers and then added a rhinestone from the kit to the center of each flower. For the sentiment, I stamped "You're The Best" image from the exclusive stamp set in the kit using Old Olive Classic ink and attached it to the card front below the oval image with Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the second card, I chose to use the striped card base and added the Old Olive polka dot circle sticker to the card base. I added one of the floral stickers to the circle and cut one of the gold leaf stickers in half and attached to either side of the flower, tucking the ends underneath the flower. For the ladybug, I stamped the image from the Little Ladybug stamp set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Real Red, So Saffron and Basic Black Stampin' Blends Markers. I fussy cut the image out and attached it to the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped using the "Thank You" image from the stamp set in the kit with Old Olive Classic ink and attached to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. To embellish the sentiment, I added one of the smaller flowers with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional and decorated it with one of the Rhinestones from the kit.
Don't you just love how the stamped images transformed these cards into whimsical designs that will be sure to brighten someone's day.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope my alternate card designs help inspire you to mix and match the supplies in your kit with stamp sets in the New Sale-a-bration Catalog.
