Silver To Silver Elite August Blog Hop July-December 2021 Mini Catalog & Sale-a-bration

Welcome to the Silver To Silver Elite August Blog Hop as we showcase products from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and the 2021 Summer Sale-a-bration Catalog. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
Now that Fall is almost here, I thought it would be fun to showcase the Cute Halloween Suite in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I love how all the products in this suite coordinate to make creating projects so much easier. For this simple fun fold design, I chose the Cutest Halloween Bundle and combined it with the Cute Halloween 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. As you can see from the card design, I was able to showcase both sides of one of the designer series paper sheets from this paper pack. In addition, I used the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon and the Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins to embellish my card to step up the design.

Ghost image stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched out with the Halloween Punch
Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper
Front Panel - 5 1/4" x 2 3/4"
Inside Panel Strip - 5 1/4" x 1 1/4"
This cute fun fold card design is a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween. It is easy to assemble and with a couple of simple tricks, you can step it up for a Simply Wow card. First tip is to cut a regular size card front of 5 1/4" x 4" from the designer series paper sheet. Cut a 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip off of the right side of the card front to create two separate pieces, with the larger being 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" for the front panel. The second tip is to take a piece of the Black & White Gingham Ribbon, approx 18 inches long, and color it with the Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Marker so that it coordinates with the designer series paper. Wrap the ribbon around the middle of the card base and do a test bow to determine the positioning of the ribbon. Once you have the ribbon evenly positioned, attach the bright ghost pattern to the front panel of the card over the top of the ribbon.
Next step is to stamp the sentiment and spider images onto the Basic White inside panel and attach the strip of designer series paper to the right side with the Black & White print facing up (by flipping the strip to the reverse of the ghost design). Untie the ribbon and attach this panel inside the card base so that when the card is closed, only the Black & White designer series paper is showing. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder towards the top of the label and add the ghost image towards the bottom right side of the label. Attach the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals so that it is flush with the edge and centered over the ribbon. To complete the card design, I added several of the Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins to decorate the sentiment label and then retied the ribbon into a bow. Trim the ends so that the tails are long enough that it is easy to retie after opening up the card. This is such a fun Halloween design and a perfect way to help brighten someone's day.

Stamping Inkspirations August Blog Hop Reading Is Fonts-amental

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations August Blog Hop as we explore the theme, "Reading is Fonts-amental". We are being challenged to show how fonts can make a difference to a project and also to incorporate mixed media as a way to texture and character.
For my card design today, I chose to use the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set to create a collage style background with Fall colors. I also embossed the background with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder which has text as part of the design. I love the way it adds texture to the background. I highlighted some of the areas by heat embossing Gold embossing Powder to some of the raised areas, including the embossed words. The gold adds a vintage feeling to the design. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set onto the Early Espresso label punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch.
Products Used:
Gorgeous Leaves stamp set (item #153365)
Color & Contour stamp set (item #154994)
Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (item #156505)
Label Me Lovely Punch (item #151296)
Early Espresso Cardstock (item #119686)
Crumb Cake Cardstock (item #120953)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad (item #147115)
Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad (item #147104)
Old Olive Classic Ink Pad (item #147090)
Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pad (item #147085)
Sahara Sand Classic Ink Pad (item #147117)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item # 155555)
Gilded Gems (item #152478)
Fine Art 3/8" Ribbon (item #154561)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item # 104430)
Measurements:
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Early Espresso Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Sentiment Label punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Background Layer - 5" x 3 3/4"
This card design was so much fun to create and I love being able to combine stamping with embossing to add texture and dimension to the design. The Very Vanilla cardstock layer was stamped with a variety of images from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set to create a wonderful collage. The Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Fold adds a vintage feel to the card and I used a Sponge Dauber to gently sponge Versamark ink onto some of the raised embossing and then heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. To help bring out the text of the embossing, I used a Sponge Dauber with Sahara Sand Classic ink to burnish over the raised areas to make the words pop out. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Color & Contour stamp set with Gold Embossing powder onto an Early Espresso label punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch and I added it over a piece of the Fine Art Ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals attached to the card front. I added two large Gilded Gems to finish off the design and add a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore adding character to your projects by adding texture and fonts with different mediums. There are so many wonderful options to explore.

Punch Techniques Blog Hop

Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop and this month our theme is Punches. Hop along with us as we share ideas and techniques to help you incorporate punches into your projects.
For my card design today, I wanted to show how you can create "windows" to frame focal elements and sentiments to step up your card design. I chose to use the Label Me Lovely Punch to create an opening that would frame a daisy created with the Medium Daisy Punch and an opening created with the Tailored Tag Punch for the sentiment. The color combination I chose was Fresh Freesia, Gray Granite and Basic White for a touch of Gold with the embellishments. The detailed background was created with the new Timber 3D Embossing Folder in the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.
Products Used:
Pansy Patch stamp set (item #154999)
Timber 3D Embossing Folder (item #156406)
Label Me Lovely Punch (item #151296)
Medium Daisy Punch (item #149517)
Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Gray Granite Cardstock (item #146983)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Fresh Freesia Classic Stamp Pad (item #155611)
Gilded Gems (item #152478)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Two medium daisies punched with the Medium Daisy Punch
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Gray Granite Cardstock
Layer 2 - 5" x 3 3/4" Embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder
This fun card design is a great way to use your punches. To create the windows, I punched out an opening from the top of the embossed Gray Granite cardstock using the Label Me Lovely Punch and then punched an opening from the bottom using the Tailored Tag Punch. I attached the Basic White cardstock layer to the Fresh Freesia card base and then added the embossed Gray Granite layer to the Basic White layer with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. For the daisy, I punched out two medium size daisies from Fresh Freesia cardstock and I sponged the petals with Fresh Freesia Classic ink. I layered the two daisies, attaching them together with Mini Glue Dots and attached the daisy to the center of the top window with a Stampin' Dimensional. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set in the center of the bottom window using Fresh Freesia Classic ink. To add a touch of bling, I added a large Gilded Gem to the center of the daisy and two small Gilded Gems to the sentiment window to complete the design. I love that the windows protect the daisy and the Gilded Gems so that it can be mailed to a family member or friend to celebrate their special day.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will give you some ideas to help inspire you to use punches in your projects. There are so many wonderful ways to use them.
