Stamping With Friends April Blog Hop Mother's Day

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends April Blog Hop as we share projects inspired by upcoming holidays in the month of May. These holidays may be something well know or an occasion you have not heard of before. It's a fun way to create and send cards to the people we love to let them know that we are thinking of them.
When I think of May, I automatically think of Mother's Day. As children, we would make handmade cards and gifts at school for our mothers and the tradition continues as we get older, although we tend to substitute the handmade gifts and cards for something special from a store. My Mum lives in Australia and one of the challenges I find with living in the U.S. is that it is very difficult to find a card with "Mum" on it instead of "Mom", which is more common here. So I love the opportunity to create my Mum a beautiful, handmade, one of a kind card that is special for her. Today I chose to use products from the Love You Always Suite in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I chose to use one of the designs from the True Love Designer Series Paper (item #154281) with the Forever And Always Bundle (item #156200). This pretty paper is so easy to color with Stampin' Blends Markers and you can customize with your choice of colors.
Products Used:

Measurements:
Mint Macaron Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Heart die cut with Stitched Be Mine Dies
Background Love die cut with Always Dies
True Love Designer Series Paper
Background Layer - 5" x 3 3/4" - Colored With Stampin' Blends Markers
Gold Foil
Detailed Love die cut with Always Dies
MUM letters die cut with Playful Alphabet Dies
This clean and simple card is easy to assemble and is nice and flat to make it suitable for mailing. I love coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers and this beautiful paper is perfect for this technique. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the colored images for a touch of shimmer to step up the background. The Gold Foil lettering adds a lovely elegant touch to the design and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots are the perfect embellishment to finish off the design. This card design would work well for a variety of occasions and you can change the look and feel of the card simply by changing the colors.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my Mother's Day card will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards to help celebrate this special occasion for the wonderful women in your life. Small piece to stamp basket image from the Springtime Joy stamp set and fussy cut
This pretty Easter card features wonderful layers of purple to create depth and texture to the design. I stamped the lamb image onto the Basic White die cut with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers, using the Color Lifter to soften the Smoky Slate used on the lamb. I stamped the basket image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored it with Stampin' Blends before cutting it out with Paper Snips. For the sentiment, I die cut the label from Highland Heather cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder to coordinate with the card design. Using a piece of the Purple Posy striped ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack, I tied a bow and attached it to the top left corner of the focal image. I added a touch of sparkle to the lamb and basket images with Clear Wink of Stella to finish off the design. The Springtime Joy stamp set is a wonderful option for creating lovely Spring and Easter themed cards with a variety of images and sentiments to create cards for variety of occasions.

Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop Love Is In The Air

It's time to hop along with the Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop as we celebrate the theme, "Love Is In The Air". With Valentine's Day just hours away, I hope that our projects and ideas help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects from the heart.
Often when we think of Valentine's Day, we think of romantic love but today I wanted to share a card I designed that was inspired by my daughters. The Hearts & Kisses Bundle (item #156201) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is perfect for creating fun card designs with a touch of "sassitude", a word that I would use to describe both of my girls and their approach to life. Watching them grow up into the beautiful young women that they have become, has been an emotional journey full of pride and I wanted this card to reflect that. I paired this bundle with one of the designs from the 2019-2021 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #153071) and the Ornate Layers Dies (item #152726). I love Rococo Rose and while neither of my girls could be described as "pink lovers" I felt like this color added a modern feel to the design.
Products Used:
Hearts & Kisses Bundle (item #156201)
Ornate Layers Dies (item #152726)
2019-2021 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152726)
Rococo Rose Cardstock (item #150882)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink Pad (item #147092)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (item #147897)
Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (item #152155)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Rococo Rose Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Piece for the stamped images from the Hearts & Kisses stamp set
Basic Black Cardstock
Matte Layer - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Sentiment Layer die cut with the Ornate Layers Dies
Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
This stepped up clean and simple card design is easy to create and can work for a variety of occasions. I love how the Gold embossing pops against the Basic Black cardstock for the sentiment and the way it adds detail to the background on the Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper. I stamped the lips and lipstick images from the Hearts & Kisses stamp set with Blackberry Bliss Classic ink onto Rococo Rose cardstock, fussy cutting the lipstick and punching out the lips with the coordinating Kiss Punch. I added the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, positioning at an angle. I added the punched out lips to the bottom left corner of the sentiment label with adhesive and attached the lipstick to the bottom left corner of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I colored both of these images with Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer. To embellish the card design, I added three small Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the sentiment label and added a piece of the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon, folded in half, underneath the label so that it peeks out from under the right bottom corner.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to create your own beautiful projects from the heart. There are so possibilities to choose from that are suitable for all ages and occasions.

GSF February Blog Hop Garden Inspiration

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends (GSF) February Blog Hop as we share projects with the theme "Garden Inspiration". You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas.
Today I decided to create a pretty Spring card to help chase away the cold Winter day outside here in Colorado. When I think of Spring, I think of pretty flowers starting to bloom, soft pastel colors and the return of butterflies. This was my inspiration for my card design and I chose to used the Floating & Fluttering Bundle (item #156239) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and paired it with the beautiful Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (item #155222), which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward that you can earn Free with a qualifying order. The sentiment is from the Approaching Perfection stamp set, which is also a product you can earn free during Sale-a-bration. I love how these products coordinate together to create a soft and pretty birthday card.
Products Used:
Floating & Fluttering Bundle (item #156239)
Approaching Perfection stamp set (item #155282)
Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward
Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (item #155222)
Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward
Butterfly Beauty Dies (item #151819)
Rococo Rose Cardstock (item #150882)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108)
Measurements:
Rococo Rose Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
- Sentiment label stamped and die cut with the Floating & Fluttering Bundle
Gold Foil Sheet
- large butterfly die cut with the Fluttering Dies
- 2 small butterflies die cut with the Butterfly Beauty Dies
This clean and simple card is easy to create and I love how the Gold embossing and Gold Foil die cut butterflies step up the design. I stamped the label outline from the Floating & Fluttering stamp set with Versamark ink onto Basic White cardstock and I heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Approaching Perfection stamp set in the center of the label and die cut it with the coordinating Fluttering Dies. I attached the sentiment label to the center of the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the large Gold Foil Butterfly to the top right corner of the sentiment label with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that it overlaps the corner. I added the two small butterfly die cuts below the bottom left corner of the sentiment label to balance out the design. For a touch of bling, I added one of the large and two of the small Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the large die cut butterfly to finish off the card design. For me, this card design reflects my favorite things about a Spring garden and I love that I can send it to someone to help brighten their day.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. Inspiration can come from anywhere and it can be a way to bring a touch of Spring on a cold Winter day.
