3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop Mother's Day

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop as we celebrate Mother's Day. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their amazing projects to help inspire you.
Today I am sharing a simple fun fold that is easy to create with Stampin' Up!'s Paper Trimmer (item #152392). The Book Binder Fold is a great way to showcase pretty paper and today I chose to use the beautiful Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (item #154558) to decorate my card and I used the Strong & Beautiful stamp set for the wonderful sentiments.
Products Used:
Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732) - Retiring
Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (item #154558)
Tasteful Labels Dies (item #152886)
Merry Merlot Cardstock (item #146979)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154890)
Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144146) - Retiring
Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (item #152155) - Retiring
Tear & Tape Adhesive (item #138995)
Measurements:
Merry Merlot Cardstock
Card Base - 4 1/4" x 11" (Scored at 4 1/4" and 5 1/2')
Sentiment Label die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies
Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper
Front Panel - 4" x 4"
Spine Panel - 1" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Inside Panel - 4" x 4"
This card is very simple to assemble and your Paper Trimmer does all the hard work for you. I used my trimmer to cut and score my card base as well as the designer series paper and the inside layer. For the ribbon, I used the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Marker to color two pieces. I used the longer piece to tie a knot around the top layer of the card base and then I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to stick down the book binding panel to the bottom of the card base. I used the second piece of the ribbon as an embellishment under the sentiment label. The pretty Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper is the star of this card design, and I love the beautiful colors and bold floral design. I wanted the sentiment label to compliment it and not over power it, so I embossed the label with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the gold trim on the ribbon.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects to celebrate the special women in your life. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Welcome to the ICS April Blog Hop as we celebrate "It's A Girl Thing". It's a perfect opportunity to create pretty, feminine projects for the girls in our lives. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they showcase their wonderful ideas and projects to help inspire you.
With Mother's Day coming up next month, I thought I would share this soft and pretty card design featuring the beautiful Ornate Borders Dies (item #152724) to create a delicate lacy background. For the sentiment, I used the Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732) with the Ornate Layers Dies (item #152726) to complete this simply elegant card design. For the color combination I chose Soft Sea Foam, Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla cardstock with Gold Foil flower accents to coordinate with the Gold embossing for the sentiment.
Products Used:
Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732) - Retiring

Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144146) - Retiring
Basic Pearl Jewels (item #144219)
Measurements:
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Detailed Sentiment Label die cut with the Ornate Layers Dies

Sentiment Label die cut with Ornate Layers Dies
Blushing Bride Cardstock
Layer 2 - 5" x 3 3/4"
3 Floral die cuts, die cut with the Ornate Borders Dies
Gold Foil Sheet
2 Medium Flowers die cut with Ornate Border Dies
The lace background is the star of this card design and is easy to create. I attached the three floral die cut pieces to the Blushing Bride card front and trimmed the edges. I love the way the Gold Foil flowers and Gold embossing step up this design and I added a small piece of the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon to coordinate. To finish off the card design, I added small Basic Pearls to the centers of the Gold flowers for a touch of bling. This pretty Spring themed card is a perfect way to help someone celebrate Mother's Day.

3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop Mother's Day

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop as we showcase ideas for Mother's Day. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as we share our ideas and projects to help inspire you.
Today I decided to create a beautiful gift bag and coordinating card for Mother's Day. I chose to use the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (item #149484) and partnered it with the Magnolia Bloom stamp set (item #152729) and Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732). I chose to use two sheets of 12"x12" of the same pattern to create both projects.
The card is a clean and simple design using a 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of the designer series paper that was left over from creating the gift bag. I chose Petal Pink cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I attached the designer series paper piece to with Snail Adhesive.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and the flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set using Silver Embossing Powder onto the Whisper White cardstock layer. To embellish the card, I added a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) to the center of the card front with Snail Adhesive to hide the seam of the designer series paper. For a touch of bling, I added three small Basic Rhinestones below the sentiment to complete the card design. I colored the embossed flower with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Markers to coordinate with the design in the designer series paper.
To create the gift bag, I followed the directions in the tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers by Kelly Acheson here. I love how simple this bag was to create and the coordinating designs on the designer series paper look beautiful for this gift bag. I used two sheets of the same 12" x12" Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and cut them to 9 3/4" x 9 3/4" as per the tutorial instructions. The handles were cut from the same two sheets and were cut at 3/4" x 12".  I embellished the gift bag by tying a bow with the Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and adhered it to the middle of the top of the bag with Mini Glue Dots. I added two of the large Clear Faceted Gems (item #144142) to the base of straps for a touch of bling.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my gift bag and coordinating card design inspires you to create your own projects for Mother's Day. You will be amazed at how simple it is to create beautiful projects using designer series paper.

What's New at SU April Blog Hop

Welcome to What's New at SU April Blog Hop. This month we have been challenged to create a card that could be used for the women in your life, perhaps your mother or someone else special. With Mother's Day next month here in the U.S., I thought that I would share with you a pretty card design that might inspire you to create your own Mother's Day card.

Card kits are a wonderful way to create cards without all the fuss and stress of prepping your design from scratch. This card design is one of the beautiful cards you can create from the Incredible Like You Project Kit (item #148552) in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I love all the intricate details that make up this card design and the best thing is that they are all precut, ready for you to assemble.
To personalize this card, I chose to use one of the sentiments from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732) that I felt was perfect to describe my Mum. I stamped it on the precut label with Coastal Cabana Classic ink. This ink color was suggested in the instructions for the kit, so I didn't even have to worry about what color would work best with this color combination.
The Glimmer leaves from the kit were longer than I needed, so I was able to snip each of them into two smaller pieces to attach to the label with Mini Glue Dots. The flowers are precut and the images preprinted, so it was simply a matter of attaching them to the label and adding the Rhinestones that were also included in the kit.

This beautiful card makes a wonderful Mother's Day card but you could choose to personalize it with a different sentiment to create a card suitable for any occasion. The versatility of this card kit is simply amazing and I can't wait to assemble the rest of the cards in the kit.
The Incredible Like You card kit contains supplies to create 16 beautiful cards, 4 each of 4 different designs. You can create the cards by following the directions in the kit or you can experiment and create your own versions. The fact that everything is prepped and ready to create makes it the perfect kit for an afternoon of Creative Therapy.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help you come up with your own ideas to create pretty, feminine projects.
