We Create Showers of Greetings Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the We Create Showers of Greetings Blog Hop. As we try to adapt to the changes going on in our lives, it's a perfect time to send out cards to let people know how much we care and that we are thinking of them. I hope our project ideas will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards to send to the people you love.
I decided to create a clean and simple card using the pretty Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (item #149592) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I chose to use Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base and I added a 4" x5 1/4" piece of the designer series paper for the background.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Country Home stamp set (item #147678) using Gold Embossing Powder onto Whisper White cardstock. I punched out the sentiment using the Label Me Lovely Punch (item #151296). To create the small floral die cuts, I stamped the flower image from the Under My Umbrella stamp set (item #151518) twice onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder. I fussy cut the images out and colored them with Light Old Olive and Light and Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Markers. I attached the flowers to the top and bottom of the punched sentiment using Snail Adhesive. I added Basic Rhinestones to the center of the flowers for a touch of bling.
To decorate the card front, I took a piece of Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #151194) and looped it, attaching it to the card front. I added the sentiment label over the top of the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.
This soft and pretty card design is easy to duplicate and create multiple cards to send out to family and friends during this difficult time. Sending a card is a way to reach out to someone and let them know you are thinking of them.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design inspires you to explore creating your own beautiful cards to send out to friends and family. It's amazing the difference a little happy mail can make in someone's life.

  2. Heat embossing is what drew me to stamping almost 26 years ago! I still love it...and I love watching the transformation from powder to shine! Such a pretty accent to this card!
