It's time to hop along with the 3D Paper Trimmer January Blog Hop as we explore projects created using our Favorite Sale-a-bration products from the 2021 Sale-a-bration Catalog. You will be visiting with wonderful Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas to help inspire you.
Sale-a-bration is one of my favorite times of the year and trying to pick just one favorite from all the amazing Sale-a-bration products was so hard. So today I am sharing two of my favorite products that I used to create this cute little gift bag that works for so many occasions. I chose the beautiful Oh So Ombre 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #155225), a Level 1 Reward which is free with a qualifying USD$50 order and combined it with the stunning A Touch Of Ink stamp set (item #155233) which is a Level 2 Reward, free with a USD$100 order. Both of these products are so versatile and work well together or separately to create a wide variety of projects.

I found the directions for this cute little gift bag on a video on You Tube by Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Angie Juda, and thanks to her wonderful instructions, I was able to come up with my own version using these products. You can find the video here. The Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper has so many beautiful colors and designs to choose from and I choose to use the Granny Apple Green circle design paper for my bag. To decorate the bag I stamped the butterfly background image onto Basic White cardstock and then stamped the  outline image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on top of the background image. I fussy cut the image using Paper Snips and added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the stitched Basic White circle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and attached the butterfly to the circle above the sentiment. I added the Basic White circle to the Granny Apple Green scalloped circle and attached it to the front of the gift bag, about an inch from the bottom. To decorate the circle, I added three small Basic Pearls that I colored using the Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends Marker. To complete the gift bag, I tied a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon around the top with a bow to close the bag. I love the way this gift bag turned out and I can't wait to create more ready for Valentine's Day.

3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop Mother's Day

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer April Blog Hop as we showcase ideas for Mother's Day. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as we share our ideas and projects to help inspire you.
Today I decided to create a beautiful gift bag and coordinating card for Mother's Day. I chose to use the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (item #149484) and partnered it with the Magnolia Bloom stamp set (item #152729) and Strong & Beautiful stamp set (item #148732). I chose to use two sheets of 12"x12" of the same pattern to create both projects.
The card is a clean and simple design using a 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of the designer series paper that was left over from creating the gift bag. I chose Petal Pink cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I attached the designer series paper piece to with Snail Adhesive.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set and the flower from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set using Silver Embossing Powder onto the Whisper White cardstock layer. To embellish the card, I added a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) to the center of the card front with Snail Adhesive to hide the seam of the designer series paper. For a touch of bling, I added three small Basic Rhinestones below the sentiment to complete the card design. I colored the embossed flower with Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Markers to coordinate with the design in the designer series paper.
To create the gift bag, I followed the directions in the tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers by Kelly Acheson here. I love how simple this bag was to create and the coordinating designs on the designer series paper look beautiful for this gift bag. I used two sheets of the same 12" x12" Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper and cut them to 9 3/4" x 9 3/4" as per the tutorial instructions. The handles were cut from the same two sheets and were cut at 3/4" x 12".  I embellished the gift bag by tying a bow with the Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and adhered it to the middle of the top of the bag with Mini Glue Dots. I added two of the large Clear Faceted Gems (item #144142) to the base of straps for a touch of bling.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my gift bag and coordinating card design inspires you to create your own projects for Mother's Day. You will be amazed at how simple it is to create beautiful projects using designer series paper.
