Share Sunshine Cards To Help Make A Difference

As we prepare to say goodbye to the Share Sunshine PDF that Stampin' Up! has offered to raise funds for COVID 19 charities, I thought I would share some cards that I created using some of the wonderful images and sentiments from this PDF. With the challenges we are all facing, sending cards to people to show that you care and help them feel like they are not alone, is a wonderful way to help make a difference. I hope that you enjoy the cards I have created.

The three card designs I have to share with you today, were created using some retiring products from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and it was a great opportunity to used up some supplies that I had in my crafting stash. Two of the card design use the Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes, one silver and one gold to create clean and simple card designs. The third card design was created using cardstock for the card base that coordinated with the designer series paper I chose.

This light hearted card design features the image and sentiment from the Share Sunshine PDF and I colored the "Quarantini" with Stampin' Blends Markers to add a pop of color. I chose one of the designs from the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper for the background and I love the contrast of this distressed background with the Silver Foil of the card base.

The second card design, features strips of the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, adhered to the Gold Foil Edged card base to create the background. I added a layer of Gold Foil that I die cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies to create a frame for the larger sentiment and added the small sentiment that I punched out using the Classic Label Punch to the bottom right side of the card front. This would work great as a masculine card design .

My final card design combines the sentiment from the Share Sunshine PDF with one of my favorite retiring stamp sets, the Beautiful You stamp set. I just felt like the image in this stamp set fitted perfectly with the sentiment and the pretty pattern of the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper. I colored the image using Stampin' Blends Markers and added Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer. For this card design, I chose to use Rococo Rose cardstock for the card base and the matte layers for both the focal image and the sentiment.

The Share Sunshine PDF is a wonderful resource for images and sentiments to use on projects during COVID 19 to share love and support with friends, family, coworkers and first responders. Ink. Stamp. Share May Special Blog Hop Anything Goes

It's time to hop along with the Ink. Stamp. Share. Special May Blog Hop as we share ideas and projects to help inspire your creativity. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects. Let the fun begin.

Today I decided to share a card that has no stamping. Shocking but true. I decided to use the retiring Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack (item #149552) with the coordinating Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (item #149481) which is also retiring. I love that I was able to make this beautiful Father's Day card with just a few simple supplies.

To create this card, I started with an Early Espresso cardstock card base and I added a layer of the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to create the background. I cut a piece of 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" Early Espresso cardstock to create a matte for the 3" x 4" card from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack. There are so many wonderful designs in this card pack, that it was really hard to choose just one.

To decorate the card front, I cut a piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon (item #141487) the width of the card and attached it to the card front using Snail Adhesive. Next, I attached the focal image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure to center it over the ribbon.

To complete the card design, I added four of the Basic Pearls, that I colored using the Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends Marker, one in each corner of the Memories & More card design. I just love how it completes the design without being too over the top. The designs in the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack are perfect for creating masculine cards for all occasions and the coordinating Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper provides so many wonderful possibilities for creating projects. Both of these products are only available while supplies last or until June 2nd.

SBTD May Blog Hop Say Goodbye To Over The Moon

Welcome to the STBD May Blog Hop as we say goodbye to retiring products from the current Stampin' Up! catalogs. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.

For my card design today, I decided to showcase the retiring Over The Moon stamp set (item #149331) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I paired it with two punches that are also retiring, the Twinkle Builder Punch (item #146321) and the Pretty Label Punch (item #143715), to create this sweet card design.

To create this card, I chose Balmy Blue cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the retiring Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the background. I stamped one of the cow images from the Over The Moon stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Basic Black, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. I fussy cut the image out with my Paper Snips and added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the image.

To create the clouds for the design, I punched out two shapes using the Pretty Label Punch from Whisper White cardstock and carefully went around the outline of each shape with the Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker to give it definition. I heat embossed the sentiment onto one of the "clouds" with Gold Embossing Powder. Using the Twinkle Builder Punch, I punched out one of the crescent moon shapes and seven stars of various sizes to decorate the background. I colored each shape using Clear Wink of Stella to add a touch of sparkle.

The card was assembled by attaching the plain cloud to the card front using Snail Adhesive towards the center of the card. The cloud with the sentiment was attached using Stampin' Dimensionals so that it overlaps the first cloud. Using Snail Adhesive, I attached the moon and stars to the background, except for two of the stars that were attached to the sentiment cloud to embellish it. For the finishing touch, I added the cow image so that it rested on the top cloud, slightly overhanging the cloud with the sentiment. I love how this card design turned out and I think it can be used for a variety of occasions. My first thought was an unconventional Graduation card, especially for a Kindergartner or a student transitioning from Elementary school to Middle school.
