Colour Combo September Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the Colour Combo September Blog Hop as we explore the challenge of using Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana and Call Me Clover to create our projects. I love green but I must admit that I have never thought of using these colors together and I am excited to share with you what I came up with. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world along this blog hop as we share our creative ideas to help inspire you to give these beautiful colors a try in your own creations.

 For my card design today, I chose to use the Capture the Good stamp set (item #150388) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. This amazing stamp set was designed by fellow demonstrator, Tami White, as a reward for earning $1 Million in Career sales. My husband is a photographer, so this stamp was a must have for me. I paired it with the Perennial Birthday stamp set (item # 151240) for the Happy Birthday sentiment to complete the card design.

 To create this monochromatic card design, I chose Call Me Clover cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Mint Macaron cardstock for the matte layer for the focal design. I stamped the camera image from the Capture the Good stamp set with Coastal Cabana Classic ink onto a layer of Whisper White cardstock. To create the background, I stamped the image using Mint Macaron Classic ink and stamping it off once on a scrap piece of paper before stamping it randomly to create the background. 

Using the small heart stamp image from the Meant To Be stamp set (item #148626), I heat embossed the hearts with Silver embossing powder to embellish the background. I also heat embossed the birthday sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set with Silver embossing powder in the bottom right corner.

 The lens was created using the circle dies from the Layering Circles Dies (item #141705) and I die cut the smallest circle from Whisper White cardstock and I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder. I layered it onto a larger circle die cut from Call Me Clover cardstock and attached them both to the Mint Macaron Scalloped circle. I attached the circles to the card front so that they covered the stamped image of the lens. To finish off the card, I added a Clear Faceted Gem that I colored using the Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends Marker, for a touch of bling.

GSF Extraordinary Anniversary Blog Hop

Today we are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary with the Global Stamping Friends Anniversary Blog Hop. It has been an honor to hop along with my wonderful fellow Stampin' Demonstrators as we share our ideas and projects to help inspire you. I hope that you will enjoy today's blog hop as we celebrate 3 years together.

 My card design today features products from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog paired up with some Sneak Peek products from the new 2019 Holiday Catalog that will launch September 4th. I love taking products and creating unexpected designs with them and that is what I did when I chose to use the Ornate Frames Dies (150664) and the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder (item #150665) from the Monster Bash Suite in the Halloween section of the Holiday Catalog and combine it with the Be Mine Stitched Dies and coordinating Meant To Be stamp set from the Annual Catalog. 

 This pretty card design was created using Rococo Rose cardstock for the card base and I added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock that I embossed using the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Next I added a layer of Blushing Bride cardstock that I die cut an opening using one of the large heart dies from the Be Mine Stitched Dies. I attached the Blushing Bride cardstock to the Very Vanilla cardstock layer with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and create depth for the opening. Using two of the nesting hearts from the same die set, I die cut a thin heart frame from Rococo Rose cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the heart opening with Snail Adhesive. 

 To create the sentiment label, I used the Ornate Frames dies to die cut the detailed frame from Gold Foil. I heat embossed the Congratulations sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set (item #151407) onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and then die cut it with the coordinating die from the die set. I added the Very Vanilla Label to the Gold Foil Frame with Snail Adhesive and then adhered it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals,  overlapping the heart opening. 

Using the small striped heart stamp from the Meant to Be stamp set (item #148626), I stamped the image with Blushing Bride Classic ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating die in the Be Mine Stitched Dies (item #148527). I attached the heart die cut with a Stampin' Dimensional to the card front so that the top of the heart overlaps the sentiment. 

To finish off the card design, I stamped the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #151331) with Versamark ink onto a scrap of Rococo Rose cardstock and heat embossed it with Shimmer White Embossing Powder. I then die cut it with one of the small dies from the Ornate Frames dies and attached it to the card front at an angle, slightly underneath the heart die cut. For a touch of bling, I added a Gold Metallic Pearl to the small sentiment tag.

SBTD January Special Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to the SBTD January Blog Hop and to start off the New Year, we have been challenged to create a Fun Fold card design. You will be visiting Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world as they share their wonderful ideas to help inspire you. I hope that you enjoy the projects we have to share with you today.

I decided to try the Joy Fold, which is a fun fold I discovered on the Splitcoast Stampers website in their tutorial section here. I thought that this special fold would be perfect for a love themed card that could be used for Valentine's Day, an anniversary or wedding card.

I chose to use Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick cardstock to create the card base and flaps and paired it with Very Vanilla cardstock to give it a slightly vintage feel. To hold the flap down on the front of the card, I stamped the detailed heart image from the Meant To Be stamp set (item #148626) and die cut it using one of the small stitched hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies (item #148527). When you order these coordinating products together in the Meant To Be Bundle (item #150587), you can save 10%. I layered it onto a 1 1/4" circle of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and used a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it to the card.

For the stamping, I used both Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick Classic ink to create the elements of this card design. The panel of Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Classic ink using the multiple hearts image from the Forever Lovely stamp set (item #148624). I love the variety of shades that are created with this stamp just by using one ink color. I repeated the same image using Lovely Lipstick Classic ink on the inside Very Vanilla cardstock panel and stamped the sentiment using the Flirty Flamingo Classic ink. I love how these colors work together. 

The hearts on the card front were created using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies (item #148527) and I love all the intricate detail in the Lovely Lipstick die cut heart and how it contrasts with the scalloped stitched heart die cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I layered them onto the Very Vanilla cardstock panel that I embossed using the beautiful Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #148530). The texture of this embossing folder is simply stunning. 

The sentiment on the front of card is from the Forever Lovely stamp set and I heat embossed it onto a scrap of Lovely Lipstick cardstock with White embossing powder. I attached it to the card front so that it would appear to peek out from under the circle. 

I am so happy with how this card turned out and I love all the intricate detail and texture without a lot of frill and fuss. The detail in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies is incredible and I love all the wonderful possibilities there are to create projects with them.
