Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 10 Starry Sky

It's time to check out Week 10 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and this week we are creating with the beautiful Starry Sky, one of the 2022-2024 In Colors. I love this dark blue as an alternative to Night of Navy and I can't wait to share with you the card design I have created.
For today's card design, I chose to use the new Happy Little Things Bundle, which is one of the new Online Exclusives released this week. I love the sentiments in this stamp set and the coordinating dies make it simple to die cut the smaller sentiments to add as an accent. I paired it with the Nested Essentials Dies to create the focal sentiment label and I used one of the designs from the 2022-2024 In Colors 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to create a fun, bold background. This card design would work well as a masculine card and could be used for birthdays, graduations and so much more to help celebrate a special day.
Products Used:
Happy Little Things Bundle (item #163710)
Nested Essentials Dies (item #161597)
2022-2024 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #161645)

Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
2022-2024 In Color Pearls (item #161621)
Starry Sky 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon (item #159198)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Starry Sky Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Sentiment Label die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies
Small Matte Label die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Small Sentiment Label stamped and die cut with the Happy Little Things Bundle
Small Matte Label die cut with the Happy Little Things Dies
Starry Sky Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple card design focuses on the sentiments from the Happy Little Things stamp set. I chose to use the large outline image for the Celebrate sentiment to heat emboss it onto Starry Sky cardstock using Silver Embossing powder to make it pop. I used the Nested Essentials to die cut the sentiment label and then layered it onto a slightly larger Basic White cardstock label also die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies. For the small sentiment, I stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock using Starry Sky Classic ink and then die cut it out with the smaller of the two dies from the Happy Little Things Dies. I then layered it onto the Starry Sky label die cut with the larger banner die. For the embellishments for this design, I added two pieces of the Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon around the center of the polka dot card front, spacing them about 1/2" apart and attaching them to the back of the card front, before attaching the layer to the card base. I added both sentiments using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up. To complete the design, I added several Starry Sky Pearls to both sentiment labels for a touch of subtle bling. So there you have it. A wonderful card design featuring a beautiful dark blue that I hope you will love as much as I do. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. Around The World On Wednesday June Blog Hop Let's Go On An Adventure

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday June Blog Hop as we go on an adventure to create fun and inspiring projects. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity and hopefully inspire you to go on your own creative adventure.
When I think about adventure, my mind goes to traveling and exploring new places. I have been fortunate to have traveled and lived in various places around the world, so this is what influenced my card design. For my card design today, I wanted to use the new Next Destination stamp set in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I love the images and sentiments in this stamp set and I thought it would be perfect for creating cards for Graduations and Retirements. The card design I created has a vintage feel to it and would be a perfect masculine card. I paired it with the Watercolor World stamp to create the background for the card design and used Pecan Pie, Wild Wheat, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla with a touch of Gold to step up the design.
Products Used:
Next Destination stamp set (item #161427)
Watercolor World stamp set (item #160708)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Early Espresso Cardstock (item #119686)
Pecan Pie Cardstock (item #161717)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad (item #147114)
Pecan Pie Classic Ink Pad (item #161665)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161674)
Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154882)
Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154904)
Wild Wheat Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161661)
Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154886_
Color Lifter (item #144608)
Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots (item #156506)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Early Espresso Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Stitched Square die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Pecan Pie Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Square - 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
The images in the Next Destination stamp set work perfectly for creating a card with theme of going on a journey, starting a new adventure. I love the sketched style of the images and wanted to create an aged, worn look to my card similar to an old notebook with a vintage map on the cover. Pecan Pie is a wonderful, warm brown and it works beautifully with Early Espresso. I stamped the Watercolor World stamp with Pecan Pie Classic ink onto the Pecan Pie card front to create the look of a vintage world map. The focal image was stamped with Early Espresso Classic ink onto a Very Vanilla cardstock square and I colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used the Light Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Marker to create the background around the image and blended it with the Color Lifter to soften and distress the background. The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto the Early Espresso cardstock label and I embellished the label with two of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots. I popped both the focal image and the sentiment label up using Stampin' Dimensionals, with the sentiment label overlapping the bottom right side of the focal square. I love how this card design turned out and I feel like it is perfect for someone preparing for the next stage in their life, their next adventure.

New At SU May Blog Hop New In Colors With Core Colors

Welcome to the New At SU May Blog Hop as we explore the amazing new colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. We will be focusing on the beautiful new 2023-2025 In Colors and how they look with the wonderful Color Collections Stampin' Up! has to offer. You may notice some new colors as well as some returning favorites that have been added during the recent Color Refresh. Our talented Design Team members will be sharing their ideas and projects to help spark your creativity and inspire you to explore these wonderful new colors.
My favorite color is blue, so I had to choose the beautiful Boho Blue from the 2023-2025 In Colors to showcase with my card design. I chose to use the Zany Zoo Bundle to create a sweet celebration card that would work well as a birthday card or even as a Graduation card. I paired Boho Blue with Misty Moonlight and Lemon Lime Twist, two returning colors, and Lemon Lolly, a new color that has been added to our color collections. For the raccoon, I used a combination of Smoky Slate with Pebbled Path, another of the new 2023-2025 In Colors.
Products Used:
Zany Zoo Bundle (item #161315)
Countryside Corners Dies (item #161471)
2023-2025 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #161646)
Boho Blue Cardstock (item #161724)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Boho Blue Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161659)
Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161658)
Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #159221)
Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161673)
Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161682)
Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154904)
Ribbon Duo combo Pack (item #161318)
Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels (item #158987)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Medium Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Boho Blue Cardstock
Small Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Raccoon with Balloons image stamped and die cut with the Zany Zoo Bundle
Boho Blue Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This fun clean and simple card design shows how beautifully Boho Blue plays with other Stampin' Up! colors. I love how it looks with Misty Moonlight to create a frame around the designer series card front and the focal layers. The pops of color from the balloons helps bring the card design to life. The striped Boho Blue card front creates a wonderful background for this design and I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create the layers for the focal image and the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder onto the Misty Moonlight sentiment label to coordinate with the background. To create the raccoon image, I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored it with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. The Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends are a wonderful alternative to using Basic Black and work well with Smoky Slate to color the raccoon. For embellishments, I used a piece of Lemon Lime Twist 1/8" Ribbon around the card front, beneath the sentiment label and I colored several Iridescent Pearls with the Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends Marker to add a touch of bling. Boho Blue is a beautiful medium blue and is fast becoming a favorite new In Color. I hope you will give it a try with your new projects.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore the wonderful new In Colors and new Core colors in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. Around The World On Wednesday June Blog Hop 2020-2021 Annual Catalog

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday June Blog Hop as we showcase products from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world, including our special guest, Cindy Schuster. We will be sharing projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects.
One of my favorite new suites in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is the World of Good Suite. I love the vintage feel and the wonderful colors and textures that make it perfect for masculine cards. Today I have chosen to use the World of Good Memories & More Card Pack (item #153600) as my focal image for my card design.
To create this card, I chose Early Espresso cardstock for my card base and added the beautiful new In Color, Cinnamon Cider cardstock, as my background. I embossed this layer using the new Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (item #153200) to add texture to the background. I love how the embossed Cinnamon Cider cardstock has the look of worn, wrinkled leather, like you would find on an old journal.
The focal image is just one of the many wonderful cards from the World of Good Memories and More Card Pack and I loved the sentiment on this particular card design. I added it to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock to create a frame that makes it stand out against the embossed background.
To finish off the card design, I added a piece of the Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim (item 3152472) across the bottom of the card and added three of the small Gilded Gems (item $152478) below the trim. I love how the touch of gold steps up the card design. This card design would be wonderful as a Graduation card or even a Retirement card as both of these milestone occasions lead to new adventures in life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to explore the new Annual Catalog and try some of the wonderful new products Stampin' Up! has to offer. As you can see from this wonderful suite, the products coordinate beautifully to make it easy to create simply beautiful projects.

SBTD May Blog Hop Say Goodbye To Over The Moon

Welcome to the STBD May Blog Hop as we say goodbye to retiring products from the current Stampin' Up! catalogs. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you.
For my card design today, I decided to showcase the retiring Over The Moon stamp set (item #149331) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. I paired it with two punches that are also retiring, the Twinkle Builder Punch (item #146321) and the Pretty Label Punch (item #143715), to create this sweet card design.
To create this card, I chose Balmy Blue cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the retiring Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the background. I stamped one of the cow images from the Over The Moon stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with Basic Black, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. I fussy cut the image out with my Paper Snips and added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the image.
To create the clouds for the design, I punched out two shapes using the Pretty Label Punch from Whisper White cardstock and carefully went around the outline of each shape with the Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker to give it definition. I heat embossed the sentiment onto one of the "clouds" with Gold Embossing Powder. Using the Twinkle Builder Punch, I punched out one of the crescent moon shapes and seven stars of various sizes to decorate the background. I colored each shape using Clear Wink of Stella to add a touch of sparkle.
The card was assembled by attaching the plain cloud to the card front using Snail Adhesive towards the center of the card. The cloud with the sentiment was attached using Stampin' Dimensionals so that it overlaps the first cloud. Using Snail Adhesive, I attached the moon and stars to the background, except for two of the stars that were attached to the sentiment cloud to embellish it. For the finishing touch, I added the cow image so that it rested on the top cloud, slightly overhanging the cloud with the sentiment. I love how this card design turned out and I think it can be used for a variety of occasions. My first thought was an unconventional Graduation card, especially for a Kindergartner or a student transitioning from Elementary school to Middle school.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to take a look at the retiring products still available on the Last Chance Retirement List and order your favorites before they disappear. Some of these products, like the Twinkle Builder Punch, have been discounted. Products on the Last Chance List are available while supplies last or until June 2nd, 2020.

Now it's time to visit Carly's blog and see what retiring product she is saying goodbye to. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog. I hope that you enjoy the rest of our blog hop.
