Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 31 - Pretty Peacock

Happy Friday everyone. It's time for Week 31 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and this week we are showcasing Pretty Peacock from the Regals Collection. I love this gorgeous blue-green color and how versatile it is. I hope you enjoy the card design I created this week.
For today's card design, I wanted to play with the new Sketched Butterflies Bundle from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I love butterflies and I was so excited when I saw the detailed images and beautiful sentiments in this bundle. I chose to create a clean and simple birthday card using one of the patterns from the Regals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for my background. I love the texture and detail it adds to the card design and how it gives the impression that the butterfly is flying through a forest. The Countryside Corners Dies help add a frame around the focal image that really makes the butterfly pop. I love how this card design turned out and with the wide range of sentiments and images in this bundle, you could create a variety of card designs for all occasions.
Products Used:

Pretty Peacock Cardstock (item #150880)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Pretty Peacock Classic Ink Pad (item #150083)
Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:

Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Focal Layer die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Medium Butterfly stamped and die cut with the Sketched Butterflies Bundle
Pretty Peacock Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This beautiful clean and simple card design is easy to create with just a few supplies. I love how the Countryside Corner Dies help create a frame around the focal image and sentiment and help them pop against the designer series paper card front. I stamped the butterfly with Pretty Peacock Classic ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then die cut it out with the coordinating die. I also stamped the sentiment with Pretty Peacock Classic ink onto the focal layer towards the bottom. I attached the butterfly die cut with a Stampin' Dimensional towards the top of the focal layer and added several Pretty Peacock gems to decorate the body of the butterfly. I attached the focal layer to the larger Pretty Peacock die cut layer. To complete the card design, I attached the designer series paper card front to the Pretty Peacock card base and then centered the focal image onto the card front. As you can see, it comes together very quickly and easily to create a simply beautiful design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that this card design will encourage you to explore using Pretty Peacock to create your own beautiful projects. This pretty color is so versatile and would work well for so many occasions.

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations December Blog Hop and this month our theme is Sounds of the Season. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore this wonderful theme. There are so many possibilities to explore.
When I think about the sounds of Christmas, I think of singing Christmas carols and listening to holiday music to get us into the spirit of the season. So for my card design, I chose to use one of the designs from the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder to create a festive background. The focal image and sentiment are from one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets, Festive & Fun, and I colored the images with Stampin' Blends Markers, one of my favorite ways to color. The result is a bright and festive Christmas card that makes me think of spending time together with family and friends, celebrating the joy of the holidays.

I stamped the focal image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with a variety of bright and cheerful colors to bring the design to life. Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends October Blog Hop and this month we are showcasing our favorite coloring methods. Stampin' Up! has so many wonderful coloring mediums that it is difficult to choose a favorite. Our Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help convince you that their method is the best. I wonder which method they will choose.
One of my favorite ways to color would have to be using Stampin' Blends Markers. I just love how they blend and the beautiful range of colors that Stampin' Up! offers gives me so many options. I find coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers so relaxing and I couldn't wait to use them to color the giraffe image in the new Festive & Fun stamp set. I paired this cute image with the new Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper to create a bright and cheerful Christmas card. Don't you just love the Fa La La La La in the background design?

I love creating Christmas cards and the Festive & Fun stamp set is one of my favorites from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. It's like a Christmas version of the Zany Zoo Bundle in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I chose to use one of the designs from the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper to add a wonderful pop of color to the card. The giraffe image from the Festive & Fun stamp set is so much fun to color with Stampin' Blends Markers. For a touch of shimmer, I used Clear Wink of Stella on the ornaments and Santa hat. I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create the background for the giraffe and I fussy cut the image and attached it to the background with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. The sentiment has been stamped on a 1/2" strip of Basic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I used the star punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack to create the banner for the strip. For a touch of bling, I added several Daffodil Delight Dots to complete this bright and cheerful Christmas card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope my card design will help inspire you to try Stampin' Blends Markers to color your images for your projects. They are so much fun to use and I love the vibrant colors and how easy they are to blend.

Stamptastic Friends August Blog Hop Celebration

Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends August Blog Hop and this month it's all about Celebrations. I love creating cards to help celebrate special occasions for family and friends. Whether it is a birthday, wedding, anniversary, new baby or any of the other milestones in our lives, it is so much fun to create a one of a kind card to recognize that moment. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects.
One of my favorite things about making my own cards, is the ability to personalize the card to make it special for the person receiving it. For today's celebration card, I wanted to create a fun and pretty birthday card for someone who loves pinks and purples. I chose to use the Silly Goose stamp set as the images and sentiments are fun and whimsical, perfect for a lighthearted birthday card. For the background, I chose one of the designs from the Bright & Beautiful 6"x6" Designer Series Paper that reminded me of confetti falling. I love that this card design is a celebration of a special day and a wish for a great year ahead.
Products Used:
Silly Goose stamp set (item #160866)

This soft and pretty card was so much fun to create. The designer series paper background helped set the tone for this card and it gave me the colors for the design. I chose to use Fresh Freesia for the card base and the matte layer and used soft pretty pastels to color the focal image. The Bubble Bath sentiment label and embellishments add a subtle contrast and coordinate with the designer series paper. The Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins add a touch of sparkle and blend in with the pattern of the designer series paper. The bow at the top of the card helps finish off the design. I hope this pretty birthday card will help brighten someone's special day.

Global Stamping Friends August Blog Hop School Days

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends August Blog Hop as we celebrate School Days. It's hard to believe that Summer is almost over and it's time to get ready to go back to school. This year is the first year in a long time that I will not have to worry about this routine and I must admit, it feels very strange. Now that all my kids have graduated, I have a new perspective and for me, a feeling of nostalgia as I remember the days of buying school supplies and preparing for that first day of school.
For my card design, I focused on some of my favorite things when I think of going back to school. I loved getting new books and school supplies, so I couldn't wait to use the new Bird's Eye View stamp set as it has a wonderful set of books and I thought the little bird would look adorable wearing the big round glasses, like he is ready for school. The background is one of the designs from the Inked Botanicals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper and it reminded me of the school uniforms that I used to wear as a kid growing up in Australia. I used one of my favorite color combinations of Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Basic White and added some pops of color using Stampin' Blends Markers to color the images.
Products Used:
Bird's Eye View stamp set (item #161436)
Next Destination stamp set (item #161427)

Have you ever looked at a stamp set and thought that it wasn't for you and you just didn't need it? That was me when I first saw the Bird's Eye View stamp set. When I saw it in the catalog, it just didn't catch my attention and I moved on to other products that were more my style. So what changed? I saw so many cute projects and ideas shared by other Demonstrators and I just couldn't resist getting it during the stamp sale last month. I am so glad I did, because it was perfect for this month's theme. The images in this stamp set are easy to color and fussy cut if you want to add some dimension to your projects and the fact that there are no sentiments means you can combine it with any of your favorite sentiment stamp sets. I used the Countryside Corners Dies to create the frame and the focal layer for my card design and I fell in love with this particular design in the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and just knew I had to use it for my card. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Next Destination stamp set using Gold embossing powder onto a Lost Lagoon label and I thought it worked well for a back to school card design. To finish off the card, I added some Loose Frosted Dots, which are part of the Online Exclusives, as they added the perfect touch of bling for this design. I love how this card turned out and I can't wait to play with the Bird's Eye View stamp set more to see what I can come up with.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects to celebrate this special time of the year. Make sure to keep an eye out for the hidden gems in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog to help you create projects for all occasions.
