Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 5 - Pumpkin PIe

Welcome to Week 5 of the 2025 Monochromatic Color Challenge and this week we are showcasing Pumpkin Pie from the Brights Collection. I must admit that this is a color I don't use very often so this was a fun challenge to create a clean and simple design that shows how versatile this color can be.
I love heat embossing, so for today's card design, I wanted to create a tone on tone look to for the focal image and sentiment using Clear embossing powder. To help make the images pop a little more, I added some Pumpkin Pie Classic ink around the edges of the circle and sentiment label with a Blending Brush to create some depth and dimension. I also added some soft color to the designer series paper background to give it a distressed, vintage feel that also helps bring out the Gold embossed detail. This card design has a wonderful clean and simple elegance to it that works well for a variety of occasions.

If you have been following me for a while, you know how much I love creating clean and simple card designs using designer series paper. Recently I rediscovered Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper from my crafting stash and I just love the simple elegance of the beautiful gold embossing on the designs in this paper pack. For today's card, I chose the design that has a newsprint feel to it with subtle Gold embossed splatters and I applied Pumpkin Pie Classic ink softly over the card front to give it just a hint of color. This helps bring out the Gold splatters and gives the card design more of a vintage feel. The Clear embossing of the focal image and sentiment add a wonderful contrast to the card design and I love the subtle glossy look that the embossing powder adds. For a touch of bling, I added several of the Champagne Iridescent Dots that coordinate perfectly with the other elements of this card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to explore using Pumpkin Pie to create your own beautiful card designs. As you can see, there is so much more to this color than Halloween and Fall and I just love the versatility of this beautiful orange.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 4 - Petunia Pop

Happy Friday everyone, it's time for Week 4 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025. This week we are showcasing Petunia Pop, one of the 2024-2026 In Colors. I love this bright and beautiful color and how it has that perfect mix of pink and purple to help brighten up our creative projects.
For today's card design, I decided to play with some old favorites in my stash. I chose to use one of the designs from the Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper for my card front and paired it with the Something Fancy stamp set and coordinating Something Fancy Dies to create the sentiment. To create this design, I added some color with the Petunia Pop Classic ink and a Blender Pen to color in the Gold embossed flowers as well as some soft background color using a Blending Brush. I love how the Petunia Pop helps bring this beautiful paper to life to create a soft and pretty card design.
Products Used:
Something Fancy stamp set (item #160416)
Something Fancy Dies (item #160424)
Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #162616)

Blending Brushes (item #153611)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Petunia Pop Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
I love creating pretty card designs with designer series paper and this card design is no exception. The Gold embossed design is the perfect way to step up the card and when you add a bit of color to the design, it takes it to a whole new level. I love using Blender Pens to "color" images using ink. It's a wonderful way to be able to control the intensity of the color you add to your images. To soften the background, I applied a light layer of Petunia Pop using a Blending Brush, which helps bring out the detail of the Gold embossed images. The combination of these two techniques is a great way to add some color and interest to your designer series paper. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Something Fancy stamp set with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the designer series paper layer. The sentiment label was die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies and I layered it over a piece of the Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon that I added to provide some texture and contrast to the card front. The Gold Blooming Pearls add the perfect finishing touch to the sentiment label to help tie everything together.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to explore using Petunia Pop in your creative projects. There are so many wonderful products you can use to create your own unique designs. I love that Petunia Pop has a variety of coordinating products that makes it easier to mix and match to create fun and pretty card designs.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 3 - Old Olive

Welcome to Week 3 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge as we showcase Old Olive from the Regals Collection. This classic mid green is so versatile and I decided to create a masculine birthday card to create a fun clean and simple design.
This month I have been exploring different ways to create clean and simple card designs using heat embossing, one of my favorite techniques. For this design, I chose to heat emboss the sentiment images to create a contrast between the large bold image and the smaller sentiment. The designer series paper background adds wonderful texture and detail that works well for a masculine design.
Products Used:
Day To Celebrate stamp set (item #164963)
Sale-a-bration Level 1 Reward
Saying Hey stamp set (item #163697)
Nested Essentials Dies (item #161597)
Regals 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item $163774)
Old Olive Cardstock (item #100702)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165679)
Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix (item #164618)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Old Olive Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies
Old Olive Striped Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This fun card design is a wonderful combination of stamps, paper and ink and I stepped up the design by using heat embossing for the sentiments. I love how the White embossing powder pops against the Old Olive cardstock and draws your attention. The smaller Happy Birthday sentiment was heat embossed using Clear embossing powder which gives a wonderful tone on tone look and a wonderful contrast. For the background design, I stamped the streamers image with Versamark ink to create a third variation for the sentiment label. To complete the card design, I added several of the Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix sequins for a touch of bling without it being over the top.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore creating your own clean and simple cards using Old Olive. There are a variety of options available to help spark your creativity to create projects for all occasions.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge 2025 Week 1 - Daffodil Delight

Welcome to a new year of Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge and we are starting with Daffodil Delight to showcase for Week 1. What better way to start 2025 than exploring new ways to use Stampin' Up!'s beautiful colors to create your own wonderful projects.
With Winter settling in here in Colorado, I felt like I needed to create a card to remind us of warm Spring days that are just a few months away to help chase away the Winter blues. Daffodil Delight is such a pretty, cheerful yellow and I think it is a perfect color to bring some sunshine into our lives. One of my favorite products for creating beautiful clean and simple cards would have to be the Paper Butterfly Accents and I used one of the butterfly die cuts for my focal image for my design. I added soft color using a Blending Brush to customize it to coordinate with the designer series paper background. Which reminds me, the background strips feature a Sneak Peek of a new product from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog. If you love soft, pretty paper designs in pastel colors, you will love the new Beautiful Bokeh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper from the new Beautiful Bokeh Suite Collection. This pretty paper will be available to order starting January 7th, 2025.
Products Used:
Something Fancy stamp set (item #160416)
Something Fancy Dies (item #160424)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183)
Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder (item #163414)
Beautiful Bokeh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #164607)*
Paper Butterfly Accents (item #162612)
Daffodil Delight Cardstock (item #119883)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Daffodil Delight Classic Ink Pad (item # 147094)
Glossy Dots Assortment (item #158827)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Blending Brushes (item #153611)
Measurements:
Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder
Large Circle die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper
3 Strips - 1" x 4 1/4"
Birthday cards are one of my favorite all occasion cards to create and I couldn't resist to creating a pretty Spring birthday design using Daffodil Delight. When I think of Spring, I think of butterflies so it was an easy choice to use the Paper Butterfly Accents for my focal design. Using a Blending Brush, I gently applied Daffodil Delight Classic ink to the butterfly die cut to build up soft color. I attached the butterfly die cut to the center of the large circle die cut to give it stability. I added some texture to the background using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and created a fun background with strips of the new Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Something Fancy stamp set with Daffodil Delight Classic ink onto the sentiment label die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies. I attached both the sentiment label and the focal circle to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up and add dimension to the design. To complete the card design, I added several Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots for a touch of bling. I love how well this card design showcases the versatility of Daffodil Delight with a variety of products.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to get creative for the New Year and explore the beautiful options that Daffodil Delight has to offer. With the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and 2025 Sale-a-bration set to launch on January 7th, 2025, there will be wonderful new products to explore to help spark your creativity.

It's hard to believe, but we have finally reached Week 50 of the Monochromatic Color Challenge for 2024. This has been such an amazing journey and I am excited to share with you the card I created with Highland Heather, the featured color for Week 50.
This beautiful purple has a soothing feeling to it and I wanted to create a pretty card design featuring the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. I love this wonderful layout and how the strips of designer series paper frame the heat embossed sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set. This card design is simple to create, yet it has a wonderful Wow feel to it.
Products Used:
Layering Leaves stamp set (item #161277)

Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165679)
Purple Fine Shimmer Gems (item #162611)
Measurements:
Highland Heather Cardstock

Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
2 Panels - 2 7/8" x 7/8"
2 Panels - 7/8" x 4 1/8"
This beautiful card design is all about the layout and once you have your strips cut, it really is a matter of assembling them to create the frame for the focal sentiment panel. This card design is a great way to use up strips of designer series paper. I chose to heat emboss the sentiment from the Layering Leaves stamp set with White embossing powder to make it pop and I added several of the smaller floral images to coordinate with the floral design in the designer series paper. For a touch of bling, I added several of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to complete this lovely clean and simple card design.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 49 - Pool Party

We are coming to the end of the year and it's time for Week 49 of the Crafty Collaboration's Monochromatic Color Challenge. This week we are showcasing Pool Party and I love this pretty, soft blue for so many reasons. It is such a versatile color and works well for all seasons but especially at this time of the year.
For today's card design, I wanted to create this sweet holiday card featuring the Sweetest Star Bundle from the September-December 2024 Mini Catalog. I love the non-traditional color combination for this card design and the tone on tone stripe of the designer series paper adds wonderful texture to the card front background. I love using punch bundles to create clean and simple card designs and this bundle has so many wonderful options to help you create your own beautiful Christmas cards.

With the combination of images and coordinating sentiments, you have a wonderful range of options to explore to come up with your own stack of cards for the holidays. I chose to use the striped Pool Party Designer Series Paper for the card front background and I used Stampin' Blends Markers to bring Mrs Claus to life and help make her pop. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Pool Party Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I attached both the Mrs Claus and sentiment label with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up. To complete the card design, I added several of the Adhesive Backed Snowflakes to the card front and added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each snowflake for extra sparkle.
