SBTD October Blog Hop Leaves

Welcome to SBTD's October Blog Hop as we share projects created using our theme of Leaves. Whether you are celebrating Fall like we are here in the U.S. or Spring like they are in the Southern Hemisphere, it is fun to experiment with different color combinations to reflect the seasons. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we share our creative ideas to help inspire you.
I love the colors of Fall so I decided to focus on them for my card design. For the card base, I used the Gold Foil Edge card base with matching envelope (item 147901 set of 20 cards & envelopes) and added a layer of Cajun Craze as a matte to the focal layer.
Using a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I used the large leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set (item #150589) from the 2019 Annual Catalog to emboss two of the corners using Gold Embossing powder. I then embossed the other two corners with the leaf image from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (item #143726) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog using the Copper Embossing powder.
To color the leaves, I used the Watercolor Pencils (item #141709) and Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 (item #149014). I blended the colors together using a Blender Pen to give them a smooth watercolor look. The leaves were colored with a mix of Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler. The background for the leaves was created using the Coastal Cabana Watercolor Pencil and I smoothed it out using the Blender Pen to give it a watercolor look.
The sentiment was created by heat embossing the sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto a scrap of Cajun Craze cardstock. I punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) and attached it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I added two of the Gold Metallic Pearls (item #146282) to embellish the sentiment label to finish off the card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help provide you with some ideas to help you create your own Fall projects. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop Christmas

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop as we share Christmas project ideas to help inspire you. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we feature fun projects to help you get ready for the holidays.
My Christmas card design features the Lots of Cheer stamp set (item #149503 from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog) for a fun and cheerful holiday card. I chose to use Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Whisper White cardstock. I attached a strip of the Blueberry Bushel Gingham paper from the 2018-2020 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack (item #149618) To the Whisper White cardstock and added a piece of Blueberry Bushel 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (item #146950) over the seam.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Lots of Cheer stamp set with Silver embossing powder and also the snowflakes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (item #143726) to add an elegant touch to the card design. Using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Marker (item #144039), I colored two Basic Rhinestones and added them to the center of the snowflakes for a little bling.
For the focal panel, I stamped the snowman image using Memento Tuxedo Black in and colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. I die cut the rectangle using the Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #148551) and added it to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love the pop of color that the snowman's accessories add to this card design and how pretty the Blueberry Bushel looks with the Whisper White. It is a fun design that is suitable for everyone and is sure to bring a smile to whoever receives it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my Christmas card design helps inspire you to create your own fun projects for the holidays. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

SBTD October Blog Hop Color Challenge

It's time for the SBTD (aka Stampers By The Dozen) October Blog Hop and this month we have a color challenge to share with you. We have been challenged to create a project using Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Pool Party and I just love these colors together. You may have just visited Susan's blog or perhaps you are starting out here with me. I hope that you enjoy the projects we have to share with you today.
For me, these colors make me think of Fall, so I decided to create a clean and simple Fall card design using products from Stampin' Up!'s 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful bright colors and chose to use the Seasonal Layers Thinlets dies (item #143751) to die cut leaves in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron cardstock with the smaller leaf die. I used the detailed larger leaf die to die cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the base was die cut using Poppy Parade cardstock to create the larger leaf.

I chose So Saffron cardstock to create the card base and added a layer of  Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The next layer was created using Pool Party cardstock that I embossed using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #143706) to add texture.
The sentiment, from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (item #143726), has been heat embossed with Copper embossing powder onto So Saffron cardstock and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch and layered with a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock punched out with the same punch.

For a touch of bling, I colored two of the larger Basic Rhinestones with the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker, to embellish the sentiment. I also colored each of the leaves with Clear Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.

This card design works for many occasions and by changing the sentiment you could use it for a birthday or thank you card. I love the way the colors work together to create a beautiful Fall card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you enjoyed my project and I hope it helps inspire you to try this color combination for your own creations.
