Kylie's Demonstrator Training May Blog Hop

It's that time of the month when we hop along with Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop and share our creative projects to inspire you all. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators brought together by a common goal to strengthen our businesses by sharing what we love and supporting each other through knowledge and creativity. I hope that you enjoy all of the amazing projects we have to share with you this month.
Today I thought I would share with you a clean and simple Graduation card design featuring the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #146277) combined with one of my staple sentiment stamp sets, Itty Bitty Greetings (item #146667). The gold shimmer of the designer series paper really adds a Wow factor to this card that is perfect for celebrating a milestone event. I love the way it pops against the Basic Black cardstock card base.
For the focal point of the card, I die cut one of the large scallop circles from Basic Black cardstock and one of the circles from Whisper White cardstock using the Layering Circles Framelits die (item #141705). I heat embossed the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set using Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the designer series paper.
To create the Graduation cap, I used the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) to punch out a shape from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and then I reinserted it into the punch and punched again to create the diamond shape. I attached the cap to the Whisper White circle with Stampin' Dimensionals and attached a small tassel created with a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine (item #124262) that I attached with a Mini Glue Dot. To finish off the cap, I added a Gold Metallic Pearl next to the tassel.
To assemble the card, I attached the designer series paper layer to the card base with Snail Adhesive and then added a loop of Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots to the card front. Next, I layered the circle dies on top of the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals to complete the card design.
This card design is perfect for male or female graduates and is easy to duplicate with these simple supplies. The Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper is wonderful for graduations and there a variety of patterns that you can choose from for this special occasion. This beautiful paper is retiring and available only while supplies last, so make sure you place your order before it sells out. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,
