What's New at SU Blog Hop Masculine

It's time to hop with the What's New at SU Blog Hop and this month our theme is Masculine cards for the men in our lives. With events like Father's Day and Graduation just around the corner, I hope that our projects will help to inspire you to create your own creations for the special guys in your life.
For my card design, I chose to use the Geared Up Garage Bundle (item #150610) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I love the versatility of this bundle and the stamps and dies are wonderful for creating fun card designs. For the background, I chose one of the pattern papers from the Best Route Designer Series Paper (item #146897) available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog as the designs are perfect for masculine projects. Sadly, this beautiful paper is retiring, so I would suggest ordering it soon before it disappears.
I chose to use Gray Granite cardstock for the card base as a nice contrast with the Blueberry Bushel designer series paper. Th street design on the paper works great with the car image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set (item #148590) and I was able to die cut it using the coordinating die from the Garage Gear Dies (item #148521). Did you know that if you order this stamp set and coordinating dies as a bundle you can save 10%? This bundle price ends June 3rd, 2019 if you wish to take advantage of the savings.
The car image was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the car image with Stampin' Blends Markers and attached it to the card front with Snail Adhesive. The sentiment was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and I heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I punched out the sentiment using the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) and then created a matte from Real Red cardstock using the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668). I attached the label to the card front using the Stampin' Dimensionals. I added Silver Metallic Pearls to embellish the sentiment label.
Using several of the dies from the Garage Gears Dies, I die cut the gears from Silver Foil and distressed them using a tissue and Stazon Jet Black ink, to create a worn, dirty look. I attached them to the card front with Snail Adhesive.
This clean and simple masculine card design would work great for a variety of occasions and for a wide range of ages. I like the idea of using it as a non-traditional Graduation card or teenage birthday but it would also make a great Father's Day card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps provide you with inspiration. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
