Kylie's Demonstrator Training May Blog Hop

It's that time of the month when we hop along with Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop and share our creative projects to inspire you all. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators brought together by a common goal to strengthen our businesses by sharing what we love and supporting each other through knowledge and creativity. I hope that you enjoy all of the amazing projects we have to share with you this month.
Today I thought I would share with you a clean and simple Graduation card design featuring the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #146277) combined with one of my staple sentiment stamp sets, Itty Bitty Greetings (item #146667). The gold shimmer of the designer series paper really adds a Wow factor to this card that is perfect for celebrating a milestone event. I love the way it pops against the Basic Black cardstock card base.
For the focal point of the card, I die cut one of the large scallop circles from Basic Black cardstock and one of the circles from Whisper White cardstock using the Layering Circles Framelits die (item #141705). I heat embossed the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set using Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the designer series paper.
To create the Graduation cap, I used the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) to punch out a shape from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and then I reinserted it into the punch and punched again to create the diamond shape. I attached the cap to the Whisper White circle with Stampin' Dimensionals and attached a small tassel created with a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine (item #124262) that I attached with a Mini Glue Dot. To finish off the cap, I added a Gold Metallic Pearl next to the tassel.
To assemble the card, I attached the designer series paper layer to the card base with Snail Adhesive and then added a loop of Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots to the card front. Next, I layered the circle dies on top of the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals to complete the card design.
This card design is perfect for male or female graduates and is easy to duplicate with these simple supplies. The Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper is wonderful for graduations and there a variety of patterns that you can choose from for this special occasion. This beautiful paper is retiring and available only while supplies last, so make sure you place your order before it sells out. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Until Next Time

SBTD April Birthday Cards Blog Hop

Welcome to the SBTD April Blog Hop as we explore creating Birthday cards as this month's theme. Everyone has a birthday and it is a wonderful feeling to get a card on your special day, but it's even better when it is a hand stamped card from someone you love. I hope that the cards we share today will help give you ideas to create your own beautiful birthday cards.
There is something about Silver and Gold that just makes a birthday card extra special. I chose to use the amazing Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #146277) for the background of my card design. The small polka dots reminds me of confetti and works perfectly for all ages.
Believe it or not, this card has not stamping. The sentiment has been created using the Happy Birthday Thinlet die (item #143700) and die cut it from Gold Glimmer Paper (item #146958) to add a little extra sparkle to this special occasion card design.
To embellish the card, I used the smaller balloon from the Balloon Bouquet Punch (item #140609) and punched out a small balloon from Silver Foil and another from Basic Black cardstock. I used Silver & Whisper White Baker's Twine (item #145569) to create the strings for both balloons.
This is a very simple card design but the bling of the Gold and Silver really turns it into a Wow birthday card. I love that the Basic Black card base makes the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper layer pop. Using Designer Series Paper as the focal point of your design is a fun way to create clean and simple card with minimal supplies. Many of the supplies used in today's card design are retiring and are available while supplies last. If you would like to order any of these products, I would recommend ordering soon to avoid disappointment.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you have enjoyed my card and I hope that it inspires you to create your own birthday cards for the people you love. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Poppin' Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. This month we are featuring the Poppin' Birthday March Paper Pumpkin kit as we create our alternative ideas to share with you all. You may have just visited Janey's blog or perhaps you are starting here with me. I hope that you will enjoy the projects we have to share with you today.
One of my favorite things about this kit is the stamp set. I just love the mix of sentiments and images for creating fun celebration cards. Rather than using the colorful palette used in the Poppin' Birthday kit, I chose to use the more modern designs and color scheme featured in the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #146277). I also used my favorite Gold Edge cards & envelopes (item #147901) that carried over from the 2018 Holiday Catalog. I just love how versatile they are.
Heat embossing with metallic embossing powders is a great way to step up a card design and I chose to use Gold embossing for the sentiment from the stamp set in the kit onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the 2" Circle Punch (item #133782). I embellished the circle using Silver embossing powder and the streamers stamp image to add a little contrast to the gold and black theme. To create the party hat, I heat embossed the image from the stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut the image. I attached the hat to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To frame the sentiment, I punched out a piece of Gold Foil using the Starburst Punch (item #143717). To finish off the card design, I added a piece of Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon (item #144129). I just love the bold look of this card design and I think it would be perfect as a special occasion or even as a masculine card.
