The Color Your Season promotion features four fabulous new products that are available for a limited time only. The Blended Seasons stamp set and Stitched Seasons Framelits dies coordinate beautifully to create amazing projects all through the year. When you order these two products as a bundle, you save 10%. The new Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 (item #149014) features 10 beautiful new colors that you will love to color your projects.
Today I am sharing two very different cards to showcase the versatility of these products. As you can see, they provide so many options to help you come up with ideas for any season.
My first card design is perfect for a Spring/Summer occasion and the beautiful floral image is easy to color with the Watercolor Pencils and I blended the with a Blender Pen to create a softer watercolor look. The card base was created with Granny Apple Green and I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed using the Tufted Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder for a quilted look. The floral design was die cut using the middle size framelit from the Stitched Seasons Framelits dies and I created a matte from Blueberry Bushel cardstock using the largest framelit die. The leaves were die cut from Granny Apple Green with one of the dies from the framelits set.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and I heat embossed it in Silver embossing powder onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the Classic Label Punch. I punched another shape from Silver Foil and cut it in half to layer behind the Whisper White cardstock. I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card front.
My second card design is a beautiful Christmas card that uses all three new products in addition to the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (item #146921). This time I used the middle and smallest framelit dies for the focal point and I stamped the sentiment and images from the Blended Seasons stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I colored the leaves and holly berries with the watercolor pencils and used a Blender Pen to create the soft watercolor look. I layered it onto the matte layer of Shaded Spruce cardstock that I embossed using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #143704).
The card base was created using Shaded Spruce cardstock, one of our beautiful new colors and I layered a piece of the designer series paper from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper pack. The accents were die cut from Gold Foil using one of the smaller thinlets from the die set.
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today and I hope they inspire you to explore all the wonderful possibilities with these fabulous new products. DeleteI especially love the Christmas design with the designer series paper. I tried a Christmas one last week at coffee and card - I was put in my place with the comment that it was FAR too ealry to make Christmas cards! For a cardmaker, it's never too early.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Thank you Jenny. It's never too early for Christmas cards. I would rather get them done early and be able to enjoy the holiday season than be stressed out trying to get it all done during the season. :)
