Colour Combo August Blog Hop

It's time for the Colour Combo August Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to use Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot. You may have just visited Emma's blog or perhaps you are starting your blog hop journey here. I hope that you enjoy the wonderful projects that we have to share with you this month from around the world.

When I saw this month's color combination, it made me think of Fall with the warm rich colors of Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot. I decided to use the Blended Seasons Bundle to create my card design with the amazing variety of dies in the Stitched Seasons Framelits dies. I used the leaf thinlet die to die cut two leaves from Gold Glimmer paper as accents. Using the labels dies, I die cut a small label from Pool Party cardstock and a medium label from Merry Merlot cardstock. I heat embossed the Thank You sentiment from the Blended Seasons stamp set with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the leaves.

I chose Pool Party cardstock for the card base to provide a nice contrast with the Blackberry Bliss cardstock layer that I embossed using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder (item #143704). I added a piece of Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144146) around the center of the Blackberry Bliss cardstock layer. To assemble the card, I attached the Pool Party label to the Merry Merlot label with Snail adhesive and then used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it to the card front, centering it over the ribbon. The Gold Glimmer Leaves were attached on opposite corners of the card front to finish off the card design.

I really liked the way the colors all came together to create this non-Traditional Fall themed card and I love the way the gold elements enhanced the card design. The Blended Seasons Bundle features amazing products to create projects for all seasons and has become my new go to bundle. This bundle is only available during the month of August or until supplies last, so now is the time to order these amazing products. Plus, when you order the bundle, you save 10%.

I hope you enjoyed my card design today. Now it's time to visit Lisa's blog and see what she has created with this month's color combination. Just click the Next link below to visit her blog.
