ICS January Blog Hop Sale-a-bration

Every year during Sale-a-bration, there is one stamp set that I fall in love with and this year it is the Darling Donkeys stamp set (item #155264). I love the cute images and sweet sentiments that are perfect for making fun cards for a variety of occasions. This is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward that you can earn with a qualifying US$50 order during Sale-a-bration. For my birthday card design, I decided to pair it with the Kangaroo & Company Bundle (item #156269) in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. The small accessory images in this bundle work beautifully with the Darling Donkeys stamp set.

This fun card design is a great example of how you can mix and match products in the January-June 2021 Catalog with exclusive Free products you can earn from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. The colors I chose are soft and pretty and I love how Seaside Spray looks when used to color the donkey image. The variety of images in the Kangaroo & Company Bundle make it easy decorate this card design and create a cute birthday card. The Seaside Spray Designer Series Paper makes a wonderful background for this card and I love the texture that it adds to the design. I can't wait to play with these products more and see what I can come up with for other occasions.

Colour Combo January Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo January Blog Hop as we start off the New Year with a fun new color combination. This month we have been challenged to create our project with Bumblebee, Melon Mambo and Pool Party. You will have the opportunity to visit talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas.

For this month's color combination, I decided to use the new Snailed It Bundle (item #156255) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I just love the cute images in this stamp set and the coordinating dies make it so easy to die cut and create fun cards with this bundle. I also used the Layering Circles Dies (item #151770), one of my favorites from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This clean and simple card design is bright and cheerful and a great way to brighten someone's day.

This fun card design is simple to create and can be used for a variety of occasions. I stamped the snail image onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it with the coordinating die from the Snail Dies. I colored in the image using the Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack for the shell, Light Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends Marker for the small heart on the envelope and the Bumblebee Stampin' Write Marker from the 2020-2022 Stampin' Write Markers Assortment for the body. I stamped the Hello sentiment onto the Whisper White cardstock circle with Bumblebee Classic ink and added the snail die cut with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon around the center of the Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper Layer and added the focal image on top with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added a small bow tied with the Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon next to the edge of the circle and on top of the ribbon, using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. The bright, cheerful color combination and cute images are perfect for creating a happy, uplifting card design.

Stamping INKspirations January Blog Hop Something New

Welcome to the first Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop and we are starting January off with the theme of Something New. You will be visiting with creative people from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get the New Year off to a great start.

With the start of the New Year, I have been enjoying playing with some of the new products from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog to help spark my creativity. I chose to use the Enjoy The Moment stamp set and combined it with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (item #153200) to add some texture and a vintage feel to the design. I love to heat emboss, so I incorporated that technique by embossing the focal image with Gold embossing powder to make it pop against the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The color combination of Rich Razzleberry, Gray Granite and Very Vanilla with a touch of Gold is also something new for me and I love how these colors work together.

This clean and simple card design has an elegant feel to it and I love the organic theme of the Enjoy The Moment stamp set. I chose one of the large images from this stamp set to heat emboss as the focal image onto the Rich Razzleberry cardstock oval. The Gray Granite cardstock oval provides a beautiful frame for this image and helps it to pop against the card background. The Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder adds wonderful texture to this card and the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon adds an elegant touch. For the sentiment, I used Gray Granite Classic ink and stamped off the small image once before stamping it on the Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on top of the stamped image using Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink and punched it out using the 1 1/2" Circle Punch. I attached the focal image to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added the sentiment circle by overlapping one side over the focal image and attaching a Stampin' Dimensional to the back of the other side to have it level with the focal image. I decided not to add any bling to this card as I felt that the Gold embossing and the Gold detail on the ribbon were perfect for stepping up this design.

One of my favorite things about card making is that I can customize my cards to suit the person who is receiving it. There is nothing more frustrating for me than to go to a store to buy a card and not be able to find the card I want. By making my own cards, I also get to enjoy some Creative Therapy time to relax and unwind. Today's card design is a clean and simple card design that is fun and fresh. I just love this beautiful Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (item #155222), which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward, that you can earn Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. This card design is simple to create and easy to customize to suit a variety of occasions. I love that the Night of Navy cardstock makes the colors of the designer series paper pop. I heat embossed the sentiment from the You Are Amazing stamp set with White Embossing Powder onto the Night of Navy sentiment label and I colored the embossed words using Stampin' Blends Markers, Seaside Spray for the Happy and Rococo Rose for the Birthday, to coordinate with the designer series paper. I like that the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon adds a softness to the card without overpowering it and the small Basic Rhinestones add a touch of bling to finish it off. I hope that the person who receives this card loves it as much as I loved creating it.

GSF January Blog Hop Meant To Be

Welcome to a New Year of hopping with the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop and this month our theme is Meant To Be. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects to help inspire you.

For my card design today, I decided to use the beautiful new Always In My Heart Bundle (item #156194) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I love hearts and I love detailed dies, so creating this card with this new bundle was a lot of fun. The detailed dies layer beautifully and I used one of the dies from the Be Mine Stitched Dies (item #151814) to create the heart for the sentiment in this design. For this card, I chose to use Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam with a touch of Gold to step up it up.

This card design showcases the variety of dies available in the Floral Hearts Dies, which is a part of the Always In My Heart Bundle. I love that the small detailed flowers match up with the flowers on the detailed floral heart and it gave me the ability to add color and texture to the design. The background layer has been embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add subtle texture to the design. The sentiment from the Always In My Heart stamp set was heat embossed onto a Petal Pink heart that was die cut using one of the heart dies from the Be Mine Stitched Dies. I was so happy that this die fit inside the floral heart die cut in a way that allowed the background to create a border around it. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the heart to add more dimension to the design and embellished it with three of the small hearts die cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I popped the middle heart up with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional and added Gold Metallic Pearls to the hearts for a touch of bling. This card design is a wonderful way to show someone you care and brighten their day.
