Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 46 - Lemon Lime Twist

Welcome to Week 46 of the Monochromatic Color Challenge as we showcase Lemon Lime Twist. This chameleon like color is so versatile and works well for so many occasions. I love that it is the perfect blend of yellow and green that can add a fresh, fun look to your projects.
For my card design today, I decided to create a fun snowman themed card with a difference. Can you imagine a snowman chilling on the beach with his parrot buddy? Of course, I had to give him a cool Hawaiian shirt and hat to help keep the sun off and I had fun using the paper piecing technique to color and texture. Paper piecing is a wonderful way to add color to an image without actually having to color, so if you are not a fan of coloring, maybe this technique is for you? I stamped the images onto two different patterns of Lemon Lime Twist Designer Series Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I fussy cut them out to add to my snowman. I think he is a sharp dressed snowman, don't you?
Products Used:

Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154897)
Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Large Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies
Lemon Lime Twist Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
Hat stamped and fussy cut
Shirt stamped and fussy cut
I really wanted to go with the fun Hawaii tropical beach theme for my card and the patterns in the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack were a perfect fit. I used the same design for the card front as I did for the shirt and I colored the flowers on the shirt with the Dark Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends Marker to add to the tropical feel. The hat image was stamped on the polka dot pattern and I thought it gave it an almost camo feel to the hat. I love the look of the deckled edges for the focal circle and the sentiment label and I love how they pop against the Lemon Lime Twist card front. To complete the card design, I added two of the small Lemon Lime Twist Gems from the Tinsel Gems Four Pack for a touch of bling. Imagine sending this card to someone during the Winter to help warm their heart and brighten their day.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my sweet snowman card will inspire you to explore creating your own fun projects for the holidays and beyond using Lemon Lime Twist.

Colour Combo October Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo October Blog Hop as we explore the color combination of Coastal Cabana, Basic Gray and Real Red. We have been challenged to create a project using this color combination to help provide you with ideas and projects to inspire you to get creative.
For this month's color challenge, I wanted to create something fun and cheerful. I decided to use the Clever Cats stamp set to create an non-Halloween card and paired it with the Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. I used the Layering Circles Dies to create the focal image and the Label Me Fancy Punch for the sentiment. This clean and simple card design is easy to create is sure to brighten someone's day.
Products Used:
Clever Cats stamp set (item #156490)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Floral Heart Dies (item #154306)
Label Me Fancy Punch (item #151297)
Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #155228)
Real Red Cardstock (item #102482)
Basic Gray Cardstock (item #121044)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad (item #149165)
Brights Stampin' Write Marker Assortment (item #147157)
Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack (item #152466)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Real Red Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Small hearts die cut with the Floral Heart Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Focal circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
Sentiment Label punched out with Label Me Fancy Punche
Basic Gray Cardstock
Scalloped Circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
Label punched out with the Label Me Fancy Punch
and then cut label in half
Coastal Cabana Designer Series Paper
Background Layer - 5" x 3 3/4"
This cute card is simple to create and is a great way to use the Clever Cats stamp set for a non-Halloween themed card. I love how these colors work together and the diagonal plaid background makes for a fun background. I stamped the cat image and the sentiment with Basic Gray Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and I colored the box with the Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write Marker. I cut the Basic Gray label in half and attached it behind the sentiment label to create a frame. I attached a piece of Real Red Trim around the bottom of the card front and added the sentiment label over the top with Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the Basic White focal circle to the Basic Gray Scalloped Circle and attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. To decorate the card, I die cut a row of Real Red hearts with the Floral Heart Dies and attached three of them to the focal circle and two of the hearts on either side of the sentiment.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore creating your own projects with this color combination. There are so many wonderful products to choose from to create fun, colorful cards.

New At SU April Blog Hop Techniques With 2020-2021 Annual Catalog Retiring Stamp Sets

Welcome to the New At SU April Blog Hop as we say goodbye to our favorite retiring products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share wonderful techniques to help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects.
Today I am sharing a version of the Scrappy Strip technique using a variety of strips of designer series paper in shades of purple to create a fun background. This technique is a great way to use up your scraps that you may have laying around, left over from other projects. I paired this technique with a retiring favorite, the Dandelion Wishes stamp set (item #151345). The wonderful thing about this technique is that you can use strips of any size and any color combination to create unique and fun designs.
Products Used:
Dandelion Wishes stamp set (item #151345) - Retiring
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323) - Retiring
Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item $152487) - Retiring
Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153072) - Retiring
2019-2021 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153071) - Retiring
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock (item #146987)
Highland Heather Cardstock (item #146986)
Purple Posy Cardstock (Retired)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
White Embossing Powder (item #109132) - Retiring
Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (item #151326)
Basic Pearl Jewels (item #144219)
Measurements:
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Strip Background - 5" x 3 3/4" (Trimmed down to 5" x 3 5/8")
Stitched Circle die cut with Stitched Shapes Dies
Purple Posy Cardstock
Background Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Designer Series Paper Strips - Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Purple Posy
3/4" x 3 1/2" - 2 strips of each color
I love the strong contrast of colors created by this color combination and it was a fun way to use up some left over scraps I had. I arranged the strips onto the Gorgeous Grape cardstock layer before adhering them to work out the spacing. Once I adhered all the strips down, I trimmed the layer to 5" x 3 5/8" to create an even border around the strip design. The sentiment and image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set look amazing in White embossing against the Gorgeous Grape cardstock and really stands out as a focal point for the card design. I added the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Basic Pearls to step up the design and add a touch of bling. This design layout can be created in a variety of colors and you can change up the patterns or use cardstock to create the strips.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my fun scrappy strip technique will help inspire you to explore creating your own fun projects. It is a wonderful way to use up your paper scraps to create beautiful backgrounds.

Colour Combo January Blog Hop

Welcome to the Colour Combo January Blog Hop as we start off the New Year with a fun new color combination. This month we have been challenged to create our project with Bumblebee, Melon Mambo and Pool Party. You will have the opportunity to visit talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas.
For this month's color combination, I decided to use the new Snailed It Bundle (item #156255) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I just love the cute images in this stamp set and the coordinating dies make it so easy to die cut and create fun cards with this bundle. I also used the Layering Circles Dies (item #151770), one of my favorites from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This clean and simple card design is bright and cheerful and a great way to brighten someone's day.
Products Used:
Snailed It Bundle (item #156255)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152487)
Pool Party Cardstock (item #122924)
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (item #132708)
Bumblebee Classic Ink Pad (item #153116)
Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154894)
Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #153112)
2020-2022 Stampin' Write Marker Assortment (item #153125)
Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon (item #153622)
Measurements:
Pool Party Cardstock
- Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
- For Scalloped Circle die cut with Layering Circles Dies
Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
White Cardstock
- For Circle die cut with Layering Circles Dies
- For stamped image die cut with Snail Dies
This fun card design is simple to create and can be used for a variety of occasions. I stamped the snail image onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it with the coordinating die from the Snail Dies. I colored in the image using the Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack for the shell, Light Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends Marker for the small heart on the envelope and the Bumblebee Stampin' Write Marker from the 2020-2022 Stampin' Write Markers Assortment for the body. I stamped the Hello sentiment onto the Whisper White cardstock circle with Bumblebee Classic ink and added the snail die cut with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon around the center of the Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper Layer and added the focal image on top with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card design, I added a small bow tied with the Bumblebee 1/4" Ribbon next to the edge of the circle and on top of the ribbon, using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. The bright, cheerful color combination and cute images are perfect for creating a happy, uplifting card design.

We Create Brights Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Brights Blog Hop as we share projects created using colors from the Brights Collection. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we share our creations to help inspire you to try new colors to create your own fun projects.
My card design today features a stamp set that is not in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. It is a new stamp set that can be found in the Experience Creativity Brochure that was created by Stampin' Up! to help new stampers get started. That being said, this stamp set is perfect for stampers of all skill levels and I just love how the images and sentiments work to create wonderful clean and simple card designs. The Hoot Hoot Hooray Cling stamp set (item #149352) can be found on page 12 of the brochure and the images are great for coloring with watercolor pencils, Stampin' Write Markers and even Stampin' Blends Markers, which is what I chose for today's project.
I chose Flirty Flamingo cardstock for my card base and I added a strip of the beautiful gingham Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper from the Brights 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #149613) to a layer of Whisper White cardstock to create a pretty Summer card design. I die cut a Whisper White circle using the Layering Circle Dies (item #141705) and also die cut a scalloped circle from Daffodil Delight cardstock to create the matte for the focal design.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the Whisper White cardstock circle and colored the image using Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, and Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Markers. I also used the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Marker to color three of the larger Basic Pearls to embellish the card front.

I assembled the card layers with Snail Adhesive and added the circle focal point to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. The colored pearls add just a touch of bling to a very simple and fun card. I love that the colors in the Brights Collection are perfect for creating cheerful cards that are sure to brighten someone's day.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try creating your own projects using colors from the Brights Collection. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you with your creative needs.
