Stamping With Friends January Blog Hop What Is Old Is New Again

Happy Saturday everyone. It's time to hop along with the Stamping With Friends January Blog Hop with our theme of "What Is Old Is New Again". Our wonderful design team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you take projects that you have made in the past and recreate them with new products to come up with a fresh new card design. It's a great way to spark your creativity and help you get crafty for 2024.
For my "new" card design, I decided to CASE a card I created back in August using the Fractured Card technique. You can see the post for this project here. As you can see from the photo of my "old" card below, I chose to use a piece of the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper to create the design. The Basic Black cardstock framed the Fresh Freesia and White to create a very bold, dramatic card design.
For my "new" version of this card design, I chose to use one of the beautiful designs from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn Free with a qualifying $50 order. To create the contrast for my card, I chose to use Misty Moonlight cardstock, one of my favorite colors, to help frame the focal design and make it pop. In addition, I chose to use the new Perennial Postage Dies from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog to add some interest to the center die cut and the sentiment label. I love how soft and pretty this card looks and how different it is from the original card I created in August.

This pretty card design is simple to create and works for a variety of occasions. The Fractured card technique is a great way to step up a clean and simple card design to add that simply Wow factor and it is a great way to showcase beautiful designer series paper. When I die cut the focal image from the card front layer, I focused on the bird image in the design and tried to center the die to get the bird in the best position. I layered the die cut focal image onto a Misty Moonlight square that is slightly larger, to provide some stability and a slight border around the edge. I added this square to the center of the Basic White square using Stampin' Dimensionals and then added this square over the opening in the center of the card front layer to cover it. To create the "fracture" look, I added 1/4" strips of Misty Moonlight cardstock around the Basic White square, adhering them to the card front and then trimming the excess edges flush with the edges of the card front. I then added the card front to the Misty Moonlight card base, making sure to center it. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Inked & Tiled stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto Basic White cardstock and die cut it out with one of the Perennial Postage Dies. I also die cut one of these labels from Misty Moonlight cardstock and cut it half and attached it to the back of the sentiment label to create a mat layer. To finish off the design, I added several Misty Moonlight gems for a touch of bling. So, which card do you like better? The old or the new?

Ink. Stamp. Share. January Showcase Blog Hop

It's time for our first Ink. Stamp. Share. Showcase Blog Hop for 2024 and I can't wait to show you what new products I have been creating with recently. With the launch of the new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog and 2024 Sale-a-bration Catalog, there is so much to choose from. My fellow Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help get you creating in 2024.
I have a guilty obsession. I am addicted to designer series paper. Seriously, I cannot resist a pretty pack of paper. So I have been working on ways to cut up my designer series paper and create clean and simple cards with it before my ever growing stash overwhelms me. Can anyone else relate? For this pretty card design, I paired the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle with the beautiful Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward that you can earn free with a qualifying $50 order. The hardest part about creating with this pretty paper is deciding which side to use. I wanted to showcase the paper design as much as possible, so I chose to add a simple sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and added some simple embellishments to complete the design.
Products Used:
Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (item #162889)
Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (item #162977) Sale-a-bration Level 1 Reward
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Baker's Twine Three Color Pack (item #162759)
Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (item #158130)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple layout is easy to duplicate and would work well for any piece of designer series paper. It's a great way to create a bunch of cards for a variety of occasions to restock your card stash. I chose to use Misty Moonlight cardstock for the card base and sentiment label because I liked the way it made the card front pop. I heat embossed the sentiment onto the Misty Moonlight cardstock with White embossing powder and punched it out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I love the elongated shape of this punch which makes it perfect for so many sentiments for all occasions. To decorate the card front, I tied a simple bow with the Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine from the new Baker's Twine Three Color Pack that is a part of the new Lighter Than Air Suite in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. I love being able to mix and match different products to make the most of my supplies. I used a Mini Glue Dot to attach the bow to the top left corner of the sentiment label and then added two of the small Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bling. I added the sentiment to the center of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. This card design would work well for so many occasions and it is a wonderful way to bring joy to someone's life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to get creative and make your own beautiful projects to share with family and friends. During Sale-a-bration you can earn Free products with a qualifying order for even more creative possibilities.

Global Stamping Friends January Blog Hop New Year New Products

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends January Blog Hop and I am excited to share with you new products and ideas to help you get creative in 2024. With the holidays over for another year, I find myself focusing on all occasion cards like birthdays, thank you, thinking of you that I use throughout the year. The new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog is full of wonderful new products that are perfect for creating these cards and I look forward to sharing some of these with you today to help inspire you.
Today I thought I would share a card design created with one of the hidden gems in the new mini catalog. The new Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards and Envelopes are a wonderful option for creating beautiful cards for a variety of occasions, without the stress of having to create them from scratch. The card pack contains beautiful cards in both 3"x4" and 4"x6" and stickers that you can use to decorate the coordinating card bases to create your own unique designs. For my card design, I have used one of the 3"x4" cards along with several stickers to create the basic design. I then added a sentiment using the Sale-a-bration Level 1 Heartfelt Hellos stamp set, a little White Baker's Twine and some Brushed Brass Butterflies to complete the card. I love how easy this card was to create and the fact that I could personalize it using just a few simple supplies to create a card that was special and unique.
Products Used:
Heartfelt Hellos stamp set (item #162964) Sale-a-bration Level 1 Reward
Heartfelt Hexagon Punch (item #162888)

Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards and Envelopes
(item #162931)
Calypso Coral Cardstock (item #122925)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (item #155475)
Brushed Brass Butterflies (item #158136)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)

Calypso Coral Sweet Thoughts Card Base- 4 1/4" x 6 1/4"
Calypso Coral & White Floral Background Card - 3"x4"
Calypso Coral Cardstock
Sentiment Label punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
Calypso Coral is not a color that I use a lot of so this was a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and try new and different color combinations. The Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards provides a lot of different options and I finally chose to use a simple floral background layer to start my design. I added the floral sticker for my focal design and added it to the left side of the floral card. I wrapped a piece of White Baker's Twine around the bottom of the floral card twice and tied a bow in the center. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Heartfelt Hellos Sale-a-bration stamp set onto Calypso Coral cardstock using White embossing powder and then punched it out using the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch that can be found in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. I attached the floral card to the Calypso Coral card base with Stampin' Dimensionals and then attached the sentiment label towards the bottom right corner of the floral card, overlapping the White Baker's Twine, also using Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the design, I added the heart sticker below the sentiment label and several Brushed Brass Butterflies to the card front for a touch of bling. This card design could be used for a variety of occasions such as a birthday card, to help brighten someone's day.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help spark your creativity and help you create your own beautiful cards to send to family and friends. The New Year is a great time to try new things and step outside your comfort zone. So for 2024, I will be participating in the Crafty Collaborations weekly Monochromatic Insta Hop, to help get creative using Stampin' Up!'s amazing color coordinated products. I hope that my new journey on this color challenge will help inspire you to join and explore Stampin' Up!'s beautiful colors.
Copper Clay is not a color that I use very often so it I was trying to come up with a card design, I looked through the stamp sets that I had on hand to see what would work well with this color. With the launch of the new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, I had just recently received an order of new products and one of them was the Cutest Cows Bundle. The images in this stamp set are so adorable and I just new that it would be perfect for this color challenge. As you can see from my finished card, I had fun combining quite a few products to create my design. These products include cardstock, designer series paper, textured ribbon, dots, Classic ink and Stampin' Blends Markers.

I love when this time of year when not only do we have a new mini catalog full of new products to play with, but we also have the opportunity to earn Free products with qualifying orders for Sale-a-bration. For my card design, I wanted to show how you can take existing products from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, which you may have in your crafting supplies, and combine them with new products from the new mini catalog. To me, Copper Clay is this wonderful, rich reddish brown color and I thought it would be a perfect color for a cow. I used the Light Copper Clay Stampin' Blends Marker to color the spots and the muzzle of the cow and Light Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker for the hooves. I added a touch of Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to the inside of the ears. I punched out the body and the head of the cow and added them to the Basic White cardstock circle, using a Stampin' Dimensional to pop up the head. To add some texture, I used the Softly Sophisticated 3D embossing folder (part of the Softly Sophisticated Bundle Level 2 Sale-a-bration Reward) to emboss the strip of cardstock and then added a piece of textured ribbon around the center of the strip before adding it to the polka dot designer series paper background. I attached the focal image with Stampin' Dimensionals, towards the left side of the strip. For the sentiment label, I used the Bee Builder Punch to create a word bubble (the body of the bee is perfect for this) and stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink. I attached the sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals so that it appears as though the cow is speaking. To complete the card design, I added several of the Copper Clay Dots for a little sparkle.
For the inside layer of the card, I stamped the milk cans along the bottom of the Basic White cardstock layer, using Copper Clay Classic ink and lightly blended the lines to add soft color to the images using a Blend Pen. I stamped the sentiments in the center of the panel with Tuxedo Black ink. So there you have it. My cute card design featuring Copper Clay. What do you think? Did I do a good job showcasing this color? Let me know in the comments.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to step outside your comfort zone and explore using Stampin' Up! colors that you might not normally use. Don't forget to check out the new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog to see all the amazing new products and take advantage of Sale-a-bration to earn Free products with your qualifying orders. We Create January Blog Hop New Year New Look

Happy 2024! I am excited to celebrate the New Year with a fun new project I have created for the We Create January Blog Hop as we showcase our theme, "New Year, New Look". With the new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog and 2024 Sale-a-bration Catalog due to launch on January 4th, this is a perfect opportunity for me to share with you some Sneak Peeks of brand new products to help you get excited to create in the New Year.
Now that the holidays are over, it's time to focus on creating cards for the other special occasions we celebrate throughout the year. I wanted to create a pretty birthday card using the new Filled With Happiness stamp set and I paired it with one of the beautiful new Sale-a-bration products, the Stippled Softly Designer Series Paper, which you can earn Free with a qualifying order. I love that this new stamp set coordinates with the Modern Oval Punch, which I am happy to say, is carrying over from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. To help step up this clean and simple card design, I chose to use heat embossing to make the sentiment pop and Watercolor Pencils to color in the focal image. I decided to skip the embellishments for this design and instead added some Clear Wink of Stella to the bird, leaves and berries for a touch of shimmer.

To start off the New Year, I thought I would share how to create a clean and simple card design that you can easily duplicate to personalize your cards as well as use other images from the Filled With Happiness stamp set to create designs for other occasions. The Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper has so many beautiful designs that will provide you with a wide variety of options to help you create so many pretty cards. I used a piece of one of these designs for my card front and I love how the Lost Lagoon card base makes this paper pop. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image onto the Lost Lagoon cardstock using White embossing powder to coordinate with the card design. For the focal image, I stamped the image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Lost Lagoon Classic ink and then I punched out the center image using the Modern Oval Punch. To add a touch of color, I used the Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Blue Watercolor Pencils to color the image and then gently blended with a Blender Pen to smooth out the coloring. To add a touch of shimmer, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the bird, leaves and berries and then added the oval to the center of the sentiment panel using Stampin' Dimensionals. This pretty card is easy to assemble and fun to create. I hope this design helps inspire you to create your own beautiful designs.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help you get excited to start creating your own beautiful cards to send to the people you love this year.
