Stamping Inkspirations December Blog Hop The Sounds Of Christmas

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations December Blog Hop as we showcase projects with this month's theme, The Sounds of Christmas. You will be visiting with creative crafters from around the world as they share their wonderful projects and ideas to help inspire you for the holidays.
This month's theme was so much fun and had me singing more than one Christmas carol as I designed my card for this blog hop. The Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set has a wonderful variety of sentiments with lines from different Christmas carols and the hardest part was choosing which one I wanted to use. In the end, I went with two sentiments that went together and I partnered them with the Picture This Dies to create the windows to frame the song lyrics. I also used the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to the card and I love the way the musical notes tie in with this theme. For my color palette, I went with more traditional colors including Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Basic White and Gold. To create the holly, I used the Merriest Moments Bundle with Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Classic ink. I love the clean and simple look of this design with the touch of elegance created with the Gold accents.

For my card design, I wanted the sentiments to read like you would sing in the song "Deck The Halls". So I decided to use the Picture This Dies to create the openings for the sentiments. I embossed the Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer first with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder and then die cut the openings with the rectangle Picture This Die. I lined up the Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer over the top of the Basic White cardstock layer and used a pencil to mark where the openings would be to line up the sentiments. I stamped the sentiment image with Versamark ink onto the Basic White cardstock at the top and bottom area where it would line up with the openings. I heat embossed the sentiments with Gold embossing powder. I also heat embossed the second sentiment onto the Basic White cardstock circle with Gold embossing powder and layered it onto the Gold Foil circle. I attached the Cherry Cobbler layer to the Basic White cardstock layer with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that it lined up over the embossed sentiments. I then attached this layer to the Shaded Spruce card base with adhesive. For the Holly leaves and berries, I stamped two leaves with Shaded Spruce Classic ink and one of the berry cluster with Cherry Cobbler Classic ink onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut them with the coordinating dies, all from the Merriest Moments Bundle. I attached the circle sentiment label to the center of the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and added the leaves and berries to embellish the top left side of the sentiment circle. I colored the leaves and berries with Clear Wink of Stella to add a touch of shimmer. To finish off the card design, I added some Gilded Gems to the Cherry Cobbler layer for a touch of bling.

Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights November 2021

Welcome to Kylie's Monthly International Blog Highlights as we showcase projects with the theme "Thank You". November is thought of as the month of gratitude and being thankful for blessings in our lives. What better way to show that than to create beautiful Thank You cards to send to the people in our lives to let them know we appreciate them.
I love finding new ways to use my stamp sets and dies to create beautiful cards. The Pretty Pumpkins stamp set is traditionally a Fall/Thanksgiving themed set and I really love the fonts for the sentiments in this stamp set. I decided to pair one of the sentiments from this set with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, which includes dies that coordinate with the embossing folder and the coordinating Merriest Moments stamp set. I love the detail in the embossed die cut and thought it would look pretty as a frame for a thank you card. For my color combination, I chose Fresh Freesia and Basic White with a touch of Silver for a soft and pretty design.
Products:
Pretty Pumpkins stamp set (item #156472)
Merriest Moments Bundle (item #156783)
Wonderful Snowflakes (item #156340)
Fresh Freesia Cardstock (item #155613)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (item #156408)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder (Dies)
Three small flowers die cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder (Dies)
Basic White Cardstock
Detailed embossed frame die cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder
This card design showcases the detail and versatility of the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. The combination of the embossing folder and the coordinating detailed frame die creates a beautiful frame for the sentiment label. I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder to add an elegant touch. To create the flowers, I die cut three of the medium sized detailed flower die cuts from one of the Snowflake Wonder sheets in the spaces in between the snowflakes. This gives the white flowers a pretty shimmer to them. I then cut three of the small die cut flowers from the Fresh Freesia cardstock and attached them to the center of white flowers with Mini Glue Dots. For a touch of bling, I added a large Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each flower and added them to embossed frame with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the frame to the card base with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To finish off the card design, I added a piece of the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon under the top right corner and a pretty bow to the bottom of the frame.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful Thank You cards to send out to the people in your life. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Around The World On Wednesday October Blog Hop 10 Cards In 30 Minutes

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday October Blog Hop as we showcase projects with the theme "10 Cards in 30 Minutes". This challenge is a great way to share ideas to help you create a bunch of cards quickly and simply without the stress. You will be visiting with our talented Design Team Members as they share their projects to help you get started.
This challenge was well outside my comfort zone and I have to admit, I didn't meet the deadline of 30 minutes to complete all ten cards. If I took out the time it took to cut all the pieces ahead of time, I came very close. As a perfectionist, I am not a person to rush creating my cards and I couldn't create a card that I wasn't happy with. I had the option to use Basic White for the sentiment label and stamp the sentiment image with Evening Evergreen Classic ink but it just didn't look right to me and I wasn't happy with how the design looked. By switching it for an Evening Evergreen sentiment label and heat embossing the sentiment with Silver embossing powder, I had the look I was searching for.
This beautiful card design features the Merriest Moments Bundle and I love that this bundle has the stamp set, dies and embossing folder all together to make designing and creating this card so much simpler. I was able to streamline my creative process by cutting all the pieces I needed first, then die cut the sentiment labels and lastly heat embossed the sentiment. The color combination I chose was Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Silver. The Silver embossing adds a wonderful elegance to this design.
Products Used:
Merriest Moments Bundle (item #156783)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock (item #155574)
Soft Succulent Cardstock (item #155776)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Subtle Shimmer Sequins (item #156407)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item #110755)
Measurements:
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
10 Card Bases - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
10 Sentiment Labels die cut with the Merriest Frames Dies (included in the bundle)
Soft Succulent Cardstock
10 Card Front Layers - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder (included in the bundle)
As you can see, there are not a lot of layers to this card, so it is simple to prepare the supplies to create a large number of cards to create at one sitting. Once all the layers were precut, I embossed all the Soft Succulent card fronts and heat embossed the sentiment labels with Silver embossing powder, ready to assemble the cards. In assembly line fashion, I adhered the card fronts to the card bases first and then attached the sentiment labels onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love that the embossing folder creates the perfect spot to place the sentiment label inside the embossed frame. To embellish the cards, I used the Subtle Shimmer Sequins and attached them to the card front with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The add the perfect sparkle to this card design and coordinate with the Silver embossing. This card design would be a wonderful choice if you need to create a large quantity of Christmas cards to send out to family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my cards will help inspire you to create your own bunch of cards to help you build your card stash. No matter how long it takes to create your cards, remember that is about enjoying yourself and loving what you create.
