Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop Monochrome Rainbow Challenge

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop and this month we have a very special Monochrome Rainbow Challenge. Each time zone has been assigned a different color of the rainbow and we have been challenged to create a monochromatic project with that color. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
The rainbow color for my time zone is yellow so I decided to use a combination of Bumblebee and So Saffron with Basic White to create my card design. For the background design, I chose to use one of the patterns from the Flowers For Every Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152486). I loved the monochromatic floral design and it fit perfectly for this color challenge. The sentiment I chose is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and I love the beautiful fonts in this stamp set.

I love creating clean and simple card designs and with Stampin' Up!'s coordinating products, this card was easy to put together. To step up the design, I added the Bumblebee Enamel Dots to embellish the sentiment label and the Bumblebee Ribbon to add texture to the card design. I love how the Basic White sentiment label pops against the designer series paper. While I chose to create a Thinking Of You card, this card design would be beautiful with any of the other sentiments from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.
This color challenge really helped me to step outside my comfort zone. I don't normally use a lot of yellow in my projects, so creating a card design using just this color opened my eyes to new possibilities. The designer series paper worked wonderfully to add texture and depth to the background.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to explore creating with this theme and all the wonderful possibilities it has to offer. Whether you choose yellow as I did, or one of the other pretty colors of the rainbow, I think you will find it a fun challenge to take.
