PPP November Blog Hop Winter Gifts

Welcome to the PPP November Blog Hop as we showcase alternative project ideas using the Winter Gifts Kit. The beautiful tags in this kit are simply amazing and can easily be adapted to help you create fun projects. I hope that our ideas will help inspire you to think outside the box.
For my alternative project idea, I chose to create a Winter themed card using the supplies for the cardinal tag. Years ago, my husband gave me a small glass Bluebird of Happiness and when I saw the cardinal in this kit, I thought it would be fun to try and create a bluebird from the reverse side.

I used one of the card bases from the Silver Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes pack (item #147900) as my card base and I added a layer of Real Red cardstock that I stamped with the small snowflake image from the exclusive stamp set in the kit, with Real Red Classic ink, for a tone on tone design.
I sponged the reverse side of the cardinal die cut using a Sponge Dauber and Pacific Point Classic ink to create my blue bird. Using the tag from the kit, I added a piece of the Shaded Spruce Ribbon from the kit through the hole at the top of the tag and tied a bow with the Silver Twine around the ribbon towards the base near the tag and then attached it to the card base using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiement, I used the stamp set from October's Paper Pumpkin kit to stamp the sentiment label, using Shaded Spruce Classic ink that was included in the November kit. Using the leaves die cuts, I embellished each end of the label, attaching them with Mini Glue Dots. I attached the label to the tag using Mini Dimensionals, placing it towards the bottom of the tag.
I added the sponged blue bird die cut to the tag using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that it sat just above the sentiment. Using Clear Wink of Stella, I added a touch of shimmer to the blue bird. To finish up the card design, I added two of the snowflake die cuts from the kit, to the top and bottom of the tag and added a silver sequin to the center of each snowflake. To create holly berries, I colored the smallest Basic Pearls using the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the leaves at each end of the sentiment label.
As you can see, it is simple to create a non-holiday themed card using this kit with the supplies included and a few extra supplies that you probably already have in your craft supplies. I hope that you have enjoyed my alternative card design and I hope that it inspires you to try new possibilities with this kit. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

SBTD Christmas Blog Hop

It's time to hop with the SBTD Blog Hop as we celebrate Christmas. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their project ideas to help inspire you for the holidays.
My Christmas card design features the Christmastime is Here Suite and I just love the classic elegance of this design and the way all these beautiful products coordinate to make it simple to create. For this card design, the Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper is the star of the show, with a little texture added to the background using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder (item #151785) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
To create this card, I chose Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the card base to coordinate with the designer series paper. I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed with the Tufted 3D embossing folder and adhered a strip of the designer series paper to the left side of the card front with Snail Adhesive. I then used a piece of the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon to cover the seam along the edge of the designer series paper.
The beautiful focal image was die cut from one of the sheets for designer series paper with the coordinating die from the Roses Dies. This is a wonderful way to add a beautifully colored image to your card without having to color it yourself. I added the die cut image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, so that it overlaps the designer series paper.
To create the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Christmas Rose stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I used one of the coordinating dies from the Roses Dies to create the label and attached it to the card front with Snail Adhesive, making sure the label tucks underneath the rose image. This simply beautiful card design is simple to create and easy to duplicate as your family Christmas card design.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that my Christmas card design helps inspire you to create your own beautiful, timeless holiday projects with the Christmastime is Here Suite. Global Stamping Friends Extraordinary Blog Hop

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends (aka GSF) Extraordinary Blog Hop as we showcase Sneak Peek projects featuring new products from the New January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog. I hope our ideas will have you as excited about these new products as we are.
Last weekend I attended Onstage in Portland, Oregon and I received some amazing new products from the new catalogs that will launch January 3rd, 2020. One of the perks of being a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! is the opportunity to get new products before anyone else. Today I am sharing a clean and simple card design featuring the images from the new Painted Poppies stamp set and the sentiment from the new Timeless Tulips stamp set. Both of these stamp sets can be found in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and can be ordered by themselves or as part of a bundle. Stay tuned for more Sneak Peeks over the next few weeks for more ideas and new products.
For my card design I chose to use Terracotta Tile cardstock, one of the 2019-2021 In Colors, which just happens to be on sale as part of the Online Extravaganza. Today is the last day of this amazing sale, so make sure to stock up on your favorite products. I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock to create a matte for the focal layer and heat embossed the images and sentiment using Shimmer White Embossing Powder (item #149511)to add a soft sparkle to my card design.

I used the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668) to punch out the sentiment from Terracotta Tile cardstock and I layered a second label punched from Whisper White behind it to create a frame for the label. I added the sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added two Basic Pearls to embellish the label. To finish off the card design, I colored the embossed leaves and flowers with Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer.
This pretty sympathy card design would also work well for other occasions such as for birthdays, as a get well soon card or something as simple as a thinking of you card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that you enjoyed my Sneak Peek project from the New January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. If you live in the U.S. and you do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
