GSF Trees and Wood Blog Hop

Welcome to the GSF Trees and Wood Blog Hop for the month of August. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as we share our project ideas to help inspire you. I hope that you will enjoy our blog hop this month.
Today I thought I would share with you a card I designed for my Christmas in July class last month, featuring the Winter Woods cling stamp set (item #151359) and the coordinating In The Woods Dies. For this card design, I chose to use Pretty Peacock, one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors, with Night of Navy and Sahara Sand.
I chose to use Pretty Peacock cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Sahara Sand cardstock that I stamped using the Crackle Paint background stamp (item #148752) with Pretty Peacock Classic ink, to create the look of bark. I just love the texture that this stamp adds to the background. Using a 2" strip of Pretty Peacock Gingham from the 2019-2021 In Colors 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack (item #149617), I created a banner using the Banner Triple Punch (item #138292) and attached to the Sahara Sand layer with Snail Adhesive.
To create the look of a night sky, I die cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock using the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323). I attached the circle to the banner using Snail Adhesive.

To create my Christmas tree, I stamped the large evergreen tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set with Pretty Peacock Classic ink onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and then die cut it with the coordinating die from the In The Woods Dies.
For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Dashing Deer cling stamp set (item #151362) with Versamark ink onto a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I die cut the label using the Merry Christmas Dies (item #147912) I attached the sentiment and the tree image to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up.

To complete my card design, I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the tree to create the look of snow and colored some small Basic Pearls with the Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Marker to create ornaments to decorate the tree.
I hope that you have enjoyed my Christmas card today and that it helps you to see how versatile the Winter Woods stamp set and coordinating In The Woods Dies can be in creating your own projects. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
