Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop July 2019

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for July 2019 as we share ideas and projects using products from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who support each other as we group our businesses with the guidance of Kylie and Bruno Bertucci. I hope that you will enjoy the projects that we have to share with you this month.
As you know, I have been slightly obsessed with the Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118) lately and so today I thought I would share a masculine card design to show that there is more than meets the eye with the beautiful Daisy Lane stamp set (item #149325). For this card I chose to use Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Shaded Spruce as my color combination.
To start this card design, I chose to use Crumb Cake cardstock and added 4 strips of 1"x4 !/4" Early Espresso cardstock, that I embossed using the Pinewood Plank 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the strips to the card base with Snail Adhesive, spacing them evenly apart to create a pattern.
To create the focal panel, I stamped a 2"x4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the fern image from the stamp set, using Shaded Spruce Classic ink. I used the Generations technique to create the background by stamping the image once at full strength and then stamped again to create a lighter shade and then once more to create the lightest shade. I repeated this to create the background design.
To create the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Cling stamp set (item #148618) with Early Espresso Classic ink onto a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock. I then punched it out using the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668) and also punched out a piece from a scrap of Shaded Spruce cardstock to layer behind the Crumb Cake label.

To assemble the card, I attached the sentiment to the Very Vanilla cardstock panel with Snail Adhesive and attached the Shaded Spruce cardstock label behind the Very Vanilla cardstock panel so that it creates a matte. To decorate the sentiment, I colored two Basic Rhinestone Pearls with the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends Marker (item #147937) and added them to the Crumb Cake label. For the finishing touch, I tied some Linen Thread around the Very Vanilla cardstock panel and tied a knot. I love the rustic, organic feel to this card design and I think it makes a perfect masculine card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that my card design helps to inspire you to look at the Daisy Lane Bundle in a new way. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
