Colour Combo July Blog Hop

It's time to take a trip along the Colour Combo July Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to create a project using Petal Pink, Real Red and Granny Apple Green. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas to help inspire you to try this fun color combination.
With Summer in full swing, I thought I would create a fun, tropical card design. The colors for our challenge this month just seem to fit with this theme and I have been dying to try out the Tropical Chic stamp set (item #148226) and the coordinating Tropical Dies (item #146831) in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
I chose to use Granny Apple Green cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Petal Pink cardstock to create the matte for the Very Vanilla cardstock layer. I attached the Very Vanilla cardstock layer to the Petal Pink layer with Snail Adhesive and then popped the Petal Pink layer up on Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it to the card base.
To create the focal layer, I stamped the leaves images with Granny Apple Green Classic ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut them out using the coordinating dies. I also cut out one of the fern leaves from Petal Pink cardstock using one of the dies from the Tropical Dies set. I gently sponged the center using Real Red Classic ink and a sponge dauber to create some shading to the Petal Pink. I then stamped two of the flowers with Real Red Classic ink and one with Petal Pink Classic ink and die cut them out. I added some shading to the center of the Petal Pink flower using Real Red Classic ink and a Blender Pen and then colored all of the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

The sentiment was created by stamping the image onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock with Granny Apple Green Classic ink and then I punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) and I layered it onto a piece of Petal Pink cardstock punched using the Everyday Label (item #144668).

To assemble the card front, I attached the leaves to the Very Vanilla cardstock with Snail adhesive and added the sentiment on top with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then added the flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals so that they overlapped the leaves and the sentiment label.  For the final touch. I colored three of the small Basic Pearls with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the sentiment label.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that you have enjoyed my card design today and that it has inspired you to try this color combination. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.
