One of my favorite new bundles in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog is the Daisy Lane Bundle (item #151118). It features the Daisy Lane Cling stamp set (item #149325) and coordinating Medium Daisy Punch (item #149517). When you order both of these products as a bundle, you save 10%. I thought these products would be perfect to create a fun card to brighten someone's day.
To create this card design, I started with Pacific Point cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Real Red cardstock as a matte for the Whisper White cardstock card front. I just love how these bold colors look together. The pocket was die cut using the Pocket Dies (item #143750) from Pacific Point cardstock to create the look of a jeans pocket. I trimmed the along the fold lines of the pocket to create a flat die cut to make it easier to adhere to the card front. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature Cling stamp set (item #148217) using White Embossing Powder so that it popped against the background. I added a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (item #146912) across the top of the pocket to decorate and add a little texture.
To create the daisy, I stamped the medium sized daisy image twice using Versamark ink and heat embossed them both with Shimmer White Embossing Powder (item #149511) to add some sparkle. I punched out both images using the Medium Daisy Punch and layered them to create a fuller looking daisy. For the center of the daisy, I colored one of the medium sized Clear Faceted Gems (item #144142) using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Marker (item #144039) to create a sapphire blue color to the gem.
To add a little texture to the Whisper White cardstock card front, I embossed it using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder (item #149634) and then gently rubbed Pacific Point Classic ink over the top of the raised embossing using a Sponge Dauber to help bring out the script.
I really love the clean and simple look of this card. The bright, bold colors are so cheerful and the subtle textures and touch of sparkle help step up the card to the next level without being too over the top. This would be a great card for a teenager for a birthday or to celebrate a milestone in their life.
I hope that you have enjoyed my card design today and I hope that inspires you to explore creating with this wonderful color combination. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya. It was a fun way to create a patriotic card :)
DeleteThis is just the sweetest Tricia! Great combination of sets for this hop!
ReplyDeleteThanks Libby. It reminds me of a teenage girl's jean pocket with a little bling and fun. :)
DeleteThe tulle ribbon across the top of the pocket is a brilliant idea. The lightly inked scripted embossed background is a nice touch
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. I love the scripty background and just wanted it to pop a little more by sponging it. Happy with how it turned out. :)
