Global Stamping Friends March Blog Hop Time Marches On

It's time to hop along with the Global Stamping Friends March Blog Hop and this month our theme is "Time Marches On". As Spring approaches there are so many wonderful events to celebrate which means so many new projects to create. Our small but mighty Design Team will be sharing their wonderful projects to help get you in the spirit to create your own wonderful projects to celebrate the new season.

For my card, I decided to create a fun St Patrick's Day themed design. I love being able to play with the different greens that Stampin' Up! has to offer and for this design I chose to use Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. St Patrick's Day is very popular here in Colorado and we have a parade and celebrations to celebrate the day when everyone is Irish. I decided to incorporate the celebration with the traditional shamrock design to create a fun, clean and simple design.

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"

I chose to use the Circle Sayings Bundle for the sentiments for the focal design and sentiment label. I used the coordinating 2 3/8" Circle Punch from the bundle to punch out the stamped Celebrate circle and layered it onto a Shaded Spruce circle I die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies, using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To create the shamrock in the center, I punched out 4 of the small hearts from Granny Apple Green cardstock using the Bee Builder Punch and arranged them in the center of the circle. I used the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker to draw in the stem. For the sentiment, I stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock using Shaded Spruce Classic ink and die cut it out with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I framed it with the Granny Apple Green Label cut in half and attached to the ends on the back of the sentiment label. I attached the designer series paper card front to the card base and then added the focal image and sentiment to the card front to create the design. To complete the card, I added several of the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to add a touch of bling. The Pretty Peacock gems are a close match to the Shaded Spruce and help finish off the design. I love how fun and fresh this card design looks and I think it's a great way to help brighten someone's day.

Ink. Stamp. Share. January Monthly Blog Hop Sale-a-bration

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share January Monthly Blog Hop as we showcase products from the 2023 Sale-a-bration Catalog. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative with these wonderful products. One of the Sale-a-bration products that I haven't had a chance to play with lately is the Sending Support stamp set. This stamp set is a Level 1 Reward that you can earn free with a qualifying order ($50 in the U.S). I love the variety of sentiments and the mix of fonts in this stamp set and I wanted to use it to create a St Patrick's Day card that would be supportive and uplifting. I paired it with the Friendly Gnomes stamp set and coordinating Gnomes Dies and colored the gnome to resemble a leprechaun. The background was created using one of the designs from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, which is a Level 2 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying order ($100 in the U.S.). The combination of greens made it perfect for a St Patrick's Day card.

This cute St Patrick's Day card is a wonderful combination of greens that gives this design a fresh, cheerful look. I attached the layer of designer series paper to the front of the card base to create the background. The tag was die cut using the Something Fancy Dies from Basic White cardstock and I used one of the small dies in this set to die cut the hole at the top of the tag. I tied a piece of the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon through the hole to add some sparkle to the card. For the gnome, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut it out with the coordinating die from the Gnomes Dies. I colored the gnome with Stampin' Blends Markers and I love the contrast between the Shaded Spruce and Pumpkin Pie that gives the gnome the feeling of a leprechaun. I colored the sleeves and the flowers with Granny Apple Green and I love that the flowers look similar to clover blossoms that you would associate with St Patrick's Day. The shoes were colored with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers to complete the gnome.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Sending Support stamp set using White embossing powder and die cut it using one of the dies from the Something Fancy Dies. I attached it to the bottom of the tag and then added the gnome to the tag with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the tag to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it on the card. For embellishments, I added several Brushed Brass Butterflies to the tag and Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds for a touch of bling to the card front. For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black ink and adhered the strip of designer series paper across the bottom, before attaching it to the inside of the card.

2020 Kre8tors March Blog Hop Color Challenge Green Monochromatic

It's time to hop along with the 2020 Kre8tors March Blog Hop as we share our projects created using this month's challenge, Green Monochromatic. We can use any of Stampin' Up!'s beautiful Green colors that are currently available as well as Basic Black and Whisper White to create our projects for you. I hope that our ideas will help inspire you to explore creating your own "Green" project ready for Spring.

With St Patrick's Day just around the corner, I couldn't resist designing a card to fit the theme. To create this card design, I chose the Heartfelt Bundle (item #153775) from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and paired it with Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green to create this pretty card. The Heartfelt Bundle features the Heartfelt stamp set (item #151417)and the coordinating Heart Punch Pack (item #151292) and when these products are purchased as a bundle, you save 10%. While this bundle may be considered traditionally suited for Valentine's Day projects, I think you will see that with a change in colors, these products can work well for many occasions.

To create this card design, I chose Call Me Clover cardstock for my card base and added a layer of Call Me Clover Gingham Designer Series Paper from the 2018-2020 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #149618) for the background. I colored two pieces of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213) with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend Marker and added them to the top and bottom of the gingham layer.

To create the focal images, I stamped two of the detailed lace heart images from the Heartfelt stamp set with Call Me Clover Classic ink onto a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock. I then punched them out using the Scalloped Heart Punch from the Heart Punch Pack. I also punched out one of the Scalloped Hearts from Granny Apple Green cardstock. Next, I stamped the dotted outline heart from the stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Call Me Clover Classic ink and stamped the sentiment in the center of the heart with the same color ink. I punched out this heart using the Heart Punch and layered it onto the Granny Apple Green Scalloped heart using Snail Adhesive. I attached the two Call Me Clover Scalloped Hearts to the card front with Snail Adhesive and added the sentiment heart to the center using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. I punched out two small hearts using the Dog Builder Punch (item #148543) from a scrap of Granny Apple Green cardstock and attached them to the centers of the Call Me Clover Lace hearts using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

For a touch of bling, I added three of the small Old Olive Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones (item #149494) to the sentiment heart and I colored two of the small Basic Rhinestones (item #144220) with the Dark Call Me Clover Stampin' Blend Marker and added them to the center of the small Granny Apple Green hearts. I love the combination of Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green and will be sad to see Call Me Clover retire soon as part of the 2018-2020 In Colors. If you are like me and love any of these beautiful colors, I recommend that you stock up on your favorite products in these colors before they disappear.
