Paper Pumpkin Possibilities July Blog Hop Painted Petals

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities July Blog Hop as we showcase alternative projects featuring the Painted Petals Kit. This beautiful floral kit is a dream to create with and our Design Team is excited to share their alternative projects and ideas to help inspire you to think outside the box.
Today I have created two alternative card designs using one of the card bases from the Painted Petals Kit. I wanted to show how you can create two card fronts from one card base to create two beautiful but very different cards. I chose to use the Daisy card base and used the front of the card to create a soft and pretty design by adding it to a Mossy Meadow cardstock card base and stepped up the sentiment for an additional pop of color. For the second design, I chose to use one of the beautiful Melon Mambo floral die cuts and added it to the card front created from the back of the original card base. Once again, I used Mossy Meadow for the card base to help frame the card design. Both of these card designs would work well for a variety of occasions and it helps you to get more value from your kit.
Products Used:
Paper Pumpkin July Kit Painted Petals
Deckled Circles Dies (item #162286)
Mossy Meadow Cardstock (item #133676)
Peach Pie Cardstock (item #163799)
Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad (item #147111)
2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (item #163781)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Mossy Meadow Cardstock
2 Card Bases - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" each
Peach Pie Cardstock
Small Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies
Painted Petals Kit
1 Card Base cut into 2 Card Fronts - 5 1/4" x 4" (1 Front & 1 Back)
1 Melon Mambo Floral Die Cut
2 Sentiment Labels
1 Melon Mambo Strip
1 Old Olive Strip
These two cards are simple to create and they are a great way to maximize the supplies in your kit. I cut the Daisy card base from the kit into two card fronts, one from the back and one from the front. The textured background from the back for the card base works beautifully to help make the Melon Mambo floral die cut pop and I paired it with the Melon Mambo strip to help make the sentiment label pop. I used the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the floral die cut onto the card front and then added the Melon Mambo strip underneath using the adhesive strip from the kit. I stamped the sentiment with Mossy Meadow Classic ink onto the coordinating sentiment label and added it to the card front using the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that it slightly overlaps the Melon Mambo strip. To decorate the card front, I added several of the sequins included in the kit for a touch of bling and a simple Linen Thread bow to the stem of the die cut using a Mini Glue Dot.
For the second card, I used the Daisy design from the front of the card base to create a soft and pretty look. To help make the sentiment pop, I die cut a small circle from Peach Pie cardstock using the Deckled Circles Dies and attached it to the card front just to the right of the stems. To add some texture, I tied a bow around the left side of the Old Olive strip with Linen Thread. I then attached the Old Olive strip over the top using the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it over the Peach Pie circle. I stamped the sentiment with Mossy Meadow Classic ink onto the coordinating label and adhered it to the center of the Old Olive strip. To complete the card design, I added several Peach Pie Shimmer Gems to coordinate with the centers of the daisies and the deckled circle I used for the sentiment.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my cards  help inspire you to explore using the elements in this kit to create your own unique projects by maximizing the supplies in the kit. Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 30 - Gray Granite

Happy Friday everyone. It's Week 30 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge. This week we are showcasing Gray Granite from the Neutrals Collection. This wonderful gray is so versatile and perfect for masculine card designs. With all the heat we have been experiencing lately, I decided to create a Fall card design to remind me that cooler weather will soon be here.
Today's card clean and simple card design features the Autumn Leaves stamp set and coordinating Autumn Leaves Dies to create a masculine design. I love the texture in the images in this stamp set and the wonderful detail in the dies. To add some subtle texture to the background, I used the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. For a pop of color, I added Copper leaves to step up the design.
Products Used:
Autumn Leaves stamp set (item #162179)
Autumn Leaves Dies (item #162185)
Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder (item #159847)
Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (item #163772)
Gray Granite Cardstock (item #146983)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Gray Granite Classic Ink Pad (item #147118)
Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154886)
Pearl Basic Jewels (item #144219)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Gray Granite Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Leaf die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder
Large Leaf die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies
Copper Texture Specialty Paper
2 Medium Leaves die cut with the Autumn Leaves Dies
Creating masculine cards is something that I enjoy and I love the challenge of coming up with something new and different. Gray Granite is a great color for masculine designs and I wanted to show how you could create a clean and simple design that wasn't too drab and dreary. I love the detail in the images in the Autumn Leaves stamp set and I used the largest leaf image to create a tone on tone leaf stamping Gray Granite Classic ink onto Gray Granite cardstock. I then repeated the process by stamping the image with Gray Granite Classic ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock to create a lighter tone for the second leaf. For the background, I embossed the Very Vanilla card front with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder to add subtle texture. The Copper leaves add a pop of color and a touch of elegance that helps lift the design. I stamped the sentiment with Gray Granite Classic ink onto the sentiment label and added several Basic Pearls that I colored with the Dark Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Marker to coordinate with the card design. I added the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and add dimension to the card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore adding Gray Granite to your projects. This wonderful neutral is so versatile and works well for projects all year round.

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends July Online Exclusives Blog Hop as we showcase the amazing products available online only in the Online Exclusives including new products just released this month. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity to create your own beautiful creations.
For today's card design, I decided to showcase the new Greetings of the Season stamp set with the coordinating Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper to create an elegant Christmas card design. Instead of using green and gold for my color combination, I chose to use Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and Gold to show how you can customize the beautiful paper to create your own unique designs. For the sentiment, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to create the focal design and I just love the intricate detail around the edge of the circle die cut. In addition, I used several of the Gold Adhesive Snowflakes, which can also be found in the Online Exclusives, to help finish off the card design.

Large Detailed Circle die cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies
Very Vanilla Cardstock

Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 3 3/4" x 5"
I love using designer series paper to make beautiful clean and simple card designs, especially when I can color it to create my own special backgrounds. For this card design, I chose to transform it by first applying Boho Blue Classic ink using a Blending Brush to add a soft, even coverage of color. Next, I added Night of Navy Classic ink with a blending brush to create a subtle two tone look to the background and then used a tissue to wipe off the excess ink from the gold embossed background. For the focal image, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto the Night of Navy detailed circle die cut and added it to the center of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the card front to the Very Vanilla cardstock layer and then attached it to the Night of Navy card base with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To complete the card design, I added several Gold Adhesive Backed Snowflakes to the card front. I then colored several Basic Jewels using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the centers of the Gold Snowflakes. I love the simple elegance of this card design and how the blended color changes the look of the designer series paper. Just think of all the wonderful options available to you with this fun technique.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge Week 29 - Night of Navy

Welcome to Week 29 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge. This week we are showcasing Night of Navy from the Neutrals Collection. I love this beautiful dark blue and would have to be one of my go-to colors, especially when creating masculine cards. There is something so crisp and clean about this color and it works so well with so many other colors as well as by itself.
For today's card design, I chose to use the Adventurous Sky Bundle and paired it with the new Everday Greetings stamp set from the Online Exclusives. Did you know that this new stamp set also coordinates with the new Greetings of the Season Dies? I love that Stampin' Up! has given us even more options to create sentiments for our projects, throughout the year. For the background, I chose to use one of the designs from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper and I love how the subtle pattern adds texture to the design. The sentiment banner reminds me of when I used to see small planes pull advertising banners behind them as they flew across the sky and we used to squint to see what they would say. This clean and simple masculine card has a feeling of nostalgia that is sure to make someone smile when they receive it.

Airplane image stamped and die cut with the Adventurous Sky Bundle
Banner Label die cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies
Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
Creating masculine cards can be challenging, so I thought this week's color challenge would be a great opportunity to create a celebration card that would be perfect for the guys in your life. I love the images in the Adventurous Sky Bundle and the sentiments in the new Everyday Greetings stamp set are so versatile and have wonderful fonts that work great for this type of card. To help make the designer series card front pop, I added a layer of Basic White cardstock to frame it and attached them to the Night of Navy card base to create the framework for my design. I stamped the plane image using Night of Navy Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and die cut it out using the coordinating dies. I used a Blender Pen to gently blend the ink from the line art image to give the image some soft color that adds to the vintage feel of the design. I attached the plane image to the center of the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image using White embossing powder onto the Night of Navy label and then adhered it to the center of the Basic White banner label. I added the sentiment to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure to center it below the plane image. To cover the holes in the labels, I added Iridescent Pearls for a touch of bling without being too over the top. I colored one of the pearls with the Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends Marker and added it to the Basic White banner label to create a contrast that mirrors the look of the plain pearl on the Night of Navy label. I love the clean and simple look of this card design and how well all the elements came together. As you can see, there are a variety of products available to help you create your own monochromatic design.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore using Night of Navy in your projects. It is such a beautiful blue and so versatile, perfect for so many occasions.

New At SU July Blog Hop Make It Metallic Greetings of the Season

Welcome to the New At SU July Blog Hop and this month's theme is all about Metallics. It's amazing how a little Gold, Silver, Copper etc. can step up even the simplest design to take it to the next level. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their ideas and projects to help inspire you to explore adding a metallic touch to your projects.
I love using metallics to add a touch of elegance to my card designs. For today's card design, I chose to create a stepped up clean and simple Christmas card using Gold accents with a variety of products. The new Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper is perfect for this style of card, with the beautiful gold elements incorporated into the holiday themed designs in this pretty pack of paper. I chose to use one of the foliage patterned designs with touches of gold to give it a classically elegant look. In addition, I used Gold Foil sheets, Gold Trim and Gold Sequins as well as Gold embossing to create a beautiful card that is quick and simple to put together. It is a great example of how you can create simply beautiful cards for the holidays.
Products Used:
Greetings of the Season Bundle (item #164113)
Season of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
(item #164324)
Garden Green Cardstock (item #102584)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Wow Embossing Powders (item #165678)
Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins (item #161627)
Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim (item #161633)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Garden Green Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Sentiment Oval stamped & die cut with the Greetings of the Season Bundle
Season of Gold & Green Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
Gold Foil Sheets
Large Label die cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies
For today's card design, I wanted the designer series paper to be the star of the show and have the other gold elements coordinate to bring out the gold detail in the background design. I chose to use Gold Foil to create the large label to frame the sentiment and I heat embossed the sentiment onto the Garden Green label. I used a piece of Gold Trim to thread through the tag hole and tie a knot to create a simple accent. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the Garden Green cardstock label onto the larger label, making sure to center it on the larger label. I attached the labels to the center of the designer series paper card front and then adhered it to the Garden Green cardstock layer. To complete the assembly of the card, I attached the card front layers to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To finish up the design, I added several Gold Sequins for a touch of bling that fits with the classically elegant design. As you can see, Stampin' Up! offers a wonderful range of coordinating products that helps take the stress out of creating while adding that Wow factor to your projects.
