Paper Pumpkin Possibilities July Blog Hop On My Mind

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities July Blog Hop and this month we are featuring the On My Mind Kit. This wonderful kit features three of the amazing suites in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to help you create 9 beautiful card designs. As you hop around on our blog hop today, you will see creative alternative projects that our design team have to share to help inspire you to think outside the box. I hope you enjoy this month's blog hop.
To create my alternative card design this month, I chose to use mainly supplies from the July kit with just a couple of the new 2019-2021 In Color products to complete it. I chose to use the Sahara Sand print card base for my card and used the frame from around one of the Woven Threads patterned pieces in the kit, to create the focal layer.
I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to fit behind the frame and stamped a tone on tone design using the medallion image from the stamp set in the kit, using the Pretty Peacock Classic ink spot that is also included in the kit. I adhered the frame to the cardstock layer with Snail Adhesive. Using a piece of Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon (item #149705), I attached it along the bottom of the panel using Snail Adhesive to complete the frame.
To create the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday image onto the label from the kit, with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. Using two of the labels from the kit, one Seaside Spray and the other Terracotta Tile, I cut them both in half and used the Banner Triple Punch (item #138292) to flag the ends of the Terracotta Tile Label. I then attached the labels on either side of the sentiment using the Mini Glue dots included in the kit.
To complete the card design, I tied two bows using the Linen Thread included in the kit and attached them on either side of the sentiment label with Mini Glue Dots. Using the Mini Dimensionals from the kit, I attached the sentiment label to the center of the panel and then attached the panel to the card base with Mini Dimensionals. I loved that I was able to make use of the supplies from the kit to create this card design and come up with something fun that would work well as either a masculine or feminine card.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore new ways to use the supplies in this month's kit. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Ink. Stamp. Share. July Blog Hop Fancy Fold

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. July Blog Hop as we explore Fancy Folds for this month's theme. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you to try new fun creations. I hope that you will enjoy the projects we have to share with you this month.
Today I am sharing with you a fancy fold card called the Cross Over Gate Fold. I discovered this wonderful fun fold design one day while visiting the blog, Debbie's Designs, created by fellow demonstrator, Debbie Henderson. It is a wonderful way to dress up a gate fold card and add movement and dimension to your card design.
For this card design, I chose to use the Sailing Home Bundle (item #151066) with the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (item #149481) to create a masculine card design. I chose to use Soft Suede cardstock for the card base and Night of Navy cardstock for the mattes for the two flaps. The top flap was created using a piece of the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and the bottom flap has a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I used to create the focal image.
To create the focal panel, I watercolored the sky using an Aquapainter and Petal Pink Classic ink and the sea using Balmy Blue Classic ink. I also added some Soft Suede Classic ink to the bottom right corner using the Aquapainter to create some land for the lighthouse. I stamped the seagulls using Night of Navy Classic ink onto the sky background towards the center so that they would appear to be between the lighthouse and the sailboat.
To create the sailboat and lighthouse, I stamped the images from the Sailing Home stamp set with Night of Navy Classic ink and die cut them using the Smooth Sailing Dies (both of these products are in the Sailing Home bundle). I colored the images using a variety of ink colors and a Blender Pen. I attached the die cut images to the focal panel using Snail adhesive to create the scene.
For the sentiment, I stamped the image onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667) and then layered it onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock that I punched out using the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668). I attached the label to the designer series panel with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a bow created with the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine (item #149483) with a Mini Glue Dot.

To assemble to card, I attached the flaps to the card base with Snail Adhesive, making sure that I only applied adhesive to one half of each flap, alternating the sides so that they overlap from each side.
For the center of the card design, I attached a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the anchor image using Soft Suede Classic ink. I love the simplicity of this design and how it comes together to create a beautiful seaside themed card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore this fancy fold and create your own wonderful card designs. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

SBTD July Blog Hop Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement, Love

Welcome to the SBTD July Blog Hop and this month we are exploring Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement card designs as well as cards of love in general. It is always helpful to have one or two of these cards in your stash just in case you need them and I hope that our ideas and projects will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards for these special occasions. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as the share their creations with you today.
Today I decided to create a clean and simple wedding card using the color combination of Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver. I love the drama of this color combination and the beautiful die cut created with the Springtime Impressions Die set (item #146326) takes center stage for this design.
The card base is one of the Silver Foil Edged Cards with the matching envelopes (item #147900) that are perfect for special occasion cards. I added a layer of Basic Black cardstock to create a matte for the Whisper White focal panel. I attached the Whisper White cardstock panel to the Basic Black cardstock matte with Snail adhesive and then attached the layers to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension.
Using Snail adhesive, I attached the floral die cut to the Whisper White cardstock panel, allowing the edges to overhang slightly over the silver foil edge. To create the sentiment layer, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases Cling stamp set (item #151407) with the new Shimmer Black Stampin' Embossing Powder (item #149512) onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I love the sparkle that this embossing powder adds to the stamped image. I then die cut the sentiment using the smaller of the frames from the Frosted Bouquet Dies (item #151800) and layered it onto a label die cut with the larger of the frames from the same die set.
To finish of the card, I embellished the centers of some of the flowers of the die cut with Basic Rhinestones for a little bling. Using a piece of Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon (item #144213), I made a loop and attached it behind the sentiment label and attached the label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
This card design is simple to create but has a definite Wow factor for such a special occasion. I love that even though the main image is floral, it is not overly frilly and girly so that it suits both the bride and the groom on their special day. I hope that you like my card design and I hope that it inspires you to explore your own creations. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

2019 Kre8tors July Blog Hop Floral

Welcome to the 2019 Kre8tors July Blog Hop and this month we have a Floral theme. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own projects. I hope that you will enjoy this month's blog hop.
One of my favorite techniques is heat embossing and when I saw the images in the Floral Essence Photopolymer stamp set (item #149450), I knew that I want to create a card using this technique. I wanted to choose a color that the embossing would stand out, so I went with Pacific Point and I love how the images pop against this beautiful blue background.
To create this card, I started with a Pacific Point cardstock card base and added a layer of Pacific Point cardstock for my focal design. Using a variety of flower and leaf images from the stamp set, I stamped them in Versamark ink and heat embossed them with the new Shimmer White embossing powder (item #149511) to create a beautiful sparkly background. To add some contrast, I heat embossed the centers of the flowers with Gold embossing powder (item #109129).
To create the sentiment, I stamped the image onto a scrap of Pacific Point cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I then punched out the sentiment using the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668). This is probably one of my favorite punches for sentiments because it is large enough to punch out larger sentiments and verses. To help the label to stand out against the background, I gently sponged around the edges with Pacific Point Classic ink using a Sponge Dauber. To add the finishing touch, I added two of the Gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls (item #146282) to the top and bottom of the label.
Before assembling the card, I gently sponged the edges of the Pacific Point cardstock focal layer with Pacific Point Classic ink with the Sponge Dauber, to help it stand out a little more against the card base and also to coordinate with the sentiment label. I love that the sponging also tinted the Shimmer White embossing around the edges to add a touch of color to the images to add depth and create the look of a frame.
Finally, it's time to assemble the card. I attached the focal layer to the card base using Snail Adhesive and then added the sentiment label to the center of the panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. It's really that simple. I love that his card is basically just stamps, paper and ink with the added Wow of heat embossing to bring it to life. This card design opens up so many possibilities by varying the colors and stamps that you use to create your design. Just think of the fun you could have even with limited supplies. All of the products that I used today can be found in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
