Paper Pumpkin Possibilities January Blog Hop Lovely Lavender

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities January Blog Hop and I am so excited to start off the New Year with the Lovely Lavender Kit. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their alternative projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative. This beautiful kit also coordinates with the Perennial Lavender Suite Collection in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog to give us even more creative options to explore.
For my card design today, I decided to create one of my favorite fun folds because it is so simple to make and uses mainly supplies from the kit. The only additions are some scraps of cardstock, one of the beautiful Paper Butterfly Accents and the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems from the coordinating Perennial Lavender Suite Collection. This simple Easel card design, uses one of the Crumb Cake card bases, along with some of the elements from the kit and I also used the new Love of Spring Dies for the sentiment label. This die set is the new add-on that coordinates with the January, February and March Paper Pumpkin Kits and is available while supplies last.

Products Used:
Paper Pumpkin Lovely Lavender Kit
The Love of Spring Dies (item #164396)

Measurements:
Lovely Lavender Kit
Crumb Cake Card Base - Cut at 1 1/4" & 4 1/4" from the score line down to the bottom (landscape orientation)
Score middle section at 2 1/8"
2 Purple Strips
Purple Tag
Lost Lagoon Leaves
Basic White Cardstock
2 Strips - 1" x 4 1/8"
Highland Heather Cardstock
Circle punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch
Sentiment Label die cut with the Love of Spring Dies
To create this pretty fun fold, I chose to use one of the Crumb Cake card bases from the kit and cut the card front side at 1 1/4" & 4 1/4", from the score line down to the bottom (landscape orientation) to create three ]anels. I then scored the center panel at 2 1/8" and folded along the score line to create a mountain fold. I attached the two side panels to the bottom of the card base with adhesive and then added the decorative panels that I created by layering the purple strips from the kit onto strips of Basic White cardstock. For the focal panel, I took the purple decorative tag from the kit and adhered the bottom section to the bottom section of the center panel, making sure to not add any adhesive above the score line. For the butterfly die cut, I used Clear Wink of Stella with a drop of Highland Heather ink refill mixed together to create a watercolor wash look with soft shimmer to the die cut. I attached the butterfly to the 1 3/4" Highland Heather circle and then attached the Lost Lagoon leaves to the right top side, adhering them to the back of the circle. I then added the circle to the tag panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the exclusive stamp set with Silver embossing powder onto Highland Heather cardstock and then die cut it out using one of the dies from the Love of Spring Dies. I attached the sentiment label to the center of the bottom of the card base, to create the stopper for the center panel. To finish off the design, I added several of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to add some pretty bling to the design. Isn't this a beautiful way to step up the designs in this card kit?
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my alternative card design will help inspire you to explore all the wonderful possibilities with this kit. The designs are so beautiful and perfect for a variety of occasions. As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can order the Love of Spring Dies from my Online Store, while supplies last. Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge - Moody Mauve

It's week 4 of the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop Color Challenge and this week we are creating with Moody Mauve. One of the 2023-2025 In Colors, this pretty color is a cross between pink and purple and I thought it would work well with my vintage card design.
For today's card design, I wanted to use the beautiful Detailed Dogwood stamp set, which is a Level 2 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying design. I loved the beautiful images and thought they would work well to create collage style background. I paired it with the Notes of Nature stamp set and the Perennial Postage Bundle to add some detail and texture to the design.
Products Used:
Detailed Dogwood stamp set (item #162953) Level 2 Sale-a-bration Reward
Notes of Nature stamp set (item #162630)
Perennial Postage Bundle (item #162608)
Moody Mauve Cardstock (item #161723)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Moody Mauve Classic Ink Pad (item #161649)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim (item #161637)
Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds (item #162743)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Mini Glue Dots (item #103683)
Measurements:
Moody Mauve Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Focal Layer die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - approx. 4" x 5 1/4" die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies
Sentiment Layer stamped and die cut with the Perennial Postage Bundle
I love collage stamping using a variety of images and the Detailed Dogwood stamp set has a lovely variety of images to help create texture and detail into the design. For additional images, I used the Notes of Nature stamp set, which coordinates beautifully with this stamp set. To get the variety of shades from the one ink pad, I stamped the images full strength, second and even third generation to give the look of lighter and darker tones. I used the Perennial Postage Dies to add coordinating detail around the card front, focal layer and the sentiment and I gently blended Moody Mauve ink around the edges of each layer to add dimension. For the focal image, I heat embossed one of the floral images with White embossing powder onto the Moody Mauve cardstock layer. I stamped the sentiment with Moody Mauve Classic ink onto the Basic White sentiment label. To assemble the card, I attached the focal layer first with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front and then added the sentiment layer, slightly overlapping the bottom right corner of the focal layer. To step up the design, I added some Moody Mauve Jute Trim, separating a couple of strands and tying it into a bow, before attaching it to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot. To finish off the design, I added several gold dragonflies to a touch of bling. I had so much fun creating this beautiful card design using Moody Mauve. I hope it inspires you to give this pretty color a try with your own projects.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to explore using Moody Mauve to create your own wonderful designs. There are so many wonderful options available to help you stretch your wings and try something new.

Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge - Boho Blue

Welcome back to the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Color Challenge, with Week 3's color, Boho Blue. I love how soft and pretty this beautiful blue is to create with and today I chose to create a Sympathy card design using one of the designs from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, one of the Level 1 Rewards you can earn free with a qualifying $50 order during Sale-a-bration.
Sympathy cards are probably the hardest card design for me to create. They are so personal and I try to design a card that will provide comfort during a difficult time. For today's card design, I used the monochromatic Boho Blue design from the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper for the card background because it reminded me of the sky. I love the texture the watercolor background adds to the design, kind of like a moody sky before a storm. The butterfly die cut I chose to use for the focal image is from the new Paper Butterfly Accents in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. I created a watercolor wash look using a drop of Boho Blue ink mixed with Clear Wink of Stella to paint the butterfly and to give it that pretty shimmer and soft color. I love how this design turned out and I hope it provides comfort to the person receiving it.
Products Used:
Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (item #162889)
Cloud Punch (item #157749)
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #161354)
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (item #154317)
Paper Butterfly Accents (item #162612)
Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (item #162977) Level 1
Sale-a-bration Reward
Boho Blue Cardstock (item #161724)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Boho Blue Classic Ink Pad (item #161650)
Boho Blue Classic Ink Refill (item #161656)
Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897)
Boho Blue 3/8" Textured Ribbon (item #161631)
Blending Brushes (item #153611)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
2023-2025 In Color Dots (item #161620)
Measurements:
Boho Blue Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Mat Sentiment Layer punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
Medium Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch and embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder
Basic White Cardstock
2 Clouds punched out with the Cloud Punch
Sentiment Label punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Paper Butterfly Accents
1 Medium Butterfly Die Cut colored with Boho Blue ink & Clear Wink of Stella
My vision for this card design was a pretty pale blue butterfly floating amongst the clouds. The designer series paper created the perfect background for the card design and I added a Boho Blue cardstock circle that I embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to create the textured background for the focal image. I punched out two clouds from Basic White cardstock and gently added some Boho Blue Classic ink around the outside edges using a Blending Brush to add definition. I attached the top cloud to the embossed circle with adhesive and then added the second cloud with Stampin' Dimensionals so that it slightly overlaps the bottom cloud. I attached the water colored butterfly to the top cloud, centering it at a slight angle. To add some subtle bling, I added three Boho Blue Dots to the center of the butterfly.
For the sentiment label, I stamped the sentiment image from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set with Boho Blue Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I also punched out a label from Boho Blue cardstock and cut it in half and attached it behind the sentiment label to create a narrow frame. I added a piece of the Boho Blue Texured Ribbon to the card front, towards the bottom right corner and added the sentiment label over the top with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the focal image about the sentiment and slightly to the left, adhering it to the card front to complete the card design. I love how this card design showcases the variations you can get with this beautiful color using a variety of coordinating products. So what do you think? Are you ready to give Boho Blue a try?
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try using Boho Blue to create your own beautiful projects. Welcome to the New At SU January Blog Hop as we start off 2024 with the theme of "Sale-a-bration". Our Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the New Year. Sale-a-bration is a wonderful time to earn exclusive products for free with a qualifying order to help you create your own beautiful projects.
For my card design, I decided to combine two of the Level 1 Sale-a-bration products that you can earn free with a qualifying order. I love sentiment stamp sets, especially when they coordinate with a punch and the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. It gives you so many wonderful options for creating cards for a variety of occasions. The Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper is so beautiful and I have been using the various designs in this paper pack to create clean and simple cards. I felt like the simple sentiment from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set would be great paired with this pretty paper. The finished card design has an elegant, vintage feel to it without being fussy or needing a lot of layers. It is a great option for creating beautiful cards to send to family and friends.

This clean and simple design has a wonderful layout that can be used to create cards for a variety of occasions using any of the sentiments from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set. When paired with the beautiful designs in the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, you can create a wonderful stash of cards for all occasions to send to family and friends. It's as simple as combining a card base with a card front and then personalizing it with a sentiment, ribbon and embellishments. To earn one of these Sale-a-bration products for free, you just need to place a qualifying order of US$50 and to earn both products you need a qualifying order of US$100. Demonstrator Training January Blog Hop

It's a cold, snowy day here in Colorado, which is a perfect reason to stay inside and create beautiful cards to share as part of the Demonstrator Training January Blog Hop. You will have the opportunity to visit with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity. Our theme is Thank You and Congratulations cards to share with the people in our lives.
When the weather is cold and dreary, I love to make bright and cheerful cards to help brighten people's days. There is nothing like getting happy mail to bring a smile to someone's face. For my Thank You card today, I chose to use this pretty pattern from the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper, which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn free with a qualifying order. I love this sweet cherry design and I wanted it to be the star of the show, so I chose to use the Perennial Postage Bundle to create a simple sentiment label. I don't use Poppy Parade very often, but I love how bold and bright it looks with this design.

Products Used:
Perennial Postage Bundle (item #162608)
Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (item #162974) Level 1
Sale-a-bration Reward
Poppy Parade Cardstock (item #119793)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Shaded Spruce Classic Ink Pad (item #147088)
Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon (item #162558)
Tinsel Gems Four Pack (item #161623)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Poppy Parade Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Mat Layer die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies
Sunny Days Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This is such a fun card design and simple to create. For the sentiment, I chose to stamp the image from the Perennial Postage stamp set onto Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Classic ink to coordinate with the colors in the designer series paper. I die cut the sentiment with one of the Perennial Postage Dies and then layered it onto a Poppy Parade die cut with the die one size larger. I added two pieces of the Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon across the middle of the card front and added the sentiment label on top with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. For a touch of bling, I used some Pretty Peacock Gems from the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to complete the design. You may have noticed that the Sweet Sorbet Ribbon and Pretty Peacock Gems are a close match to Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce and it's a good reminder that you can mix and match products to help you design your cards and projects.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card will help give you some creative ideas to help you create your own beautiful card designs. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog and 2024 Sale-a-bration Catalog.
