Around The World On Wednesday March Blog Hop Layer Up

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday March Blog Hop and this month our theme is Layer Up. We have been challenged to layers to our projects to create beautiful designs. You will be visiting with our talented Design Team Members from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative.
My style tends towards clean and simple, so adding a lot of layers is outside my comfort zone. With this in mind, I decided to try a fun layout that fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Karen Titus, shared recently on her blog, Stamping On The Back Porch. She created a fun layout by cutting up a piece of designer series paper and layering it onto another layer of cardstock before adding it to her card front. That gave me three layers. Then I added a sentiment using the Heart Punch Pack and that gave me two more layers. So in the end, I was able to create five layers for my card design while still being a clean and simple design.
Products Used:
Celebrating You stamp set (item #158028)
Tidings of Christmas 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #155718)
Heart Punch Pack (item #1512923)
Soft Succulent Cardstock (item #155776)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock (item #155574)
Versamark Pad (item $102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (item #156408)
Gilded Gems (item #152478)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Heart sentiment label punched with the Heart Punch Pack
Soft Succulent Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper
3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Cut at 2 1/2" along the short side (3 1/2")
Cut at 3 3/4" along the short side of the large piece and 1 1/2" on the long narrow piece to create 4 pieces measuring:
2 1/2" x 3 3/4", 1" x 2 1/2", 1" x 1 1/2" & 1" x 3 1/4"
The key to this simple card design is the layout of the designer series paper pieces on the card front layer. I attached them in the order that I cut them out so that it creates a narrow border around each piece. I chose to use one of the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to show that this pretty paper can be used for so much more than Christmas cards. I chose Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen for my cardstock colors from the colors in the designer series paper and I like the way this combination brings the design to life. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the Soft Succulent card front on the card base to give the card dimension. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Celebrating You stamp set with Gold embossing powder onto the Evening Evergreen heart and then layered it onto the Soft Succulent scalloped heart. To embellish the card, I cut two pieces of White Organdy Glittered Ribbon, both approx. 3 1/2" long, and attached them to the back of the heart sentiment label. I attached the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals towards the bottom right side. To finish off the design, I added several Gilded Gems to the card front for a touch of bling to give the card an elegant touch. This card design provides a message of comfort and I think that these types of cards are very much needed right now. Cards are after all a paper hug that we can send to the people we love.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore adding layers to your cards to create beautiful designs. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

We Create March Blog Hop Sporting Green

Welcome to the We Create March Blog Hop and this month our theme is "Sporting Green". When you think of March, you think of Spring and St Patrick's Day, not to mention March Madness if you are a college basketball fan. This month our Design Team Members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own wonderful projects.
For my card, I decided to focus on using Greens to create my design. I wanted to create a clean and simple Spring themed design, adding texture to the background with one of the Meadow Moments Embossing Folders and detail with the Eden Dies.
Products Used:
Eden's Garden Bundle (item #157832)
Heart Punch Pack (item #151292)
Meadow Moments Embossing Folders (item #153126)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock (item #155574)
Soft Succulent Cardstock (item #155776)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Gilded Gems (item #152478)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Eden Dies
Soft Succulent Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Heart punched out with the Heart Punch Pack
Gold Foil Sheet
2 leaves die cut with the Eden Dies
This clean and simple card design is simple to create and I love how the heart sentiment label pops against the Soft Succulent card front. The touches of Gold Foil and the Gold embossing for the sentiment help step up the design for an elegant look. Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent make a wonderful combination and this card could even work as a masculine card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore the wonderful colors and products that Stampin' Up! has to offer, to create your own beautiful Spring projects.

All Together Blog Hop

Welcome to the All Together Blog Hop as we showcase projects created using new and exclusive products from the All Together Suite Collection. Our talented team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore creating your own wonderful projects.
The All Together Suite Collection has so many wonderful products to choose from. I decided to focus on the Here Together stamp set with the All Together 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. I chose to heat emboss the sentiment and focal image with Black embossing powder so that it would stand out against the Polished Pink cardstock. I left the background paper plain, as I thought the Black and White contrast worked well with the Polished Pink and Black color combination.
Products Used:
Here Together stamp set (#160634)
Stitched So Sweetly Dies (item #151690)
Heart Punch Pack (item #151292)
All Together 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #160039)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Polished Pink Cardstock (item #155710)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Matte Black Dots (item #154284)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Polished Pink Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic Heart punched out with the Heart Punch Pack
Sentiment Label - 1" x 2"
Basic Black Cardstock
Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4"
Scalloped Heart punched out with the Heart Punch Pack
Scalloped Rectangle die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies
All Together Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5" x 4"

This collection has a wonderful range of products but I wanted to showcase a card design that would work for someone who perhaps might be intimidated by the Stampin' Blends Markers and want something simpler. I find that heat embossing is a wonderful technique for both old and new stampers and it can be a great way to step up your card design. I love the bold color combination of Polished Pink Basic Black and Basic White and the designer series paper creates a wonderful background that isn't heavy or overpowering. The Black embossing really pops against the Polished Pink cardstock and I added Matte Black Dots to embellish the sentiment. The great thing about this collection of products is that there are so many options for creating whether you are a beginner or a more seasoned crafter.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore this wonderful suite of products to create your own beautiful projects. There are so many possibilities to explore.

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. January Showcase Blog Hop as we start off the New Year with projects we are currently working on. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their wonderful projects and ideas to help inspire you to get creative for the New Year.
With the start of a New Year, it's the perfect time to create Valentine's Day cards. For my card design today, I paired the new Happy Hedgehogs stamp set from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog with the beautiful Simply Marbleous 6"x6" Designer Series Paper, which is one of the Sale-a-bration Rewards you can earn free with a qualifying $50 order. I love the soft, pretty background the Blushing Bride designer series paper adds to the card design, and the Real Red cardstock and ribbon provide a wonderful contrast.
Products Used:
Happy Hedgehogs stamp set (item #157983)
Love & Happiness Bundle (item #157642)
Heart Punch Pack (item #151292)
Simply Marbleous 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #158128)

Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad (item #147115)

Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154882)
Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #155518)
So Saffron Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154905)
Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (item #141897)
Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon (item #158129)
Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item #144220)
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108)
Measurements:
Real Red Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Heart die cut with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder (Dies)
Blushing Bride Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Focal Heart punched out with the plain Heart Punch from the Heart Punch Pack
Sentiment Label die cut with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder (Dies)
This sweet Valentine's Day card is simple to create. The cute hedgehog stamp image was stamped onto the Basic White heart with Soft Suede Classic ink and I colored the image with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. I attached the Basic White heart to the center of the Real Red cardstock heart that I die cut with the large heart die from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder Dies.  For the butterfly, I stamped the image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored the wings with the Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and the body with the Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends Marker. For a touch of shimmer, I colored the butterfly with Clear Wink of Stella. I fussy cut the butterfly out and attached it to the hearts with two Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the hearts to the center of the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Love & Happiness stamp set, onto the sentiment label with Real Red Classic ink. I added a piece of the Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon around the bottom of the card front and attached the sentiment over the center of the ribbon with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete the card, I attached the card front to the Real Red card base and added Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling. This sweet Valentine's Day card would be a wonderful way to brighten someone's day.
