Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blop Hop Hugs From Shelli

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities May Blog Hop. This month we are showcasing the beautiful Hugs from Shelli kit and sharing our alternative project ideas to help inspire you to think outside the box.
For my alternative projects, I decided to show how to use the beautiful stamp set from this kit to create clean and simple notecards with a few basic supplies. I chose to use the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes (item #146911) that are retiring and paired it with my favorite technique, heat embossing. It is the best way to create beautiful card designs with a touch of elegance.
For my first card design, I chose the notecard with the Blackberry Bliss color wash background and heat embossed the floral image and splatter image with Silver embossing powder to create a pretty background. I just love the sentiments in this stamp set and the beautiful fonts are perfect for heat embossing. I chose the Thank You sentiment and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I then punched it out using the Pretty Label Punch (item #143715). To add a touch of color, I created a watercolor wash over the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Classic ink and an Aquapainter to coordinate with the card base.
To decorate the envelope, I used both of the stamp images to stamp both the front and back of the envelope with Blackberry Bliss Classic ink. It just adds a nice finishing touch to coordinate with the card design.
For my second card design, I chose to use one of the note cards with the Mint Macaron color wash background. This time I created the background using the birds and feather images from the stamp set and heat embossed them with Gold embossing powder. For the sentiment, I chose the Hello image and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch (item #145667). I added a Pool Party watercolor wash over the embossed sentiment with Pool Party Classic ink and an Aquapainter. You may wonder why I chose to use Pool Party instead of Mint Macaron and the reason was that I didn't check when I initially made the card and actually thought the card base was Pool Party. I am happy that it worked out as a happy little accident.
Once again I stamped the envelope with the coordinating images in Pool Party Classic ink to decorate the front and back. The Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes contains 20 printed note cards with 5 each of 4 designs in two colors - Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron, as well as 20 envelopes. You can create a wonderful variety of card designs with this pack for a variety of occasions. This pack is only available while supplies last or until June 3rd. If you live in the U.S. and do not have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you with your creative needs.

Ink. Stamp. Share. Monochrome Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. May Monochrome Blog Hop. You will be visiting blogs from around the world featuring projects created by Stampin' Up! demonstrators. This month we have been challenged to create a project using one color and I chose to use Flirty Flamingo for my card design.
I decided to do a watercolor wash on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Flirty Flamingo Classic ink and an Aquapainter. I added the ink to a large area of the cardstock to create the look of a sunset sky. To dry the damp cardstock, I used my heat tool to dry it.
I stamped the balloon images and the sentiment from the Lift Me Up stamp set (item #142896) using Versamark ink and I heat embossed the stamped images with Gold embossing powder. To add some definition to the balloons, I added Flirty Flamingo Classic ink to the images with the Aquapainter.
To finish off the card design I added Clear Wink of Stella to the water colored background and added some Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling. This clean and simple card design was created using minimal supplies and is a great example of how you can create simply beautiful cards with just one color. A reminder that the You Lift Me Up stamp set is retiring and is only available while supplies last or until June 3rd, 2019. If this is a stamp set you would like to add to your supplies, please order soon to avoid missing out.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my simple monochrome card helps you to see that it is possible to create projects using just one color. If you live in the U.S. and do not already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

SBTD May Blog Hop Flowers

Welcome to the SBTD May Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on flowers, flowers and more flowers. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as they share their creative projects with you. I hope that our ideas will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects.
Today's card design showcases the beautiful Garden Impressions 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #146289) to create a pretty floral background. I love the wonderful color combinations in this piece of patterned paper and I used two of the to create this card. I chose Melon Mambo cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Powder Pink cardstock as a matte for the designer series paper layer.
To create the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Abstract Impressions stamp set (item #147513) using Gold embossing powder onto Whisper White cardstock. I used the Everyday Label Punch (item #144668) to punch out the sentiment and attached it to the card front with Snail Adhesive.
To embellish the card, I punched out three small butterflies using the Butterfly Duet Punch (item #148523) from Gold Foil. I embossed the small butterflies using the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder (item #148530) to add texture. For a touch of bling, I added Basic Rhinestones to the center of each butterfly and attached them to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
This clean and simple card design is easy to create and with all the amazing designs in the Garden Impressions 6"x6" Designer Series Paper, you can create a wonderful collection of cards for a variety of occasions. This beautiful designer series paper is retiring and is only available while supplies last or until June 3rd, 2019 when the Occasions Catalog comes to an end. If you would like to order this beautiful paper, I would suggest ordering it soon to avoid disappointment.
