New At SU December Blog Hop Crumb Cake & Vanilla Notes of Nature Bundle

Welcome to our last New At SU Blog Hop for 2023 as we showcase projects using a Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla Color Challenge. Our Design Team will be creating projects using these two colors with the option that we may add one more color. I am excited to see what everyone creates this month to help inspire you.
For my card design today, I thought I would give you a Sneak Peek of some new products from the upcoming January-April 2024 Mini Catalog, which will launch January 4th, 2024. When I think of Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla together, I think of vintage designs and so I chose to add some Gold embossing to add to this theme. I have paired the ne Notes of Nature Bundle, which is perfect for collage style stamping, with the new Perennial Postage Bundle, which is fast becoming a new favorite for sentiments. Creating this card was quite a challenge for me as I am not used to using just neutrals for my designs, but I love how this card turned out and I hope it brings joy to the person receiving it.
Products Used:
Notes of Nature Bundle (item #162640) Sneak Peek
Perennial Postage Bundle (item #162608) Sneak Peek
Crumb Cake Cardstock (item #120953)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad (item #147116)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins (item #160387)
Sponge Daubers (item #133773)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Detailed foliage die cut with the Notes of Nature Dies
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Left side edge die cut with the Notes of Nature Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies
This was such a fun card to create and I loved using the new Notes of Nature stamp set to create the background design for my card front. Before stamping, I used the decorative edge die from the Notes of Nature Dies to create the look of a notebook page. To give the design depth and dimension, I used 1st and 2nd generation stamping (full strength and stamping off once), using Crumb Cake Classic ink with a variety of the images from the Notes of Nature stamp set to create the different layers of color. The collage style background is perfect for a vintage themed design. I heat embossed two of the more delicate images using Gold embossing powder to add an elegant look to the design. I gently sponged the edges with Crumb Cake Classic ink using a Sponge Dauber to add a distressed feel to the card front. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Perennial Postage stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut it out with the coordinating Perennial Postage Dies. I dipped the edges of the sentiment label into my Versamark Pad and heat embossed them with Gold embossing powder to create a vintage look. Using several of the detailed dies from the Notes of Nature Dies, I die cut a variety of foliage from Crumb Cake cardstock to add behind the sentiment label. For the finishing touch, I added several Gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins to the card front to coordinate with the Gold embossing.

Stamptastic Friends December Blog Hop Gift Wrap

Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends December Blog Hop as we showcase gift wrapping ideas to help you with your last minute preparations for the holidays. Can you believe that Christmas Eve is just one week away? Don't worry, our Design Team has some wonderful ideas and projects to help inspire you to get creative.
When it comes time to wrap the Christmas presents, I find I am always looking for gift tags at the last minute. Sometimes it's because I can't find the left over tags from last year and other times it is because we have simply run out. One of my favorite things to do with left over Christmas designer series paper, is to use it to create simple gift tags to have on hand when I need them. Today I created two tags using scraps from the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper along with the Beary Cute stamp set. As you can see, they are fun and festive and simple to make.
Products Used:
Beary Cute stamp set (item #162016) Retiring
Joy of Noel stamp set (item #161959) Retiring
Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper (item #162015) Retiring
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Balmy Blue Cardstock (item #146982)
Balmy Blue Classic Ink Pad (item #147105)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack (item #159195)
Measurements:
Basic White Cardstock
2 Pieces - 2" x 8" (Scored at 4")
Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper
2 Pieces - 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Fox & Deer fussy cut with Paper Snips
Balmy Blue Cardstock
Sentiments heat embossed and fussy cut with Paper Snips
These cute gift tags are so much fun to create and a great way to use up your scraps of designer series paper. I added the designer series paper piece to the front of the tag and added the fussy cut animal that can be found on one of the sheets of this paper pack. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder onto Balmy Blue cardstock and fussy cut them out to create two separate pieces, so that they fit easily on the tag. I adhered them the sentiments to the tag to complete the design. For the tie, I used a piece of Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the spine of the tag and tied a knot at the top and then another knot to create the loop. For the inside of the tag, I stamped the To/From image from the Joy of Noel stamp set onto the inside of the tag with Balmy Blue Classic ink and then stamped snowflakes from the Beary Cute stamp set to embellish the inside. This style of tag is very easy to mass produce and you can create a wide variety of designs just by using up your scraps.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my tags will help inspire you to get creative and come up with your own wonderful ideas to create fun and festive tags for your gifts. There are so many wonderful options to explore.

ICS December Blog Hop Homemade Holiday

Welcome to the Inspire. Create. Share December Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on Homemade Holiday projects to share with you. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help get you in the Christmas spirit as we count down the last days until the big celebration.
Today I wanted to share a fun treat holder idea that you can create as a quick gift for the holidays. The Tricks or Treats Dies is wonderful for creating a simple treat bag/box and I used a design from the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper to give it a fun and festive feel. You may remember that I used these dies to create bunch of these treat boxes for Halloween and they were a big hit with the kids who received them.
Products Used:
Festive & Fun stamp set (item #162078)
Tricks Or Treats Dies (item #162225)
2 3/8" Circle Punch (item #161354)
Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper (item #161945)
Granny Apple Green Cardstock (item #146990)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161574)
Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #161658)
Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154958)
Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (item #132708)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
2022-2024 In Color Pearls (item #161621)
Tear & Tape Adhesive (item #154031)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper
2 sides for box die cut with the Tricks or Treats Dies
Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Large Circle punched out with the 2 3/8" Circle Punch
Basic White Cardstock
Beaver image stamped and fussy cut with Paper Snips
This cute treat holder is perfect for the holidays and easy to assemble. I love that the die from the Tricks Or Treats Dies does all the work and all I have to do is decide what paper to use and then add some Tear & Tape Adhesive to put it together. The fun part is decorating it to make it extra special. For this treat holder, I used the Festive & Fun stamp set for the sentiment, which I heat embossed onto the Granny Apple Green circle and the cute little beaver that I colored with Stampin' Blends Markers and fussy cut with Paper Snips. I kept the embellishments simple with some Sweet Sorbet Pearls from the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls. Just think of how many treat holders you could create for neighbors and friends to hand out during the holidays.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my project will inspire you to get creative and have fun making your own homemade gifts and decorations. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Around The World On Wednesday December Blog Hop Watercolor Smooshing

It's time for our last Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop for 2023 and this month's theme is so much fun. Our Design Team has been given the challenge to create our projects using the Watercolor Smoosh technique. If you love to get your fingers inky, then this technique is for you. Our Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to give this technique a try.
One of my favorite things about stamping, is getting my fingers inky. For today's technique, it was the perfect excuse to get messy and play with stamps, ink and paper. For my color combination, I chose to use Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide and Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pads. For my card base and sentiment, I used Basic Black cardstock to help make the background pop. A little heat embossing with White and Black embossing powders helped step up this pretty card design.
Products Used:
Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (item #162889)
Magical Meadow stamp set (item #162134)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pad (item #155611)
Tahitian Tide Classic Ink Pad (item #159210)
Orchid Oasis Classic Ink Pad (item #159214)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Classic Matte Dots (item #158146)
Tear & Tape Adhesive (item #154031)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Stampin' Spritzers (item #126185)
Measurements:
Basic Black Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Score at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label punched out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Colored with the Watercolor Smoosh Technique using Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide and Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pads
I am sure there are a lot of different ways to do the Watercolor Smoosh technique, but for me, I used the technique I learned from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Ruth Trice, during a recent online class I took with her.  We had so much fun and got very inky as we explored so many different color combinations. To create this fun background, I used a Clear vinyl cutting mat from my kitchen for my work surface and added color to the surface using the different colored ink pads, covering an area comparable to the size of an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Basic White cardstock. I alternated the colors on the mat so that when I spritzed it with water (using a Stampin' Spritzer), it created this pretty, watery pattern where the colors gently blended together in places. When I was happy with how the colors looked, I placed the piece of Basic White cardstock down on top of the mat, allowing the ink colors to soak into the cardstock. I gently smoothed out the back of the cardstock with my hands to move the ink around underneath and allow even coverage over then entire sheet. I then carefully lifted the cardstock up off the mat and set it aside to dry. As the ink on the cardstock dried, the colors did lighten up to create a soft and pretty watercolor background with the blues and light purple blended together.
Once completely dry, I cut a piece for my card front to the size of 5 1/4" x 4". I heat embossed one of the detailed foliage images from the Magical Meadow stamp set using Black embossing powder to the top left and bottom right corners. For the sentiment label, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder onto Basic Black cardstock and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. To assemble the card, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the card front to make sure that it adhered flat and even to the Basic Black card base. I attached the sentiment label to the center of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added several Matte Black Dots to complete the card design. I just love how this card turned out and how beautiful the background turned out with this fun technique.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try this fun technique to create your own beautiful projects. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore with different color combinations to create unique backgrounds.

Stamping Inkspirations December Blog Hop Sounds of the Season

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations December Blog Hop and this month our theme is Sounds of the Season. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore this wonderful theme. There are so many possibilities to explore.
When I think about the sounds of Christmas, I think of singing Christmas carols and listening to holiday music to get us into the spirit of the season. So for my card design, I chose to use one of the designs from the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder to create a festive background. The focal image and sentiment are from one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets, Festive & Fun, and I colored the images with Stampin' Blends Markers, one of my favorite ways to color. The result is a bright and festive Christmas card that makes me think of spending time together with family and friends, celebrating the joy of the holidays.

Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper
Card Front Square - 4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Focal Layer die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Countryside Corners Dies
For my card design, I chose to go traditional with a red and green combination using Sweet Sorbet, Shaded Spruce and Parakeet Party. I love how the designer series paper adds a wonderful pop of color against the greens and I embossed the Parakeet Party cardstock to add some texture to the design. I stamped the focal image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with a variety of bright and cheerful colors to bring the design to life. For the sentiment, I used part of one of the images from the Festive & Fun stamp set and die cut it out with one of the Countryside Corners Dies. For the embellishments, I layered the White Iridescent Ribbon with the Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon to cover the seam of the designer series paper layer and used several Parakeet Party Pearls from the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls. I love how this card turned out and how bright and festive it looks.
