Paper Pumpkin Possibilities April Blog Hop All The Little Things

It's time to hop along with the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities April Blog Hop as we showcase alternative projects using the All The Little Things Kit. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help spark your creativity.
This month's kit is so pretty and I just love the foil accents on the die cuts. For my alternative card design, I decided to mix and match some of the items from the kit with products from current catalogs. I wanted to keep the design simple but step it up a bit with some embossing and a little intricate die cutting for the background. I chose the single floral die cut as my focal image and used one of the sentiments from the exclusive stamp set included in the kit along with the retiring Split Card Textures Dies and the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to create the background.
Products Used:
Paper Pumpkin April 2023 Kit "All The Little Things"
Something Fancy Dies (item #160424)
Split Card Textures Dies (item #159162) Retiring
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (item #154317)
Petal Pink Cardstock (item #146985)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallic Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Measurements:
Petal Pink Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2' (Scored at 4 1/4")
Large Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and die cut with the Split Card Textures Dies
All The Little Things Kit
Floral Die Cut
Stampin' Dimensionals
Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels
One of my favorite ways to create alternative card designs with Paper Pumpkin kits, is to take one element of the kit and create a design around it. When I saw the single floral die cut with the foil accents, I knew that was the element I wanted to use for my focal design. To help make the floral image pop, I chose to use Petal Pink cardstock for the card base and Basic White cardstock for the card front. to add some texture to the design, I die cut the card front with the floral die from the Split Card Textures Dies to add some detail and then embossed the layer with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing for some subtle texture. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the exclusive stamp set in the kit with Gold embossing powder, onto a Basic White sentiment label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies. I layered it onto the Petal Pink label that I die cut with the same die set. To assemble the card, I attached the card front to the card base and added the floral die cut to the bottom right corner. I attached the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and added some Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels from the kit for a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my alternative card design will help inspire you to think outside the box and create your own beautiful alternative projects. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Ink. Stamp. Share. April Blog Hop Showcase

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. April Monthly Blog Hop as we showcase projects we are currently working on. You will be visiting with our talented Design Team members as they share their projects and ideas, which may include Sneak Peeks of new products from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog as well as projects featuring retiring products that we are saying goodbye to.
Today's card design features some of my retiring favorites from both the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. I love the ocean and going to the beach, so I wanted to create a design reflecting these places. The Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set and coordinating Seaside Seashells Dies are wonderful for beach theme cards and I paired them with the beautiful By The Bay 6"x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper to create that had a calm, peaceful feel to it. I love this soft color combination and the subtle shimmer of the Clear Wink of Stella on the seashells adds a touch of sparkle.

Sand Dollar image stamped and die cut with the Seaside Seashells Dies
By The Bay Specialty Designer Series Paper
4 Strips - 1" x 3"
This strip technique is a great way to use up scraps for designer series paper and I was able to cut 4 strips of 1"x 3" from a scrap piece of the designer series paper that I had left over from another project. I attached them to the Basic White cardstock layer, spacing them evenly before adhering them. I stamped the Pool Party card base with the "sand" image stamp around the edge of the front of the card using Pool Party Classic ink for a tone on tone design to add some texture. I attached the focal layer to the center of the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder onto Pool Party cardstock, to coordinate with the Gold accents on the designer series paper strips. I used a die from the Harvest Dies to die cut the long sentiment. I stamped the Sand Dollar stamp image onto Sahara Sand cardstock with Sahara Sand ink and then die cut it with the coordinating dies. I also stamped the seashells, one in Petal Pink Classic ink and one in Sahara Sand Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and then fussy cut them both out. To create the design on the card front, I added the long sentiment label towards the bottom of the focal layer. I added the shells to the card front, popping the Petal Pink seashell up with Stampin' Dimensionals, overlapping them slightly over the sentiment label. Using Clear Wink of Stella, I added some shimmer to the seashells. To finish off the design, I added some Basic Pearls for a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to take another look at the retiring products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. You will love the way they mix and match to help you create your own beautiful projects.

New At SU April Blog Hop CASEing The Mini Catalog Beside Me

Welcome to the New At SU April Blog Hop as we CASE the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the wonderful samples in the catalog. What does CASE stand for? Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything, and it's a wonderful way to find inspiration.
When I saw this card sample in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, I was drawn to the layout and the arrangement of circles to create the design. I decided to CASE this card using the Beside Me stamp set, which I am happy to say, will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalog next month. To create the background, I used the Picture This Dies to create the openings in the background and the Stylish Shapes Dies for the additional circles. I simplified the color combination and added texture to step up the design which helped make the focal image pop.

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder

Basic White Cardstock
Large Circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
Coastal Cabana Cardstock
Assorted circles die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies
For my card design, I wanted to create a masculine card that combined the layout from the sample card with colors that reflected being near water such as the beach to coordinate with the focal image. I chose Misty Moonlight (a Sneak Peek at a Returning Color), So Saffron (soon to retire), Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake. For the texture, I used the Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder to create the feeling of water for the Misty Moonlight layer and I embossed the So Saffron background layer using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder to create the look of sand. To bring out the texture a little more, I used a Sponge Dauber to apply So Saffron Classic ink to the embossed areas of the So Saffron cardstock. For the focal image, I stamped it onto a Basic White large circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. The sentiment label was die cut from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Stylish Labels Dies and I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso Classic ink. The medium and small circles were die cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock with the Stylish Shapes Dies to add contrast to the design.
To assemble the card, I attached the Misty Moonlight layer to the embossed So Saffron layer, allowing it to show through the circle windows. I added the Coastal Cabana circles to the Misty Moonlight layer and trimmed the excess edges with Paper Snips. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the large focal circle to the card front and added the sentiment label so that it tucked underneath the right side of the focal circle. I attached the completed card front to the Crumb Cake card base and added several Rustic Metallic Dots to embellish the card. I love how this card design turned out and how I was able to CASE the catalog sample to help me create it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to try CASEing the samples in the catalogs to create your own beautiful projects. It is a wonderful way to jump start your creativity.

Stamptastic Friends April Blog Hop Favorite Tools

Welcome to the Stamptastic Friends April Blog Hop as we share projects created with our Favorite Tools. This is my first time hopping with this wonderful group of talented Demonstrators and I am excited to be a part of this Blog Hop. I hope that you will find the projects and ideas that we share, helpful and inspiring.
One of my favorite techniques would have to be heat embossing, so I decided to showcase a project that I created using my Heat Tool. I love Stampin' Up!'s Heat Tool as it has two heat settings, which allows me to control the temperature for my projects. Today's card design features the beautiful Cottage Rose Bundle from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and I chose to heat emboss the images with Gold embossing powder, one of my favorites. For heat embossing, I use the #2 setting on my Heat Tool and it does a wonderful job of heating the embossing powder to create beautiful designs.
Products Used:
Cottage Rose Bundle Retiring
 - Cottage Rose stamp set (item #159040) Retiring
 - Cottage Flowers Dies (item #159047) Retiring

Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #144237)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels (item #158987)

Card Front - 5" x 3 3/4"
Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Sahara Sand Cardstock
Layer 1- 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
2 Detailed Leaves die cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies
This beautiful card design showcases the detailed floral images from the Cottage Rose stamp set and I love how the Gold embossing brings them to life. I stamped the images with Versamark ink onto the Very Vanilla card front and used the Heat Tool to emboss the Gold embossing powder for the designs. I also heat embossed the sentiment onto the Very Vanilla sentiment label to coordinate with the card front. To help frame the focal design and sentiment, I chose Sahara Sand cardstock to help make the embossing pop. I also die cut and added two detailed leaves that were die cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies. Sahara Sand is one of my favorite Neutral colors and I am sad to see it retire. It adds a soft contrast to this card design that works well with the Gold embossing. The only embellishment I added were two small Iridescent Pearls to add a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will inspire you to create your own wonderful projects using your favorite tools. For me, the Heat Tool is a must have in my craft room and is one of my most used tools.

Stamping With Friends April Blog Hop Retiring Products

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends April Blog Hop as we say goodbye to our favorite retiring products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Our wonderful Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas with you as we say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. These retiring products are available only while supplies last, so if you see something that you like, make sure to order it soon to avoid missing out.
My card design today features retiring products from both the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. I love being able to mix and match different products to create unique card designs. The Fancy Flora 6"x6" Designer Series Paper has beautiful color combinations and fun patterns that work well with the more modern feel of the Hello Beautiful stamp set and coordinating Beautiful Shapes Dies. I love the feel of this stepped up clean and simple design and I will be sad to see these products retire.
Products Used:
Hello Beautiful stamp set (item #158041) Retiring
Beautiful Shapes Dies (item #158046) Retiring
Fancy Flora 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #160413) Retiring
Orchid Oasis Cardstock (item #159267)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Fresh Freesia Classic Ink Pad (item $155611)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (item #159185) Retiring
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Orchid Oasis Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Hexagon Frame die cut with the Beautiful Shapes Dies
Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic White Cardstock
Large Hexagon die cut with the Beautiful Shapes Dies
This card design is simple to create and is easy to assemble. To create the focal image, I stamped the large background image from the Hello Beautiful stamp set using Fresh Freesia Classic ink, onto the large Basic White hexagon. I then heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder on top of the stamped background. For the card front layer, I die cut the window with the medium size hexagon die towards the right side of the designer series paper. Using both the large and medium hexagon dies, I created a frame for the window using Orchid Oasis cardstock and then I attached the frame around the window. To assemble the card, I lined up the sentiment label with the window and attached it to the card base. I then attached the card front layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals, making sure that the sentiment is inside the window frame. To complete the card design, I added some 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds for a touch of bling.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to take a look at the retiring products from the Annual and Mini Catalogs to see all the wonderful possibilities. These products will only be available while supplies last, so don't wait too long to place your order.
