Paper Pumpkin Possibilities April Blog Hop Change Is Beautiful

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities May Blog Hop as we showcase the Change Is Beautiful Kit. You will be visiting with our talented Design Team members as they share their wonderful ideas and alternative projects to help inspire you to think outside the box.
For my alternative card design, I decided to pair the exclusive stamp set from the kit with the pretty Abstract Beauty 4"x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper. I created windows using the Picture This Dies to showcase the different images from the stamp set. With just a touch of gold, this clean and simple card design comes to life.

The images in the exclusive stamp set are so beautiful and I wanted to show how you can create projects with it after you have used the supplies to create the projects in this kit. The Abstract Beauty Specialty Paper has such wonderful bold designs and colors and I love how it pops against the Basic Black layer behind the die cut windows. The gold embossed images take this card design to the next level and I colored the butterfly and the caterpillar using a Blender Pen and a combination of Granny Apple Green (caterpillar) and Crushed Curry with Magenta Madness Classic inks (butterfly) to add a touch of color. I kept the embellishments simple by adding the beautiful Gilded Gems to the Basic Black cardstock windows to coordinate with the gold embossing.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore creating your own wonderful projects with this beautiful kit. The exclusive stamp set in this kit will open up new possibilities for creating inspirational and uplifting card designs.

New At SU April Blog Hop Celebrating Mother's Day

Welcome to the New At SU April Blog Hop as we celebrate Moms, Dads, Brides & Grads. There are so many special occasions coming up in the next couple of months and our Design Team members will be sharing projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects. For my card design, I will be Celebrating Mother's Day, a special occasion to celebrate the special mothers in our lives.
For my card design today, I wanted to create a beautiful, elegant Mother's Day card and what better way to do that than with the gorgeous Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper. The designs in this paper pack are simply stunning and I chose to use one of the patterns with the gold foil accents for my background. The Celebrating You stamp set is an amazing sentiment stamp set and I just love the beautiful script for the Happy Mother's Day image. The die cut tea cup is a Sneak Peek from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and was created with the new Teacup Dies. The detailed butterfly die cut is from the Brilliant Wings Dies looks amazing in gold foil to coordinate with the designer series paper.

Sentiment Label die cut with the Stitched so Sweetly Dies

Mother's Day cards should be extra special to celebrate the amazing women in our lives. I struggle to create over the top cards with lots of layers, preferring to keep my designs clean and simple. I chose to use Gold Foil to create my detailed butterfly and the detailed layer for my teacup to coordinate with the gold accents in the designer series paper background. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder for an elegant touch and to tie all the elements of the card together. To embellish the card, I used Basic Rhinestone Jewels for the body of the butterfly to add some bling as well as several of the Brushed Brass Butterflies to embellish the teacup and sentiment label.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful Mother's Day cards to share with the special women in your life. There are so many wonderful products to choose from to help you create your own unique design.

Kre8tors April Blog Hop Free For All

It's time to hop along with the Kre8tors April Blog Hop and this month our theme is "Free For All" as we get to explore our creativity. As we come to the end of one catalog and prepare for the beginning of a new one, there are so many wonderful possibilities for our Design Team members to share with you. I hope our projects inspire you to get creative.
For my card design, I wanted to combine something old with something new. I combined the retiring Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper with a Sneak Peek of a new bundle, Bottled Happiness, that will be in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. It was also an opportunity to use one of my favorite browns, Cinnamon Cider, before it too retires soon. This card design would be a perfect masculine card and while my sentiment leans more to a "Just Because" kind of card, you could adapt it for a birthday or even for Father's Day.
Product List:
Bottled Happiness Bundle (item #158690) Sneak Peek from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog
Tailor Made Tags Dies (item #155563)
Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper (item #155696) Retiring
Cinnamon Cider Cardstock (item #153078) Retiring
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Cinnamon Cider Classic Ink Pad (item #153114) Retiring
Soft Succulent Classic Ink Pad (item #155778)
Evening Evergreen Classic Ink Pad (item #155576)
Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon (item #155780)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Large Tag die cut with the Tailor Made Tags Dies
Bottle stamped and punched with the Bottled Happiness Bundle
Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple card design has a wonderful natural color palette. I love the way that Cinnamon Cider works with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen and the vintage feel they give to this design. The woodgrain pattern in the designer series paper provided the perfect background for this card and I sponged the tag with Cinnamon Cider Classic ink to give it a worn, aged look. I stamped the bottle onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the coordinating punch. I stamped the label with Cinnamon Cider classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Evening Evergreeen Classic ink onto the label before fussy cutting it out and attaching it to the bottle. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Succulent Classic ink onto the bottom of the tag and added the bottle to the tag with Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied a piece of the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon to the tag and then added the tag to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I love the dimension and texture of this card design and think this card is a perfect combination of old and new as we transition from one Annual Catalog to another.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to combine some of your favorite products from the retiring catalog with some of the new products coming in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. There are so many wonderful options to explore.

Stamping With Friends Retiring Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends Retiring Blog Hop as we share projects and ideas featuring products that are retiring from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Our Design Team Members will be showcasing a variety of products that we are saying goodbye to and showing them some love one last time before they disappear. The products on the Last Chance Retirement List are available only while supplies last or until May 2nd, so make sure to place your order for your favorites before time runs out.
For my card design today, I decided to showcase products from the retiring In The Wild Suite. I love cats, so this suite is one of my favorites and I am sorry to see these products retire. My design is a clean and simple card featuring the beautiful In The Wild Designer Series Paper combined with the Wild Cats Bundle. I love that there are dies in the bundle that can die cut out certain images in the designer series paper. I chose to die cut one of the beautiful tigers to create the focal image for my card. This monochromatic design would be perfect for the cat lover in your life or as a masculine birthday card.
Products Used:
Wild Cats Bundle (item #155507)
In The Wild Designer Series Paper (item #155817)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #151820)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock (item #155574)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Evening Evergreen Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Scalloped Circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
In The Wild Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple card designer is easy to assemble and requires just a few supplies to create. I love the pattern of the designer series paper and how it creates the look of the jungle for the background. I die cut the tiger from the designer series paper with the coordinating die and attached it to the Basic White cardstock circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the Evening Evergreen scalloped circle to the back of the focal circle and attached it to the card front. The sentiment was heat embossed with Silver embossing powder onto the Evening Evergreen sentiment label and attached to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I chose not to add any embellishments but you could add Linen Thread to dress up the design if you wanted to step it up.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to give the retiring products on the Last Chance List another look before they say goodbye. There are so many wonderful options, some with amazing discounts, to help you with your creative needs.

Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop At The Market

Welcome to the Around The World On Wednesday April Blog Hop and this month our theme is "At the Market".  We have been challenged to find a photo of a market and use it as inspiration for our project. You will be visiting with our talented team members as they share their ideas and projects to help inspire you.
For my card design, I chose this photo taken at a marketplace in Instanbul, Turkey (shown above), as my inspiration. The focal image shows a coat with clean and simple lines with a wonderful pattern in blue and white. I was immediately reminded of one of the designs in the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, and it became the basis for my card design. Instead of the bright yellow of the scarf, I chose to use Gold Foil and Gold embossing to embellish my card design.
Products Used:
Blessings of Home Bundle (item #157939)
Tasteful Labels Dies (item #152886) Retiring
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (item #157928)
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (item #153081) Retiring
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Gold Foil Sheets (item #132622)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Gilded Gems (#152478)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Scalloped Circle die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with Tasteful Labels Dies
Gold Foil Sheets
Detailed foliage die cut with the Flowers of Home Dies
I love how the designer series paper creates a similar flow with the curved detail of the design. While the Misty Moonlight I chose isn't the same blue as the coat design, I liked the way it created a similar feeling. The Gold Foil die cuts reminded me of the floral elements in the coat and along with the Gold embossing, provides a pop of color similar to the yellow scarf. I kept the details to a minimum to mimic the clean and simple lines of the coat. This card design would also work well as a masculine card design for a variety of occasions. I love how this card turned out and how it was inspired by finding a connection between a design on a coat and a pattern of a piece of designer series paper.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to look at the world around you for inspiration to help you create your own beautiful projects.
