Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop: Tic Tac Toe

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop featuring Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world. This month we have a Tic Tac Toe Challenge where we choose a line and use those elements to create our card or project. You may have just visited Melissa's blog or perhaps you are starting here with me. I hope that you enjoy the projects and ideas we have to share today.

I chose the first line horizontally which features Christmas, Embossing and Circle elements for my project. For my card design, I decided to go with a clean and simple design featuring traditional Christmas colors.

My card base was created using Thick Whisper White cardstock and I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed using the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Embossing Folder (item #145649). Next I added a 2" x 51/4" strip of All Is Bright Designer Series Paper (item #147892) to the left side of the Whisper White cardstock layer and used a piece of Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon (item #147894) to hide the seam.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Timeless Tidings stamp set, which can be found in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, using Fold embossing powder onto Whisper White cardstock. I used the 2" Circle Punch (item #133782) to punch it out and I layered it onto a piece of Gold Foil that I punched out using the Starburst Punch (item #143717). I attached the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the card design, I added Gold Sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment (item #144214) using Mini Glue Dots to attach to the card front.
As you can see, using these three elements, I was able to create a simply beautiful Christmas card design that featured both heat embossing and embossing using an embossing folder and the Big Shot for a classically elegant look. The circle element for the sentiment created the main focal point for the card. This card design would be perfect for creating a large number of Christmas cards simply and easily without sacrificing on the quality of the card design.

SBTD October Blog Hop Color Challenge

It's time for the SBTD (aka Stampers By The Dozen) October Blog Hop and this month we have a color challenge to share with you. We have been challenged to create a project using Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Pool Party and I just love these colors together. You may have just visited Susan's blog or perhaps you are starting out here with me. I hope that you enjoy the projects we have to share with you today.
For me, these colors make me think of Fall, so I decided to create a clean and simple Fall card design using products from Stampin' Up!'s 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful bright colors and chose to use the Seasonal Layers Thinlets dies (item #143751) to die cut leaves in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron cardstock with the smaller leaf die. I used the detailed larger leaf die to die cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the base was die cut using Poppy Parade cardstock to create the larger leaf.

I chose So Saffron cardstock to create the card base and added a layer of  Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The next layer was created using Pool Party cardstock that I embossed using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item #143706) to add texture.
The sentiment, from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (item #143726), has been heat embossed with Copper embossing powder onto So Saffron cardstock and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch and layered with a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock punched out with the same punch.

For a touch of bling, I colored two of the larger Basic Rhinestones with the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker, to embellish the sentiment. I also colored each of the leaves with Clear Wink of Stella to add some shimmer.

This card design works for many occasions and by changing the sentiment you could use it for a birthday or thank you card. I love the way the colors work together to create a beautiful Fall card.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that you enjoyed my project and I hope it helps inspire you to try this color combination for your own creations. Now it's time to visit Tashana's blog and see what she has to share with us today. Just click the Next button below to visit her blog. I hope you enjoy the rest of our blog hop.

Until Next Time.
