Inspire. Create. Share. February Blog Hop It's A Love Thing

Let's celebrate Valentine's Day with the Inspire. Create. Share February Blog Hop as we showcase the theme, It's a Love Thing. There are so many occasions throughout the year to show some love to the people in our lives. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their ideas and projects to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects to send to the people you care about.

My card design today is one that could be sent out any time of the year as a way to send some love to someone special. I paired the beautiful Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle to create a lovely clean and simple card design. I blended some soft color onto the designer series paper layer to create an ombre effect, using Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve Classic ink pads. I love the subtle gold accents that help step up the design without being to over the top.

Most Adored Designer Series Paper

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"

To create this pretty card design, I added some Bubble Bath Classic ink to the designer series paper layer using a Blending Brush, blending from the top down to the center. Once I had the color intensity I was looking for, I blended Moody Mauve Classic ink with another Blending Brush, moving from the bottom up to the center, blending the two colors together in the middle to create the ombre look. I gently wiped the designer series paper to remove any ink on the Gold embossed hearts. For the sentiment label, I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold embossing powder onto Basic White cardstock and punched out the sentiment with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I took a piece of Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon and gently frayed both ends, leaving a section in the middle to apply adhesive to add it to the center of the card front. I added the sentiment label over the top of the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added several Moody Mauve hearts punched out with the Bee Builder Punch. To finish off the design, I added several Gold Pearls from the Festive Pearls to coordinate with the rest of the card design. I love how pretty this card looks and how simple it was to create.

Global Stamping Friends February Blog Hop Lovely & Sweet

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends February Blog Hop as we showcase this month's theme "Lovely and Sweet". With Valentine's Day approaching, this is a great opportunity explore the wonderful ways to send a little love to the special people in our lives.

Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"

For today's card design, I chose to use the cute beaver image holding a stick heart. I thought it would be a sweet focal image for my Valentine's card. I also used the nest image to help ground him inside the Basic White circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies. I colored the images with Stampin' Blends Markers and added the images to the circle using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up. I used a larger Crumb Cake deckled circle to frame the focal circle and I sponged the edge of the circle with Crumb Cake Classic ink using a Sponge Dauber. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with Gold embossing powder onto Basic White cardstock and used the Perennial Postage Dies to die cut it out. I layered it onto the slightly larger Crumb Cake label, which also has the edges sponged with Crumb Cake Classic ink. Using Sweet Sorbet Baker's Twine, I wrapped a piece around the card front twice and tied a bow on the left side. I added the sentiment over the top of the twine with Stampin' Dimensionals and attached the focal image above the sentiment, making sure to center both of them. To finish off the design, I added a red heart from the Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers to complete the design. I had so much fun creating this sweet card design and hope it will help bring a smile to someone special.

We Create February Blog Hop Sweet Deals

It's time to hop along with the We Create February Blog Hop and this month we are focusing on Sweet Deals. With Valentine's Day coming up soon, and Sale-a-bration in its final month, the Design Team has so many possibilities to showcase to help inspire you to get creative.

Today's card design has a fun Valentine feel to it but it could also work well for a February birthday. I love the beautiful design from the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper, a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn Free with a qualifying $50 order. It makes the perfect background for this sweet card design. For my focal design, I chose to use the cute bunny from the Fluffiest Friends Bundle, which can be found in the Online Exclusives in my Online store. There are several images in this bundle that would work well for this card design. The Perennial Postage Dies add detail to the focal layer and gives the appearance of a postage stamp. I don't know how anyone can resist this adorable bunny with his little cupcake treat.

I love the color combination for this card design that I took from the designer series paper background. I chose Real Red cardstock for the card base and mat layer for the focal image to help make it pop against the background. I colored the bunny image with Stampin' Blends Markers to bring him to life. I added the Flirty Flamingo heart die cut with the Radiating Dies, which were also used to die cut the Real Red layer. The stitched detail on both adds texture to the design. For embellishments, I chose to use the pretty Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon which is a wonderful match for the background color of the designer series paper and for a touch of bling, I added some simple Basic Rhinestone Jewels. To add depth and dimension to the design. I popped up the focal layer and the bunny with Stampin' Dimensionals. This sweet card design is sure to make someone smile when they receive it.
