Stamping With Friends June Blog Hop 2024-2025 Annual Catalog Bundles

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends June Blog Hop as we explore the wonderful new bundles in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. What exactly is a bundle? It is Stampin' Up! pairs together a stamp set with a coordinating punch or coordinating dies so that you can save 10% on the price. This makes it a great, budget friendly way to add your favorites to your crafting tool kit. Our amazing Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas using the new bundles to help inspire you to create your own projects.
For my card design, I wanted to use the Hearts & Hugs Bundle to create a sweet birthday card. This bundle stole my heart when I first saw the new catalog and it was one of the first bundles I had to have. I love the combination of adorable images and cute sentiments and having coordinating dies just makes creating with this bundle so simple and fun. For today's design, I chose to use the sweet walruses for my focal image and colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. The background was created with one of the Meandering Meadows 6"x6" Designer Series Paper designs. Did you know that the reverse sides have wonderful monochromatic patterns that make amazing backgrounds? This is just one example of how you can use this pretty paper in a less traditional way. I added a pop of color with the banner and the hearts using Real Red cardstock to bring the design together. This clean and simple design is so much fun and I love that I was able to use just the stamp set and coordinating dies from this bundle to create my design.

There is so much to love about this card design, it's hard to know where to start. I love the texture of the background design and how it makes everything else pop. Blueberry Bushel is one of my favorite blues, but it is often overlooked. I used a layer of Basic White cardstock to create a frame around the focal layer and help it stand out from the Blueberry Bushel card base. After adhering the designer series paper layer to the Basic White cardstock, I die cut out the detailed hearts arch towards the top and center of the card front. I added a piece of Real Red cardstock on the back, behind the negative die cut hearts, to give them a beautiful bright red color. For the walruses, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored them with Smoky Slate, Ivory and Light Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends Markers. I die cut the image out using the coordinating die from the bundle and attached it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, positioning it in the center just below the hearts. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Blueberry Bushel Classic ink and die cut the label using one of the dies from the bundle. I also die cut a Real Red label using the same die and cut it in half using Paper Snips. I attached each piece of the Real Red label to the back of the Basic White sentiment label, leaving a small banner on each end to frame the sentiment. I then attached the sentiment label to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it below the walruses. To complete the design, I added two of the hearts created from the background, to the sentiment label. I attached the card front to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and add extra dimension to the design. Isn't this just the cutest birthday card? I just love how it turned out.

We Create April Blog Hop April Showers

Welcome to the We Create April Blog Hop and this month our theme is "April Showers". Here in Colorado, Spring is in full swing and we have been alternating between lovely warm, sunny days and cooler rainy and sometimes even snowy weather. Basically, typical Spring weather for Colorado. Our Design Team is excited to share their wonderful projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects to help celebrate the special occasions you have coming up.
When I think of Spring, I think of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers" and so far we have been lucky enough to have both rain and snow. For my card design, I chose to use the lovely Spring scenery in the Rocky Mountains as my inspiration. Once the snow has melted, the beautiful wildflowers start to bloom and everything is so green and pretty. I chose one of the designs from the Meandering Meadows 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to create the background for my card design, to recreate that wonderful view. I wanted to keep my design clean and simple, so I chose to add a simple sentiment and minimal embellishments to create a lovely Thinking of You card.
Products Used:
Garden Meadow stamp set (item #162736)

Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Highland Heather Classic Ink Pad (item #147103)
Ribbon Duo Combo Pack (item #161318)
Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds (item #162743)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Highland Heather Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Sentiment Label die cut with the Something Fancy Dies
Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This beautiful card really does showcase the wonderful designs in the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper pack. The soft, watercolor look to the scenes are so peaceful and soothing and I thought it would be perfect for a Thinking of You card. I added the designer series card front to a Highland Heather card base to help make the scene stand out. I stamped the sentiment with Highland Heather Classic ink onto Basic White cardstock and die cut out the sentiment with one of the Something Fancy Dies. I cut two pieces of the Petal Pink ribbon and attached them to the card front and then added the sentiment label over the top with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a touch of bling, I added several gold Dragonflies to complete the design. This clean and simple design is a wonderful way to showcase your pretty designer series paper to help you create beautiful cards.

Global Stamping Friends December Blog Hop The Card's In The Mail

Welcome to the Global Stamping Friends December Blog Hop and this month it's all about getting those cards in the mail. As cardmakers, we all love making cards, but we aren't always the best and sending them out to the people we care about. Our small but mighty Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to not only create your own beautiful cards, but to also mail them out to family and friends.
This time of year, it can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and sometimes we forget to check in with the people in our lives who may be struggling. For some people, the holidays are a time of loneliness and remembering those they have lost. So I thought I would share a clean and simple card design featuring the beautiful Meandering Meadows 6"x6" Designer Series Paper, that you can create to send to people to let them know that you care and that they are not alone. I love the impressionistic feeling of the designs in this pretty paper pack and I chose one that gave me a feeling of peace and serenity. I paired it with Thick Basic White Cardstock for the card base to try and create the look of the cards you often see in the Art Museum gift shops with reprints of famous art designs. A simple sentiment has been embossed with Gold to step up the design but not overwhelm it. This way, the person receiving it could display it on their mantle or shelf as a reminder that they are loved.
Products Used:
Very Best Occasions stamp set (item #159871)
Double Oval Punch (item #154242)
Meandering Meadows 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #162735)
Thick Basic White Cardstock (item #159229)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Festive Pearls (item #159963)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Thick Basic White Cardstock
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Basic White Cardstock
Oval Sentiment Label punched out with the Double Oval Punch
Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This beautiful clean and simple card design is easy to duplicate with any of the designs in this paper pack. The secret to getting the best card front is to look at the design and determine if it works best as a portrait or landscape card front. Once you have decided that, you can then cut the card front accordingly to 5 1/4" x 4 to suit the orientation you have chosen. You could choose to heat emboss your sentiment directly onto the card front before attaching it to the card base to simplify the design even further. I chose instead to heat emboss the image with Gold embossing powder onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the Double Oval Punch. I attached it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and then added some Gold Festive Pearls to finish off the design. I love the feeling of peace this card design gives me when I look at it and I hope that the person receiving it will feel that too.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards and send them out to the people you love. It's a wonderful thing to send happy mail to people to help brighten their day.
