Ink. Stamp. Share. October Monthly Blog Hop Fall & Halloween

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. October Monthly Blog Hop as we showcase projects and ideas with the theme of Fall and Halloween. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their creations to help inspire you.
For my card design, I chose to create a Fall themed card design to celebrate Thanksgiving. I love the wonderful colors and designs in the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #153520) and combined the striped pattern with the Banner Year Bundle (item #155214) and the Gather Together Bundle (item #153036) from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. My card design was inspired by a technique shared by fellow New Zealand demonstrator, Jacque Williams, and I loved the flow of the circles as a contrast for the striped background. This design has a wonderful masculine feel to it and could easily be adapted to use as a birthday card or other occasion for the men in your life.
Products Used:
Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #153520)
Banner Year Bundle (item #155214)
Gather Together Bundle (item #153036)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323)
Gilded Gems (item #152478)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Cajun Craze cardstock (item #119684)
Early Espresso cardstock (item #119686)
Mint Macaron cardstock (item #138337)
Very Vanilla cardstock (item #101650)
Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pad (item #147085)
Measurements:
Early Espresso cardstock card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
(scored at 4 1/4")
Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Circles (Die Cut with Layering Circles Dies)
Early Espresso cardstock circle
-1 circle measurement 2 7/8"
Cajun Craze cardstock Circles
- 1 circle measurement 2 5/8"
- 1 circle measurement 1 5/8"
Mint Macaron cardstock Circles
-1 circle measurement 2 5/8"
- 1 circle measurement 1 5/8"
Circle Die Cuts (Die Cut with Stitched Shapes Dies)
- 2 Very Vanilla Circles (die cut with the 2nd largest Stitched Circle Die)
- 1 Very Vanilla Circle (die cut with the smallest Stitched Circle Die)
Early Espresso cardstock 1/2" Strip (for sentiment)
The most complicated part of creating this card is the layering and cutting of the circles. One stack of circles layers the Early Espresso large circle, Mint Macaron larger circle, Very Vanilla large stitched circle and the small Cajun Craze circle. I attached them using Tombow Multi Purpose Glue to make it easier to slide them into place. You need to have them aligned towards the right side to create the design. For the second stack of circles, I layered the larger Cajun Craze circle, the second large stitched Very Vanilla Circle and the small Mint Macaron circle. Once again, I aligned them to the right side and attached them with glue. I then cut both layered circles in half, cutting through all layers to cut them both in half. I attached the bottom half of the larger circle onto the right side of the card front and then attached the bottom half of the smaller circle (flipping it upside down) so that it aligns with the colors of the larger circle, to create the wavy swirl design. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Banner Year stamp set onto the 1/2" strip of Early Espresso cardstock and used the Banners Pick A Punch on the right end of the strip. I trimmed it to fit just slightly shorter than the width of the card front and attached it with Stampin' Seal Adhesive.
To complete the card design, I stamped the two pumpkins image from the Gather Together stamp set using the Cajun Craze Classic Ink Pad and colored the images with Stampin' Blends Markers. I die cut them using the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies. I attached the pumpkins to the small Very Vanilla stitched circle with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and then attached the circle to the card front with a combination of Stampin' Seal Adhesive along the bottom of the circle and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals across the top. I lined the Very Vanilla circle up so that it fit inside the small Cajun Craze half circle and over the top of the end of the sentiment banner. To embellish the card, I added a small bow tied with Linen Thread to the base of the small Very Vanilla circle and added Gilded Gems to add a touch of gold to coordinate with the embossed sentiment.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will give you ideas to help you create wonderful Fall themed cards with this beautiful designer series paper and to experiment with different shapes to create wonderful designs.

Around The World On Wednesday Blog Hop The World Around Us

It's time to hop along with The Around The World On Wednesday October Blog Hop and this month our theme is "The World Around Us". You will have the opportunity to visit talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their creative projects and ideas to help inspire you.
For my card, I decided to create a mini sampler design featuring the colors and elements of Fall. I used the Beautiful Autumn Bundle and the Gather Together Bundle from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I wanted to create windows with a different Fall element displayed. I used the Pick A Hoot Dies to create the window openings.
Products Used:
Beautiful Autumn Bundle (item #155189)
Gather Together Bundle (item #153036)
Peek A Hoot Die (item #153573)
Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (item #151775)
Banner Year Bundle (item #155214)
Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #151331)
Early Espresso cardstock
Cinnamon Cider cardstock
Crumb Cake cardstock
Very Vanilla cardstock
Cinnamon Cider Classic Ink Pad
Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink Pad
Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad
Mango Melody Classic Ink Pad
Stampin' Blends Markers
Basic Pearl Jewels
Measurements:
Early Espresso cardstock card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
(Scored 4 1/4")
Cinnamon Cider cardstock layer - 5 1/4" X 4"
Crumb Cake cardstock layer - 5" x 3 3/4"
(die cut with Peek A Hoot Dies and embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder)
Very Vanilla cardstock layer - 5" x 3 3/4"
Very Vanilla cardstock for stamped images
This card design was a challenge for me and had me thinking outside of my comfort zone. I love the idea that each window shows a different element of Fall, as it reflects the changing view outside of the world outside. It was fun to combine these different bundles with the warm colors of this season.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to look at the world around you and use it as inspiration for your own projects. There are so many wonderful possibilities to choose from.

Ink. Stamp. Share. August Blog Hop August-December 2020 Mini Catalog

It's time to hop along with the Ink. Stamp. Share. August Blog Hop as we showcase products from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you for the holidays.
Today I thought I would share a clean and simple card design featuring the Gather Together Bundle (item #153036) from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. You may remember this returning favorite from last year's Holiday Catalog and I am so happy that it has made a comeback. I combined it with several products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog to create a design that would be perfect as a masculine Fall card. I love the soft texture of the background created with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (item #151775) and the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch is great for creating custom sized sentiment labels to suit longer sentiments. The color combination I chose was Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla and I used Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss the leaf image and sentiment. The beautiful ribbon is from the new Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (item #153553) in the new Mini Catalog as is part of the wonderful Gilded Autumn Suite.
 Products Used:
Gather Together Bundle (Mini Catalog) item #153036
Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (Annual Catalog) item #151775
Lovely Labels Pick A Punch (Annual Catalog) item #152883
Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (Mini Catalog) item #153553
Gold Embossing Powder
Measurements:
Mint Macaron cardstock card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (scored at 4 1/4")
Cajun Craze cardstock layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla cardstock layer - 5" x 3 3/4" (embossed with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder)
Cajun Craze cardstock strip - 3/4" x 3 1/4"
Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon - approx 4 1/2"
The leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set was stamped onto the Cajun Craze layer of cardstock (towards the top center) and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut the leaf image with the coordinating die from the Gathered Leaves Dies. I also die cut an opening in the top center of the Very Vanilla embossed cardstock layer using the same die. When assembling the card design, I attached the Cajun Craze cardstock layer to the Mint Macaron card base with adhesive. I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the Very Vanilla cardstock layer and attached the Mint Macaron Ribbon to the bottom of the layer approx. 3/4" from the bottom. I attached the Very Vanilla cardstock layer on top of the Cajun Craze layer and then added the die cut embossed leaf inside the opening with adhesive, pressing down firmly to attach it to the Cajun Craze cardstock layer. The sentiment layer was added to the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals to complete the design. The Gold Embossing adds a touch of elegance to the card that doesn't over power this simple design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to create your own holiday projects for the upcoming seasons with the amazing new products in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. There are so many wonderful options to choose from.

Ink. Stamp. Share. 2019 Holiday Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop as we showcase the amazing products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog which is also known as the Autumn/Winter Catalog in other regions. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects to inspire you as you get ready for the Holiday season. I hope that you will enjoy the ideas we have for you today.
My card design features products from the new Come To Gather Suite which is perfect for Fall projects. I chose to use the Gather Together Bundle (item #153036) with the Gather Together Photopolymer stamp set(item #150589) and coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies (item #150662) to create my card. When you order both of these products as a bundle, you save 10%. I chose to use Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie for my Fall color palette to create this design.
The background was created by stamping the large leaf image with Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment ink (itme #150707) onto the Soft Suede card base. I added a Cajun Craze cardstock banner that I embossed using the new Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (item #150646) to the card base as well as a smaller Early Espresso cardstock banner. The focal image was created by stamping the large leaf and pumpkin images and die cutting them with the coordinating dies. I colored the pumpkins with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers. The smaller leaves were die cut using the detailed embossing dies and I lightly sponged them with Soft Suede Classic ink to bring out the detailed embossing of the leaves. The sentiment was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and die cut with the Rectangle Stitched Dies (item #148551). I just love how these beautiful Fall colors work together. The Gather Together Bundle is very versatile and can be used for a variety of Fall themed cards and projects.
