ICS April Blog Hop Spring Is Sprung

It's time to hop along with the ICS April Blog Hop and this month we are celebrating Spring with the theme, "Spring Is Sprung". Our talented Design Team members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help you get creative.
When I think of Spring and flowers, it reminds me that Mother's Day is less than a month away. I decided to show some love to some of my retiring products to create this beautiful card design that requires minimal stamping and no coloring. The Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper has so many stunning floral designs that are perfect for creating lovely Spring projects. By mixing and matching products, it's amazing what you can create.

Flowers & Leaves die cut using the Blossoming Happiness Dies
This beautiful Mother's Day card is a wonderful combination of die cutting and designer series paper. The flowers and leaves have been die cut from one of the sheets of designer series paper that coordinates with the Blossoming Happiness Dies. The detailed background was created using the Split Card Textures Dies and I framed it with the large frame die from the Fabulous Frames Dies, using the Brushed Gold Metallic cardstock to step up the design. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Celebrating You stamp set with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the frame. To complete the card design, I added several Brushed Brass Butterflies for a subtle touch of bling. This card is perfect for creating beautiful cards quickly and without the fuss of coloring images. So many of the products I used are retiring, so if you would like to order them, I recommend doing it soon to avoid missing out.

Global Stamping Friends April Blog Hop Spring Loaded

It's time to hop along with the Global Stamping Friends April Blog Hop as we celebrate Spring. Here in Colorado we have had a week of typical Spring weather - sunshine, wind, snow and back to sunshine again. I think of Spring as a season of change and right now Stampin' Up! is also going through changes as we transition from 2022-2023 Annual Catalog to the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. That means saying goodbye to some old favorites as we get ready to welcome exciting new products to help spark out creativity.
My Spring card design features a mix of retiring products and products that will be carrying over to the new Annual catalog. My design features the wonderful 2022-2024 In Colors to create a fresh and fun card that works for a variety of occasions. The beautiful gold frame has been die cut with the retiring Fabulous Frames Dies to help step up this clean and simple card design using the Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock, which is also retiring. The Sending Smiles Bundle is perfect for creating beautiful cards and I am so happy that this stamp set and dies are carrying over to the new catalog, but take note that the bundle price is retiring. So if you want to save 10%, make sure to order this bundle while it's still available.

Sentiment Label stamped & die cut with the Sending Smiles Bundle
This bright and cheerful card design is simple to create and I love that the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes make it easy to create beautiful cards with just a few simple supplies. This card set is retiring and is on sale for just $4.00 for a pack of 20 card bases and 20 coordinating envelopes. That is a 60% discount. These cards coordinate perfectly with the 2022-2024 In Colors, so I chose to use Parakeet Party Classic ink for the stem and leaves and Tahitian Tide and Orchid Oasis Classic inks for the flowers.  To create the lightest flower, I stamped the first small flower with Orchid Oasis ink onto Basic White cardstock and then stamped it again onto the cardstock without reinking. I also stamped the large flower with Tahitian Tide Classic ink onto the Basic White cardstock and used the coordinating dies from the Sending Smiles Bundle to die cut the three flowers.
To create the focal image, I stamped the stem with leaves image onto the Basic White focal die cut using Parakeet Party ink and then added the three flowers with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up before adhering it to the front of the card base. For a touch of shimmer, I colored the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella to step up the design. I added the Gold Frame around the outside of the focal image and then added some Brushed Brass Butterflies to embellish the focal image. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the Sending Smiles stamp set using Orchid Oasis ink and then die cut it out with a coordinating die from the Sending Dies. I attached it to the front of the card base with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it below the focal image. To complete the design, I added two die cut Gold flowers to decorate the sentiment label and then added Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots to the centers of the flowers.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own wonderful Spring projects. There are so many wonderful products to explore to help spark your creativity.

Kylie's International Blog Highlights Winners Hop November 2022

I am so happy that you are joining me today to hop along with Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights Winners Hop. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for my card earlier this month and helping me to achieve this wonderful honor. You will have the opportunity to visit with Kylie Bertucci and the Top 10 Winners for November as they share wonderful new projects with the theme "Thank You". This amazing group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world, will help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects to show your appreciation for the people in your life.
Today I decided to create my card design with the Splendid Thoughts Bundle and coordinating Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It's hard to believe that these products will be retiring next month, so I decided to show them some love before they disappear. One of my favorite things about these products is that they work well for occasions throughout the year and the gorgeous foil designs in the designer series paper help to create elegant project designs. I decided to combine the pretty foil design with the coordinating reverse side of the designer series paper to create this elegant Thank You card.
Products Used:
Splendid Thoughts Bundle (item #159677)
Go To Greetings stamp set (item #158763)
Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #159666)
Fabulous Frames Dies (item #159163)
Calypso Coral Cardstock (item #122925)
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock (item #146988)
Soft Sea Foam Classic Ink Pad (item #147102)
Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154902)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels (item #158987)
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108)
Measurements:
Calypso Coral Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Sentiment Label die cut with the Fabulous Frames Dies
Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
Two stamped & die cut stems using the Splendid Thoughts Bundle
Half Circle die cut with the Splendid Stems Dies
Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" (non- foil side)
1 Detailed Framed die cut with the Fabulous Frames Dies (foil side)
1 Detailed Stem die cut with the Splendid Stems Dies (foil side)
4 Detailed Corners die cut with the Fabulous Frames Dies (foil side)
This elegant card design may look complicated but it is really quite simple to assemble. The great thing about this card design is that the detailed die cut pieces have been cut from the same sheet of designer series paper as the card front. I attached the four detailed corners to each of the corners of the card front and attached it to the Calypso card base. For the detailed frame, I attached it using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the top and bottom of the frame, centering it in the middle of the card front. To create the stems, I stamped the outline image twice and then stamped the coordinating leaves image to add depth and dimension, using Soft Sea Foam Classic ink. Note that the leaves image doesn't line up with the outline image, so don't worry about trying to get it perfectly aligned. I attached the Soft Sea Foam half circle die cut so that it lines up inside the bottom of the frame and attached it using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I did trim about 1/4" off the bottom edge of the half circle for my design, but you can choose to use the full die cut if you wish. Once I die cut the leaves with the coordinating die, I attached them underneath the top of the half circle using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals behind several of the leaves. For the detailed stem, I added it on top of the Soft Sea Foam leaves, centering it to complete the design. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Go To Greetings stamp set using Copper embossing powder to coordinate with the foil details. I added it to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it on top of the frame and half circle. To complete the card design, I added several small Iridescent Pearls, that I colored with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends Marker, to the sentiment label and card front for a touch of bling. This is not a color combination that I would normally choose to create with and I really love how it turned out. The great thing about Stampin' Up! designer series paper is that it provides you with a range of coordinating colors to help you create your own beautiful projects and takes the stress out of creating.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own wonderful Thank You cards to share with the people you care about. There are so many options to explore. Don't forget, the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog Last Chance List will be available December 1st and all retiring products will be available while supplies last.
